We have the same talent, and even more powerful convictions than the evil liberal left (yep, time to call a spade a spade.)   What is killing us is the corruption of cronyism and the holding on to power by the Country Club RINOs.  The Establishment Republicans are going to kill us … remember, I came from the Left, after surrendering to Christ on 9/21/2002.  I know these guys!  Most of them are actually true “believers” in their cause.

However, we who know the real and total truth that is only expressed in our Lord, Savior and King, Jesus, know that we — not them — with the power of the gospel and the movement of the Holy Spirit — are the only hope for saving this nation, Lord willing.

So, C’mon, turn off the TVs and let’s reason together!  I’ve never understood why there aren’t more groups like the DLC, but on the right.  Certainly, there should be a (careful here) Christian Republican Coalition within the GOP.  Just make sure it is CHRIST first!

Gosh, I thought I’d get a break from this after the election, but the Enemy is not resting, so neither can we.  First, Obama selects Rahm Emanuel (former DLC colleague of mine) as White House Chief of Staff.  Who is Rahm?  Hmm… I think I have to try and figure out how to translate this to my conservative allies.  Let me try.  

For those of you in the Grand OLD party, I’m sure you’ll remember the late Lee Atwater.  Take Atwater, add all of Rove, throw in a chunk of pre-Christ Colson and you’ve got a ferocious stew brewing.  Now, throw in the brilliant mind and ideas of Newt Gingrich … and finally, add the arrogance, but extreme competency and agility of Lucifer himself … now you’re getting close to understanding Rahm Emanuel***. 

At the height of the Clinton impeachment, Tony Blair hopped over the pond to stand by Clinton’s side.  Shoulder to shoulder (he’s good at that!).  Just before their live television performance, the 30-something year old Emanuel barked to the Prime Minister of Great Britain … “Don’t F@#K THIS UP!”  Excuse the language … he said it, not me.  Rahm was the genius mind behind the 2006 Democrat congressional wins.  Rahm is, or he was, in line to be the next Speaker of the House.  And yet he recognizes the power of the moment, and is leaving to RUN the White House.

Putting RahmBo (his nickname) as Chief of Staff can mean only one thing to me — the brutal implementation of an agenda that Obama knows must be executed quickly and efficiently.  Yes, they’ll throw some media morsels to assure the Right … watch, you’ll see a number of Republicans in his new cabinet.  That is, if you consider Colin Powell and Chuck Hagel Republicans!  RINO alert!

***  Like many others on the Left, Rahm is a true believer (why in the world I cannot convince my beloved friends that so many on the left ARE TRUE BELIEVERS in their ideology!  I HEARD with my own ears Hillary Clinton in the late 80’s declare she could not BELIEVE any true Christian could be a REPUBLICAN.  At the time, I AGREED.)  The Reality of the risen Christ and the REAL presence of the Holy Spirit following my unconditional surrender to Christ on 9/21/2002 taught me anew … the Biblical Worldview of TRUTH consumed me and does to this day  … BUT, I can’t stand those on the Right who think their opponents are always lying or disingenuous b/c of their ideology.  It’s almost akin to Americans who can’t believe/grasp the ideology of the Suicide Bombers in Islam.  Wake up folks!  You don’t blow yourself up unless you BELIEVE!

We will never defeat this domestic enemy, with his new army of ideologues trained (surreal) in our own institutions of higher learning, until we can GRASP that concept.  Christ is TRUTH.  Once more, because this is not a cliche or something you have heard a million times at your church.  CHRIST IS TRUTH.  Lean on that, and not your own understanding.  The time is fast approaching when the 2nd American Civil War begins in earnest.  All leading to this has been but a prelude.  

I am so, so sorry that this is happening. BUT, freedom is not free.  Our Lord endured the Cross for the GLORY.  If God would allow his only begotten SON to suffer for the salvation of mankind … who are you??? Why are you holding anything back, my brothers?  (And sisters!)

The economic engine of America was the catalyst for the greatest missionary movement in history.  I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo proud of, yes, my SBC brothers and sisters in Christ who have gone to the four corners of the earth to proclaim the gospel.  It KILLS me however, when we allow the bozos/haters at (for just one example) the Westboro Baptist Church (the ones with the signs “God Hates Fags” who protest at every military funeral) to go unchecked!  They destroy the BRAND (read:image) of Baptist and no one with any money at the SBC fights back!  In doing so, they further destroy the precious true image of the church and Christ!  C’mon SBC administration — we need an image campaign big, “bad” and BOLD.  Our missionaries were MARTYRED around the globe, and what … you guys are afraid to knock off these nuts at Westboro who claim to be Baptist???  What are you doing with all those Millions and Millions and Millions of Dollars?

Imagine if you could go back in time to October 2001 and say to a group of people — “In seven years you people are going to elect, by your own free will, a former Muslim, radical socialist, who supports even infanticide if it is the wish of the mother, and yes, whose name is actually BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA.  Louis Farrakhan will claim he is the Messiah to the Muslim World, and on the economic front you will actually hear him say ‘its a tragedy that ‘redistribution of wealth’ has not been pursued by the Supreme Court.” 

I’d wager those 2001 Americans would wonder what killer weed you were smoking, dude — that’s INSANE!

Today, October 27, we are fast heading toward the abyss.  And for those of us who have fought on the side of righteousness, we know full well that it will be the next 2 Supreme Court nominations a President Obama will fill, aided by his filibuster proof 65+ Democrat Senators, that will completely destroy everything we’ve worked so hard to prevent.

Since my surrender to Christ in 2002, I’ve given literally everything I’ve had to champion these issues that the Lord placed on my heart.  Regrettably, the support and effort (lack of) of those in the church has been abysmal.  The Kingdom Warriors are a very, very small group.  I am proud to have been one of them the past 6 years, fighting the good fight!

And yes, we know full well that we will win in the end, and that God is in complete control!  To be certain, the calamity approaching will give us tremendous opportunities to reach the lost for Christ, which is our first and foremost priority.  You see, in my opinion, it was not only that the church refused to stand against evil, it also failed miserably to truly evangelize the lost HERE IN AMERICA.    

The selfish, insular church that decided it was more important to create a parallel culture rather than penetrate this one as Salt and Light; being in the world but not of it, is ultimately the cause of the judgment to come.  When we cease to be salt and light, what good are we for anything???

The good news is that there is SALT and LIGHT in this country, they’ve just been kept hidden in the buildings they hide in every Sunday so no one can actually see their good deeds.  The vast, vast, vast, number of Evangelical Pastors in America have worked hard to keep them there!  

I’m confident — gosh I can’t say that — my hope of hopes is that the church in America will finally become a Forward Leaning Church that will love and serve sacrificially and that as the Darkness descends on this land of ours, we will finally live up to our Lord’s command for us.

“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men.  “You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. 15Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.”  Matthew 5:13-16

Finally, back to Jerry Falwell.  His prediction came to pass in less than 20 years.  The willful election of an Apostate Muslim (has to do with how our enemies will see him) as President and Commander-in-Chief (umm, doesn’t he have an important role in controlling our nuclear arsenal???) of these United States less than 8 years after the worst attack on American soil and in the midst of a Global War against Radical Islamists is about to happen.

The slippery slope is turning into a sheet of ice and the angle is increasing.   Hmm, is it really too impossible to think something like thismight happen in less than 5 years???

This past June 1 I packed my belongings and stored them prior to moving home to Fort Worth.  A month earlier I had promised my Dad to spend the summer working with him, after he had begged me, literally, to help save his life.  I also looked forward to a time away from Austin to complete my first (well, nearly complete) full length feature documentary.  So, for reasons noble and practical, I left Austin for DFW … not that far, but far enough.

With Jordan away (he was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes about a year ago — that’s another story for another day … I am so proud of his strength and courage in dealing with this) to the national Juvenile Diabetes camp for a full month with no contact, and the majority of our clients off in a variety of camps and mission trips, I was enthusiastic about the opportunity to really focus on Dad and his recovery.  Dad was 50-70 lbs overweight, unable to sleep in bed at night, and had a myriad of health problems that were overwhelming him and his caregivers, including me! 

All the indicators painted a dire picture — pre-Diabetes II, a heart capacity of barely 40%, and a rather dismal record on major diet initiatives.  However, to his credit, and my great appreciation, he was extremely motivated to succeed. As with most diet plans, the first few weeks are often the most difficult because of the dramatic lifestyle changes required — and my plan to reverse Dad’s weight gain was indeed a dramatic change in course.  As much as I wanted to be more flexible in my approach, I just did not have any alternatives that I knew were capable of success, and with such a narrow time frame to work in, I demanded that my plan be enacted exactly as I prescribed.  No discussion, no debate!

Perhaps because the situation was so dire I met little to no resistance from Mom or Dad.  All other measures had failed, and there was really a sense that my plan was the final serious initiative to save Dad’s life.  This was key to our eventual success. That said, I feel that I should add the following … “Were their other plans/methods/tactics that might have been successful?”  I’m sure there were.  However, I did not know of any other that I had seen/witnessed/participated in that had worked other than the plan I proposed.  For the first time, I will outlay the precise diet and methodology we followed.  While I feel very confident that it is/was a heart healthy nutritional diet, I cannot validate any of these measures as a medical doctor would — however, I’d be delighted to read any responses from the Professional Medical Community!

In a nutshell, my Diet plan was based on what I call the “Replacement Fat Diet” — a restrictive low carb diet that utilizes the replacement of “bad” fats such as those associated with bacon/cheese/red meat with more heart healthy alternatives such as olive oil, avocados, and lean meats and cheeses.  Further, finding outstanding alternatives to traditional high calorie/high carbohydrate staples such as pasta and tortillias proved to be extremely important in our overall diet plan.  For example, Dreamfield’s pasta provided great tasting products with 1/10th the Carbs.  Likewise, Mission Lo-Carb tortillas provided the same great taste as their other foods, with a fraction of the carbs.  My consistent use of Olive Oil and Avocados as “fats” to replace all the other “fats” in a typical diet proved invaluable.  Hence, the replacement fats (Olive Oil and Avocado) reduced overall cholesterol, sodium, and fat intake, while simultaneously promoting much healthier alternatives that were just as rich and delicious as the alternatives, with much greater health benefits!

I started my father on this new diet plan around May 15, 2008 and the results speak for themselves.  He weighed 259 lbs that day.  I do not know his other vital statistics, but can only imagine!  This I do know — the day he and Mom left for their 55 year class reunion on October 6th — he weighed 208 lbs.  In approximately four months he had lost just over 50 lbs, while increasing muscle strength and stamina.

What joy to have Jordy join me after his month at camp — he was a total blessing — totally committed to his Grandpa! He makes his claim to being the tallest Hurlburt at 6′1″+ and only 15 years old!!

I caught up with Dad for the first time since the reunion yesterday, and I am happy to report that he has kept his weight at 208, (update — he’s at 206) AND somehow managed to improve his Basketball Game!   It seems like an eternity ago that day in the first week of June when he labored onto the court with me for the first time in many, many years.

I remembered vividly how he was so weak and frail that he couldn’t even lift the ball to hit the rim from directly beneath it.  I know he was devastated, because he had been such a great athlete.  In that moment I had to restrain my desire to cry like a baby … it was just devastating.   But in my spirit, prompted by the Holy Spirit, my mind, will and resolve found unity and I discovered a strength I had never known before.  Lord willing, and the Lord as my witness, I would not permit this to happen to my Daddy.  I would do anything, fight through any obstacle, obliterate any who would oppose me, and as the Lord gave me strength, I would simply not allow the Enemy (and yes, I will capitalize his name not out of respect but of recognition to the significance of his personhood and the understanding of the ferocity he holds within his mind and his intentions — he is real!) to take him from me.  My Dad would not die like this, as long as the Lord gave me breath.

4 months later — Yep, it took an extra month, which was incredibly difficult to agree to, but now I am sooooooo glad I didn’t leave before VICTORY!  He totally and legitimately beat me last week in 4 consecutive games of “Horse” — they were close games — but seeing my beloved Daddy nail 3 point shots from 20 feet over and over again … well, I’m confident I’ll never be so elated in losing!!!

I’m confident that this blessed time focusing on, literally, saving my Dad’s life was undoubtedly important, and most likely critical to understanding the measures we must face, address, and implement in the battle to preserve our Republic. Our Democratic values, our Free Market capitalist system, and our beloved Nation — these are the institutions we all hold dear and cherish — they are worth fighting for!

I love you all so much, and look forward to fighting along side you in the days ahead.  I pray that so many of our leaders will finally “chuck off” the virtual, illusory chains that bind them, and speak the truth with boldness and conviction!

Finally, I must confess that I certainly do not fear an Obama Presidency in the sense so many do.  His values are diametrically opposed to mine, which certainly makes me question nearly everything he claims to stand for, including, YES, his claim to CHRIST.  I have I uploaded a new video I made that raises the legitimate question of his ties to Islam.  If he is indeed my brother in Christ, I am more than willing to reconcile with him in brotherly love.  But first, he will have to renounce Mohammed as a legitimate prophet of God — renounce this false religion, Senator Obama.  I fear neither you, nor any man.  I fear the Lord.

Only God knows the true condition of any human heart, and therefore, while I cannot judge the heart of Obama, I can absolutely question the validity of his claim to Christ — the preponderance of evidence I have reviewed suggests not Christ, but anti-Christ. 

Political Correctness may try to dictate terms, but the Christian Patriots will — they MUST — demand a new dialogue.  Unfortunately, the results of these elections, or the massive fraud associated with them, will undoubtedly lead to conflict and violence, which I regret.  However, the stakes have never been higher, nor the differences between our two major parties/ideologies greater.

The time has come when we can no longer in any measure of good faith agree to “go along” as if all is well — it is not.  The vision for America as espoused by Senator Obama is virtually - no, literally — opposite of mine.   The state of our beloved Country demands nothing less, and any effort that fails to meet this will in very short order work to usher in a radical socialist takeover of all our institutions of government AND business, and eventually all spheres of public life.  The RESULT of this will be a diabolical imposition of the Freedom to share the Gospel, unbelievably, not in the Soviet Union, but in these United States.

Lord willing, and as long as the Lord gives me breath, I will declare – 

NOT ON MY WATCH!  NOT THIS DAY OR THE NEXT.  NOT ON NOV. 4TH.  NOT EVER!   PRESS ON MY BROTHERS!!!

The time has come to take up our cross and follow Him.

As I looked out over the horizon, surveyed the lake and the hills, then turned and watched Kat and Jordan playing catch in the pool, I felt a brief serenity. As I reflected, however, on the events (or more accurately, the non-events) of the day, I began to grieve as I realized that we were going to lose this war, this Second American Civil War.I had just saved a screen shot from CNN at 5:30 PM, May 17, 2004, and the headline was about a Busy Hurricane Season Forecast — not a single mention of gay marriage on the top 2/3 of the site. I watched a video news segment from the BBC, and realized more than ever the importance of our (the church) reaction to this issue. If there was little reaction, the narrator said, clearly more states would line up to quickly follow suit.  With a very few notable exceptions, I was just overwhelmed by the complete apathy in the Church, and particularly with our Pastors. I could be disgusted, angry, and frustrated after proclaiming in so many words and messages to ears that were deafer than dead. But it was grief that overtook me. I wept.  

Now, I know that His Kingdom in Heaven will be our eternal joy. I trust Him in this, but I cannot imagine it (1 Corinthians 2:9). I suppose that many of the ecclesia have chosen to cocoon themselves and their families and await God’s judgment. Please remember, however, the words of our Lord when he taught us to pray … Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on Earth as it is in heaven. I leaned out on the balcony and I began to pray; truthfully I just opened my heart and listened. I shuddered as I began to grasp what was about to happen. 

Horrible. 

Now, I pleaded with the Lord, I begged Him. Over and over I heard that still, small voice insist “This will not stand.” Behind me all the world was oblivious to what was about to happen! I asked Him again, was there any to avoid this? I cannot honestly tell you that I believe any of the following could ever happen; but I will share with you what I saw in my mind. I saw the Nation’s Capital, and a montage of all the state’s capitals, with millions and millions of people assembled. More people than have ever assembled publicly in our nation’s history. Nothing, nothing has ever been close.

The Faithful! 

No one carried a sign in protest. No one yelled. In fact, they were silent. There were others screaming and taunting, but the silent masses moved into place. No one made any action to draw personal attention.  No speaker. No words. As far as the eye could see, the silent majority fell on their knees, fell face first. Praying, weeping, asking God’s forgiveness for the sins our nation has committed. Then I heard a man saying he couldn’t come and I began to tell him and many others –

“Why do you worry about your job, position and stature? These things are already lost and worthless.   Your plans and commitments and schedules and vacations and weddings, and yes, your funerals – for every reason you can concoct and every sound rationale you give for not participating · unacceptable. The sin you have committed is worthy of judgment.   You are without excuse!”

The lame will endure true hardship, but they will come. The deaf will hear in their bones the thunderous march when my people, who are called by my name, humble themselves before me (and if before me, then before all who can see) and pray, and commit themselves anew · The whole world will see that my Spirit is with this people.

With the overwhelming (literally) amount of evidence coming out against Senator Obama, I can only imagine how he would have pressed the candidate in these final days.  

TR - Senator Obama, the record is clear that you are a professing Christian and have been most of your adult life.  But do you think it matters, as the potential commander in chief of the US military, that some in the Muslim world consider you a Muslim, if only because of the circumstances of birth?  I’m sure you’ve seen the video circulating from Libyan Dictator Moammar Gaddafi claiming you are indeed of “Muslim heritage”?

BO - You know Tim, frankly, it is hard for me to imagine how anyone, yourself included, can continue to fabricate such preposterous –

TR - (interrupting) Fair enough, but what about the numerous allegations of your continued involvement and interference in the Kenyan elections for your cousin, Raol Odinga?  Do you deny he is your cousin??  Or the claims by, again, Louis Farrakahn that you are the Muslim Messiah??

I’ve read that Tom Brokaw has said that he “talks to Timmy every day” — I just wonder if the next time he calls he might ask to borrow just one ounce of Russert’s integrity.
