Miguel’s Billboard Music Awards fall

Miguel had an unfortunate accident during the 2013 Billboad Music Awards and possibly injured an innocent fan. While performing his hit “Adorn”, the crooner attempted to jump across a stage pit but missed and landed on a woman’s head. The fan was later spotted backstage with the singer holding an ice pack to her arm.

As you can imagine the incident has become a trending topic on Twitter and sparked commentary from viewers shocked at the blooper.

It looks as though Kanye West‘s girlfriend Kim Kardashian let the proverbial cat out of the bag regarding the enigmatic hip-hop star’s upcoming album and it’s title. Kim posted an Instagram photo last night (May 18th) that showed album artwork for ‘Ye’s highly-anticipated project alongside a pair of his custom-designed Air Yeezy sneakers.

“#Yeezus #RedYeezy’s #SNL #Tonight #NewSlaves #YeezySeason #Donda #June18,” her caption for the image read.

It is being reported by several outlets that Kanye’s new album is, in fact, to be called Yeezus. His sixth solo album will be available next month, specifically on June 18th.

As has become his trademark, Kanye appears to be unafraid of courting controversy on this album. The quasi-religious title will surely raise more than a few eyebrows, and he has debuted songs with titles like “Black Skinhead” and “New Slaves” that are musically and lyrically angrier and darker than much of his previous content.

He reportedly has tapped Chief Keef, Daft Punk and Azealia Banks to be among the guest stars on the album, which is the follow-up to 2010s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.

A live stream of the 2013 Billboard Music Awards is available. The ceremony will take place at 8 p.m. EST at Las Vegas’ MGM Gardens and feature performances from Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne and Justin Bieber.

So far Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa and Selena Gomez have been spotted walking the red carpet which has been turned blue for tonight’s festivities.

A hoist of celebs are flocking to Las Vegas’ MGM Gardens for the 2013 Billboard Music Awards. So far spotted on the red carpet has been Selena Gomez, Nicki Minaj [pictured above] as well as Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa.

Tonight’s ceremony will feature performances from Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne and Justin Bieber.

The Tracy Morgan hosted Billboard Awards air tonight May 19, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.

President Obama’s Morehouse College commencement speech

The 44th President of the United States is currently speaking at Morehouse College’s 129th commencement ceremony.

During his speech President Obama touched on the school’s legacy of excellence with graduates that include Martin Luther King, Jr and urged grads to inspire others.

“Use your power for something greater than yourself,” said Obama. “Inspire those who look up to you to expect more of themselves.”

He also jokingly remarked on the stormy weather saying that his wife would be worried about ruining her hairstyle. “Michelle wouldn’t be [sitting] out there,” said Obama.
