Recently, apple launched iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s plus business class phones in India. Packed with new features, these phones are available in India at very affordable prices starting from Rs. 72000 and iPhone 6s plus available on Rs. 96000. People are really excited about apple’s new phones.

But we met a guy, who rejected apple and did not show any interest in its new phone. Shocked with his wisdom, we were highly curious to know the basis of his decision of rejecting these premium phones. The guy’s name is RoyMyBoy and he hails from Longewala, Rajasthan. We were very keen to interview this gentleman.

Interview:

Raul: Hi, RoyMyBoy.

RoyMyBoy:first of all, I want to clear one thing, I am not your boy.

Raul: So what should I call you?

RoyMyBoy: you can call me Roy, even the movie Roy is based on my life.

Raul:Leave it! I came to know that you have rejected apple’s iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s plus.

RoyMyBoy:Yes, the phones are useless.

Raul: Why?

RoyMyBoy: I was excited about the phone, but when I gone through the list of the features apple offering in the phone, I was shocked.

Raul: what was missing?

RoyMyBoy:the phone is not having android operating system. It has iOS which I am sure is useless.

Raul: do you know what iOS is?

RoyMyBoy:certainly, I know. It is indian Operating system.

Raul: oh crap! Leave it RoyMyBoy; it was my mistake interviewing you.

My 11 beautiful memories of 25th Year

Today is my 26^th birthday and with the morning glare I grasped one thing; it wasn’t that easy to begin from the starting line of 25 to reach the magical number of 26. It is special because I almost perished on my expedition of life.

It all made me think that what I did in my previous one year which was distinctive, funky and with the folds of time I don’t want to erase from my memory.

1. 25^thBirthday Gala. Let us begin from the start line. I was standing with my senior and friend and I acknowledged this special cake which surprised me. I wasn’t expecting anything like that. The girl who sent me the cake from hundreds of miles away went on to become my lifetime partner.

2. Trip to Hell. My bicycle trip to Patalpani and Choral dam of Madhya Pradesh. It was almost 80 kms of cycle outing which we had decided spontaneously. Physically it was challenging but with the determination and company of one of my dear friends, we made it possible.

3. The eeriest thing which I had ever done was asking a girl in middle of the road for a cup of coffee at coffee café day in the city of Indore. My luck was, she agreed. Honestly, I never knew I can be so conclusive.

4. The Bhopal Bike Ride. It was the oddest thing which we guys can do. Captain K10 and I decided one fine morning to go to Bhopal on Royal Enfield. It was 250 kms from our place. Interestingly, we did it by riding the bike on 100 kms/hr. on an average. The interesting part about this trip was the bike ride and race against the time.

5. Commando. The month of February and March was the most perturbing month when we dreamed with open eyes throughout the brightest of the days and darkest of nights. We were pushed beyond our limits, and we discovered new heights of our abilities.

6. The Ghost Night. I don’t believe in ghosts but on my trip to Panchmari, I experienced the supernatural activities. Still, I do not believe but it had beaten up all the logics and scientific laws. Horrifying ten days which I had spent in Panchmari.

7. Ice Climbing. I learnt ice climbing and rock climbing. Rock climbing is difficult but ice climbing was real fun. Also, I learnt rescue drills of avalanche and crevasse rescue drills. So, you can trust me and come along to explore the icy hills.

8. Trip to Dharamshala. I made bike trip to Dharamshala, one of the most beautiful places in Himachal. Visited the little Lhasa, learnt few things about Buddhists, and as a cricket fan how I could miss the beautiful Dharamshala cricket stadium.

9. Foodie.I am a big time foodie and how could I leave the chance of eating in every eating joint of Chandigarh.

10. Hill Station. I spent almost six weeks on the beautiful spur of Kausali, enjoyed its hospitality, food. Basically, I was recovering from my injuries and getting ready for the next adventure of my life.

11. Kissing the girl. I kissed a girl named Shabana in the middle of road while it was heavily raining. Well the feeling cannot be explained but it made place in my memorable memories, one of the most romantic moment of my life.

25 Facts about Battle of Longewala

I am ready to bet that these facts will surprise you and I am sure you were not aware about it.

1. Major Kuldeep Singh Chandpuri was the company commander of one of the companies of 23^rd Battalion of Punjab regiment which took defences in Longewala. It was a detached company which implies that rest of the battalion had taken up defences far away from the location.

2. The distance between Longewala and the 23 Punjab Battalion location by road was approximately 26 kms. This meant that in case Longewala was attacked then it would be difficult to reinforce the Longewala defences on time.

3. Tactical commanders considered Longewala as less important location, and this was the reason to employ just one detached company.

4. Pakistanis entered India from a place called Ghotaru which is 40 kms by road away from Longewala. There was direct axis from where they could have attacked Jaisalmer.

5. Pakistanis objective was to attack Jaisalmer and not Longewala.

6. Pakistani came with an armoured brigade which meant more than 2000 soldiers along with tanks.

7. Pakistani armoured brigade commander came to know that there is a company sitting on Longewala. Knowing this, he changed the route and marched towards Longewala. Pakistani came in search of enemy. No one knows, what was going in his head. If they had ignored Longewala then they would easily reached and attacked Jaisalmer on that fateful night.

8. Pakistanis reached Longewala approximately 0030 hours. They saw that there was fencing which they interpreted as fences for mines.

9. Actually, those fences were not depicting mines but BSF had kept it to keep their camels within the periphery. This confusion played vital role in deciding the fate of Indian Soldiers.

10. Before all this, the battalion commander had asked Major Kuldeep Singh Chandpuri to withdraw from Longewala with his company as they were overwhelmed by Pakistanis in numbers.

11. Major Kuldeep Singh Chandpuri had only approximately 80 odd men to fight against an armoured brigade. Major Kuldeep Singh Chandpuri decided to hold the ground till death.

12. In the confusion of the mine fences, Pakistani soldiers started breaching the mine field, in which they wasted almost four hours.

13. Perfection of fire control was displayed in this battle. For the four hours, Indians did not open fire, not even a single bullet was fired. Because of darkness, Indians defences remains unseen by Pakistanis.

14. Indians called for air support, but the hunters aircraft deployed in the sector were not having the capability to fly in night. This meant, the brave men of Punjab regiment had to hold the ground till the first light.

15. When Pakistani soldiers reached 70 meter short of the trenches of Indian troops, the first bullet was fired by India. The time now was approximately 0430 hours in morning.

16. By this time, the morale of the Pakistani troops had died down as they had marched for several kilometres and till early morning they had not seen the fight.

17. The Pakistani commander was killed by RCL gun which was held up by this company.

18. No one in this world has won the battle being in defences. Indians were in defences and they won the battle of Longewala by defending the ground. This is the only battle till now in which defending force won.

19. By the first light Indian Air Force Bombers bombarded the Pakistani tanks and Pakistanis were forced to retreat. Literally, the Pakistani soldiers started running back to save their life.

20. Approximately 135 Pakistani soldiers were killed and several captured. Their tanks were also captured as the war memento by the Indians. India lost the life of 2 brave hearted Jawans.

21. Leadership of Major Kuldeep Singh Chandpuri was exceptional who led and utilized the bravest soldiers of 23 Punjab.

22. After three days, India launched counter attack led by 19^th battalion of the Kumaon Regiment. It was the day light attack launched early in the morning, and Indian army captured three Pakistani Ranger’s post opposite to the Longewala sector.

23. In this counter attack India did not lose even a single life.

24. Indian army was considered weak in day light battles.

25. But this counter attack changed all perception and showed the enemy that sometimes numbers cannot overshadow the bravery.

This is my salute to all those soldiers of 23 Punjab who showed young warlords of Indian Army that sometimes tactics become meaningless in front of determination and sheer conviction.

Choose One: Reward or Punishment

As a manager you happenstance diverse kind of people with exceptional nature. None of them is same and handling them is not easy. It becomes more difficult when you do the conventional mistake of putting them in friend zone. The key to handle lies in your command and control over your subordinates. Command and control is an art and to master this knack there is a simple rule of REWARD and PUNISHMENT.

It comes to your wisdom that when to reward someone and when to punish someone. It is not necessary that somebody is working just fine and you will reward him. It is also not necessary that if somebody is not at all working then you will punish him. Interesting, isn’t it? Reward and punishment is a game, in which your main objective is to play with the reactions and psychology of your subordinates. Remember one thing, you cannot lose. Defeat is never acceptable in any game which you play as a manager on the professional front.

To give you superior insight of this key to command, I will share a very small and funny example. Recently, I had to spend lot of time in office which meant 24 hours, and got two helpers, one in day time and other one for the night time. Initially, I wasn’t keen to keep them, so I used to call them on hourly basis; this meant they got lot of relaxation time. The helper in day time was undisciplined and the night one was smart and obedient.

Now, after a week I realized that they both were going disorderly. Though the night guy was working OK but still there was a change in attitude and day guy started dictating his conditions on me in a respectful manner. This only implied that I was losing command and control and I had to regain it. I was losing the game and I can’t tolerate losing.

The solution for this was reward and punishment. I started making the day guy to sit for the complete duration on a chair outside my office. The work was same and frankly there was no need to make him sit for such long hours but this was his punishment. Actually, it was his job to be there in day time, but as he was getting relaxation before, now it became pain for him. I continued to stay same with the night guy, and he kept on getting relaxation for the good work. This not only brought the tension between the two but also broke the unity.

Conclusion was that I regained command and control. The day guy became disciplined as he understood that indirectly he was getting punished and the night guy understood that he may suffer the same. One got punishment and the other got reward and the psychology of human to compare each other made my job easy.

This is the power of Reward and Punishment. Reward one and punish the other. This trick is like walking on a sharp sword, it may back fire on you. You need to decide when and who to reward or punish. A good manager is one who doesn’t lose his calm and remember be ruthless but maintain smile on your face.

This afternoon, I was sitting on lunch table and fervently waiting for my lunch plus conversing with one of the army officer, Captain K10. We were conferring about my previous blog post and our banter went on to OROP (one rank one pension scheme) which followed by Chetan Bhagat’s interpretations.

He accentuated that Army clan is not much happy with this veteran Army Brat and his comments inspired by lack of research. This blog post is fundamentally the result of the hassles made by Captain K10 to write something on Chetan Bhagat and OROP. So sir, here we go, this blog post is only and only for you.

By the way, Chetan Bhagat if you can try to steal lime light by speaking meaningless statements about OROP then as your junior why I should remain behind. So this is my deliberate efforts to steal the lime light. I am aware that I cannot be so perfect in stealing lime light as Chetan does, but kindly appreciate my efforts.

Answers to Chetan Bhagat from random Army Officers (Names not mentioned, so it is your wish to consider it as fake or genuine).

1. Chetan Bhagat, were you rejected from Service Selection Board of Armed Forces? It looks like you were and now you are really unhappy that Veterans of Armed forces who have served with glory for this country are going to get better pension benefits. Well now, if you were rejected then it is now highly justifiable.

2. Mr Chetan Bhagat, being son of an army officer or army personnel doesn’t mean that you will know or you have experienced everything about army life. A dependent even doesn’t know how this organisation functions. One can only know if he has served in it. Certainly, you never got the privilege to be part of the elite group.

3. You had mentioned in your OROP article that, pensioners will receive highest pension on that rank. Well, this statement it self-shows lack of research and efforts made by you to find facts about OROP. So let me enlighten you, the pensioner will receive mean pension and the person getting highest pension will keep on getting the same pension but the lowest one will get the mean pension. So the mean pension will be calculated. This is a small fact, rest I leave on you that you will put some effort to download the pdf file and read then give an honest review.

4. Mr Chetan Bhagat, BSF only serves on borders, but what about counter insurgency/counter terrorism, where armed forces are fighting the low intensity conflict war. Siachen is a war posting where no paramilitary force is employed. When situation worsen in Kashmir or naxalite areas then why you want to call army, why not paramilitary? And when army veterans’ demand for logical benefits then you wants to question that why not paramilitary is included. For your information, they do have contributory pension scheme.

5. Chetan, kindly research, research, and research before you write anything. Now, you can see it has hurt sentiments of several people.

6. I will go with the words of Apoorva; armed forces will never go on a strike but imagine in your wildest dream if it happens someday, then what will be the consequences? Just imagine, don’t share because I am not interested to know what you imagine in your wildest dreams.

There are many more such replies to Chetan which I cannot share because I have to obey censorship guidelines of electronic media laid down by Government of India. Chetan you should understand the fact that 12000 crores will not be a liability on Indian Government but it is an investment for the better future. If Modi government is dreaming about digital India, economically strong India then one need peaceful environment, terrorist free environment in society after which it is possible that companies like Facebook and Google will invest in this country. India will never regret for the 12000 crores of investment, trust me Chetan.

Do You Really Know What is Digital India???

Yesterday, Prime Minister of India, Narender Modi had interaction with numerous IT magnates of United States such as Facebook, Google and many more. He deliberated his vision of digital India and flourished to persuade these world leaders of information technology to contribute to fulfil his vision of digital India.

Suddenly, in evening the founder of Facebook Mark Zuckerberg changed his Facebook profile picture to a new one in which tricolour of Indian flag was part of it. He did this in support of digital India, which implies a direct support from the one of the most efficacious IT giant. In his support, Prime Minister Narender Modi also changed his profile pic with the new picture of tricolour in it.

In middle of all these events, I sustained to perform like an untaught and completely unacquainted about digital India. My prying led me to the probe and lots and lots of reading to find about digital India.

3. Services to be available online

4. Educating citizens about effectively using the digital media.

5. Generating job opportunities.

6. Secure Cyber Space

7. Generation of citizen cloud on which data sharing and data storage will be possible.

To achieve the above objectives and bring the vision into reality, government is going to give required to leverage and also encourage digital industries. Suitable environment will be created for the IT industry to contribute in fulfilling the vision. This means huge expansion of digital industry in India as the government is ensuring the reach and consumers of digital media will increase in next ten years.

In 21^st century, setbacks are certainly not conventional. Therefore, every single soul wants to attain brilliance. But what is the formula to achieve attainment? Many people are looking for the methods and keys which will unlock the door of triumph in their life. In this article, we will mainly discuss about the first step towards winning a war.

The Nameless Heroes

It was another slothful sunrise, when I opened my eyes and looked on the wall clock. Wall clock was sniggering on me and said ‘You can only dream to wake up up early, but the will from inside has died!’ I flouted my make-believe friend and continued to adore the cosiness of my blanket. Yes, I am languid and I delight in sleeping till late. I know you are not interested to know about my lifestyle but this saga is very much allied with my sleep. I was on a visit and got the privilege to stay in army guest room.

There was a knock on door, and I was alert that my room attendant must be waiting to apprise my room with all the necessitating stuff which I may use. I told him that door is open and he is very much welcome inside till the time he is not going to spoil my laziness. The attendant entered and I saw sheen on his uniform. I was surprised; he was not the regular room attendant.

I was staring at his uniform. He was rank of nayak (equivalent to corporal) and he was looking confident. His medal made me snooping which was the only extra thing on his uniform other than his name tab. I indulged myself into the conversation and I came to know that he is from grenadiers’ regiment.

Grenadiers regiment is one of the most decorated regiments of the Indian Army. Knowing this fact, I became more attentive and paid close attention on the glorious stories of his battalion. His battalion was one of the units during Kargil war which contributed in capture of tololing. Also, he told me that in 2011, his battalion neutralised 15 terrorists in which 14 were killed and one was made to surrender and all of them were non-nationals in Kashmir valley. He was part of that team and earned gallantry award. With a sad tone he also told me that during that operation one of the Lieutenant of his unit was martyred. The brave lieutenant was awarded Shaurya Chakra posthumous. He was proud that he served and operated with gallant lieutenant. Most amazing fact about this soldier was that he served continuously for seven years Jammu and Kashmir countering the terrorists.

I was mesmerized when he started speaking about political disturbance in Jammu and Kashmir, and modus-operandi of terrorist organisations. His level of intellectualism and knowledge of facts is highly impressive.

Do you know, what is the entry qualification required to be a Jawan in Indian Army? It is just 10^th or 12^th pass. Whereas, an officer of Indian army is required to be a graduate. This creates an intellectual difference between jawans and officers. But one can bridge this gap over the time by reading, observing the society, discussions and experience. My room attendant was a fine example of growth. His confidence was evident and I enjoyed talking to him. I discussed various things with him for about an hour. His gallant act of neutralising terrorist and his intellectual level made him a hero for me.

NOTE: I haven’t taken any names in this article intentionally because it may raise objections. Few things are supposed to be secret and I have tried my best to keep it the way it should be.

There are many such heroes in India which are still strangers for common people. He told me one thing that civilians underestimate an army soldier. He expected that perception about soldiers in India will change. One day will come in near future when Train ticket examiners will stop asking bribes during train journey to give confirm tickets. Shopkeepers will stop charging more money than the MAXIMUM RETAIL PRICE.

When I was roaming in Vizag, there was a 1971 war memorial on which a very meaningful statement was written. Exact lines I don’t remember but it meant

‘A nation who does not respect its war heroes doesn’t deserve to have a future’.

It is a beautiful statement which really makes sense. I met a hero who is nameless to this country, who had killed ‘n’ number of terrorists. If they were not killed then maybe they would have killed YOU.

The Art of Human Resource Management

If you are running a business, company or you are head of organisation then you should know how to effectively utilize the resources available. People working under you are resources or more than that. You can call them valuable asset which you have procured after conducting a selection procedure which you felt is suitable to shortlist people who are fit for your organisation.

But why you are not able to meet the desired results which you always thought would be easier while selecting suitable candidate. Is your decision making is poor? I don’t think so as you have reached such a good height in your life. Then does it mean that people you selected are not efficient enough to deliver you what you are looking for? The answer can be yes if they are not qualified enough and the answer can also be NO if they have requirement qualification. Then what is the problem? May be the problem is you.

No! No!! I am not questioning your capability but I am surely questioning your way of functioning. As a good manager you should be aware about the strengths and weakness of your resources. If you know your employee is excellent in hardware and good in programing then you should utilize him for domain of hardware. You can keep him as backup for the programing part as he is GOOD but not excellent. Your employee will feel satisfied and may be happy working for his strengths rather than weakness. Nobody wants to be in the zone where he feels uncomfortable. I am sure even you don’t want to be in uncomfortable zone.

Therefore, one can separate out the employees into categories. They should not feel discriminated and to achieve this you have to keep this method a secret. If they will come to know about the categories then people in different category may feel superior to other categorised employees and thus it will affect the morale of everyone in the organisation.

Divide people into the category depending upon their capability. Make a diary, note down the strengths and weakness of each individual. You can only know about their weakness and strengths when you interact with them and spend more time with them on floor. Interact with them on one-on-one basis. Observe them on floor, their way of functioning, give them tasking in such a manner that you can judge them. Be a critic, but a positive critic.

Human resource is the most important resource which one can have. Firing a youngster is a biggest mistake which one can do. If you have selected them then they are suitable to chase down the targets which you are aspiring for in order to win. Use your most experienced employee to create new cadre, who can replace him when he will retire. Be observant rather than ignorant. Trust me, this way of functioning will make you a better manager but also improve relations with your employees on personal and professional front.

Movie Review: Dil Dhadkne Do

I am big movie fan and watching movies on a regular basis from past two decades. Over the years I have realized one thing that Bollywood has grown commercially. Producers are no more sufferers as they are aware about the business tactics to recover the money which they are investing in Bollywood cinema. If any of the producers is not aware then they have sufficient money to hire someone who is aware about the tactics.

In modern world, Chankya can be hired and several such Chankya are ready to get hired after completing education from business school. Don’t think that I am student of philosophy or I am into lot of reading. Movie: Dil Dhadkne Do made me realize all this fact. After release it has stayed houseful for seventy two hours which ensured that all money is recovered.

The movie has a funny and short story which Zoya Akhtar tried to stretch for two hours by utilizing the cinematography skill in really beautiful way. It is a sweet family story which you can watch for one time with your family. Movie has great background music, good songs and great actors. You don’t get bored as the director and actors were good enough to keep the audience awake and smiling.

Personally, I was not happy with the ending of the movie. It looked like it was incomplete. May be director had an idea of leaving audience to use their wisdom decide what should be the ending of the movie. Overall, it is a good watch and you can think of spending your money but go with a good mood.

Importance of Winning

Everybody in this world wants to win in their respective fields. There are few who want to win in the multiple fields. Competition is an addiction and the consequences of it leave high impact on the individuals. But you ever thought that your victory also affects the life of people around you. Your father will be proud if you succeed, your brother will look forward to you as an inspiration, and your mother shares the pride with her friends. Only those experiences the feeling of victory who know what is failure and what it takes to bounce back from it.

If you are leader or manager or owner then you should be aware of the fact that victory can increase the confidence of your employees which in turn increases the efficiency. You have to share the victory with people who contributed in one way or the other. Make them feel that their contribution, however small it is, mattered allot. They are the stepping stone for your success. You are incomplete without them. It doesn’t matter that in reality they do or not but it will increase their confidence and then the next time when a challenge comes up then they will work hard just to meet your previous expectation. Not a bad deal, isn’t it!

I was going through few old articles about Siachen Glacier. It has a very fascinating story, about two nations who raced towards the peak in a fight of who will reach up first. Due to tactician and quick intelligence reports India managed to occupy the top. Two countries fighting the war in -50 degree Celsius temperature. It is good to read the fact but it is unimaginably difficult to live up there and fight a war which has no end or may be no end in the near future.

Once, a VIP made a visit to Siachen Glacier accompanied with Indian Army Chief. It was a 7 minutes visit which was leaked out by few media persons. The VIP had very less interaction with the troops and it was a tick mark made by him on his list of visiting places. When he sat down in helicopter to make his way back, he asked the Army Chief, ‘General, don’t you think that it is waste of time, money and resources to occupy barren ice on such huge height?’ May be general did not prefer to answer his question or even the General never gave a thought about it. This story which I don’t know is how much true, made me think that what is the tactical significance of Siachen Glacier.

I made some research through old defence journals and opinions of qualified defence analyst of India as well as Pakistan. Most of them admitted in their articles and on record statement that Siachen has no military or economic importance. But after researching the geography of the disputed region, I came to know that, it is important for both of the nation.

Siachen glacier is a frozen river passing through the valley. It has a snout which gives birth to the river Nubra which passes through the Nubra or Nobra valley and mates with Shyok River. This river enters Pakistan and becomes a water source for them. History has taught us to fight a war soldiers need water and food which is the decisive thing. If the Pakistan gains control over the Siachen then they will be able to command the water source giving them a psychological advantage over India. For India ‘no loss of ground is acceptable’ is the strategy. Practically, they can control the water entering the Pakistan through the Shyok River and also these rivers contribute in a big way for the development and survival of the Ladakhi people living in the Nubra valley.

The geography says it all, why these two nations are ready to fight the war in the circumstances where the life is not possible. Siachen can also open up the route for terrorist to enter India which analyst considers as rare but possible threat. I am not doting of drinking coffee, but this evening I was feeling somnolent and one of my friends advocated having black coffee. Black coffee!!!! I was flabbergasted, why not milk coffee? I got this opportunity to deliver a small talk on Indian Ballistic Missile Program in front of Spartan leaders. Obviously, it is an honor and privilege too but a challenge as I was completely unaware about this topic. The first impression was that it must be about India’s ballistic missile capability such as Agni series.

As soon as I started my research, it was interesting to know that it is not about the ballistic missile but it is India’s indigenous program of anti-ballistic missile system. India got independence in 1947 and soon we faced our new enemy Pakistan in 1948 in the beautiful landscape of Jammu and Kashmir. 1962 was the year of lessons learnt for military might of India when China taught us few lessons. In 1965 and 1971, we showed the world of our military capability and strength of giving birth to a new nation respectively.

Time shows us the right path, and our adversaries has upgraded their weaponries with time to dominate us. In the year 1995, Pakistan procured M-11 surface to surface missiles from China and seeing the threat India procured S-300 SAM missiles from Russia. 1998, both India and Pakistan became nuclear power in south East Asia and in 1999 world witnessed the first war between two nuclear nations.

After Kargil war, India realized that to counter nuclear and ballistic missile threat from other countries, there is need to develop anti-ballistic Missile system and thus Indian Ballistic Missile Program came into picture.

1. 40 public and private companies were involved in the development of the program.

2. Companies such as Larsen & Tourbo also contributed.

3. It is a multi-layered system.

4. It has two tier.

5. The first one is Prithvi Air Defence, which has capability of countering any missile at an altitude of 50 to 80 kms.

6. The second one is Advanced Air Defence which has the capability of taking down any missile flying at a height of 30 kms.

7. The second phase aims to take down ICBMs of having range of five thousand kilometers.

Chankya once said that one should know his enemy and be prepared to counter the threat. India is going on the same lines and yes it is capable enough to overcome any such threat.

Monotony is one hell of a thing which really maddens me allot. You have nothing to do, your fingers are unable to write anything, suffering from writer’s block and thoughts not hitting your mind. You just feel like your imagination has died with the intellect about which you used to brag allot. Now, you can understand the level of the frustration which I was going through. At this moment, your mind bounces lot of option which seems impossible and sometimes it is noxious too. One of the ideas which was generated by my mind was going on bicycle trip and reconnoiter the places around. From past few years, I am overdoing the probe but the level of the gratification which I achieves is beyond anyone’s imagination.

So, one fine morning, I took out my Firefox bicycle and started paddling around to cover approx. sixty kilometers in next three hours. On my mind first thing was the Patalpani waterfall outside Indore. The name itself is so fascinating that anyone will have hunger to know about it. My snooping level was same as yours after reading the name. Patalpani means water in the underground world. The story behind the patalpani is that the water which comes from a river falls down from a mountain and there is a pond in which it gets stagnant. Interestingly, the depth of the pond is unknown to many. There are no proof that anyone even tried to measure the height of this pond. Local people believes that the water goes to the world which is located in the center of the earth.

The waterfall is immensely beautiful and the story of this fall is interesting. Every year, someone dies in this waterfall, few are suicides and rest are accidents. The view point near the waterfall is lover’s point for the love birds who spend their Sunday making the environment romantic with their bonding and chemistry. Though, I was not blessed by lady love and I was exploring around with my other male friend. Mind you, I am very much straight and my female friends knows it well.

There is an old railway tunnel on the mountains, near the waterfall, one should really walk around and see these tunnels. You can see also see wild life and if you are blessed enough, you might see a friendly army of monkeys, who will display a white demonstration of landslides. Trust my words, these monkeys know the guerrilla war tactics.

After exploring around we started paddling towards our next destination which was completely different from this waterfall and the journey is much more interesting.

According to an on ground research, college students, IT professionals and domestic air crew are involved on part time basis. It is a huge network and educated people are getting involved for easy money. Government on one hand claims to control it but in the darkness of night it is running in the posh colonies of metro cities. At an average, these boys and girls earn ten thousand for one day and the agents earn much more than that. Ten thousand rupees per day is equal to three lakhs per month which is a huge income for someone in an age group of 18 to 30 years. It is not a respectable job and these boys and girls hide their identity from the real world so that their dear ones does not know about their dark life.

Still, the government claims that prostitution in our country it is under control which is not true and forced sex still exists. I don’t know how our political leader claims that abolishing prostitution will eliminate rape or those journalists who think they are intellect and making prostitution legal will eliminate rape. I just want to ask those journalists that network of prostitution is running in our country as if it is legal and making it legal on papers will not completely destroy the next generation?

The bottom line is that government should either stop behaving as if they are not aware about ground reality, or if they really know then they should act accordingly. If five hundred odd elected political leader of this country can’t decide how to react on this vulnerable situation and to keep this dark industry or to completely abolish then there is no use of keeping them on the position where they can really make some kind of difference.

‘Dharamshala, heaven on earth’. This was told by my dear one who is from Himachal Pradesh, India. It is heaven which is blessed with beauty. Several pine trees, forests and stream of waters adding up into the ambience of this place. Full moon makes this place more charming and the morning is pleasant because of the dew drop.

It is a city surrounded by Dhauladhar Mountains which has very steep slopes. Dhauladhar Mountains form up an undulating valley which makes this place untouched. Dharamshala was explored lately, and this is the beauty of Himachal Pradesh, several places are still unexplored and they are still sleeping in their raw beauty.

The best time for backpackers is between the months of February to April and after monsoons in September. But the best time is the time when you visit this place with someone you love allot. If you are looking for some adventure then come with your friends in summers.

Tibetan celebrates their new year in the month of February and this festival is known as Losar. If you want to learn their culture and willing to be part of their happiness, then February is the best time. Pahari people are very beautiful from heart and I am sure you will fall in love with someone.

Dharamshala is popular trekking base in Himachal Pradesh. The season starts from month of May and ends in October. Most of the treks are in the valley of Kangra. At times, you come across several remarkable people in your life which opens a new horizon of intellect for you. May be today, I was lucky enough to experience same kind of intellectual journey. I met a guy today, who said he had almost raped a girl, when he was just 17 years old. When he was seventeen years old he got admission in a medical college. He was good in studies and addicted to his fitness regime. He used to jog, out of town in a nearby forest. Tough terrain produces great fighters and he strongly believed in this concept. He was a virgin at that time, and he had a small relationship with a girl, where things were not going the way a good relationship should go. It is said that the desire for sex in teenage is at peak during the age of 17 to 19. Maybe, our doctor was going through the same phase. One morning, he was coming back, after jogging for an hour. The Outgoing Call Saga

What is the furthermost vexing part in life? You are wayfaring and getting jaded, swiftly thought of a girl crosses your mind and you want to speak to her. You take out your phone, with lot of pre-paid balance in it, you dial the number and then you realize you cannot make any outgoing calls. You check your balance, try to send sms and increasing your frustration, you find you can do anything with your phone other than calling that girl you really like.

The same problem I faced when I was traveling and I was unable to make outgoing calls with my iphone 4s apple phone. I was feeling helpless and this is iconic situation of 21^st century. I was able to use whatsapp, 3G internet but unable to make calls. Even not to customer care and in case of emergency I was unable to make call to police as well.

I tried to find solution of this problem on internet and made several Google search only failing to find the solution. I was reading the solutions and one thing I was clear about that it is not fault of network. I had to change something in my iphone 4s setting. After hours of brainstorming, I came up with something and it worked for me. Finally, I was able to call my girl and I thought I should share with all of you so that no other smart soul like me in this world overcome this kind of problem.

On Facebook, we came to know about Cook Vijay. He is a cook in a street side hotel in Dehradhun, and he was also exasperated as none of the girls were happy with his cooking skills.
