Thanks for the audio link. It sounded good, but, no I didn’t remember that song.

A little before my time. 11 years to be exact.

But “Cream” is a cool name for a band. Good song.

So. Every time I hear the song “Sunshine of Your Love” by Cream (1967), I cringe when they get to the lines:

“Yes, I’m with you my love,
It’s the morning and just … we … two.”

Shouldn’t it be “just US two”?

My vote:

“Somebody is worse off than we.”

My reasoning:

Extend the sentence to its natural conclusion:

“Somebody is worse off than we [are].”

That’s more natural and correct sounding than writing:

“Somebody is worse off than us [are].”

or
Somebody is worse off than we.

Chloe,

I don’t think I’ve ever had one of the sugary, caffeinated energy drinks. The closest I’ve come is drinking Mountain Dew, which I do sometimes enjoy.

But, I much prefer tea, and especially green tea. In fact, I’m drinking some hot Ito En green tea as I type this.
