Madison Hip Hop fixture DJ Vinnie Toma will also be in the building in a spectacular way, spinning like only the homie is able for the duration of the night.

I’m excited to announce we have begun production on our first video for Today I Found Happy.  Why now you ask??  Great question my friends.  BPB has signed with a label that will be re-releasing the album this August on a much larger scale than we ever could have done on our own.  So now we gotta at least pretend to stop being so fucking lazy (keep your fingers crossed).  First step is making this here video (the above poster should clue ya in on what song it’s for).  The following are a few more steps that you might be interested in:

*Recording for an EP with Blue Sky Black Death starts this week.
*Recording for our 2nd full length album starts as soon as the EP is complete (Production from Blue Sky Black Death, Young Einstein of Ugly Duckling, and a whole lot mo’ from your buddies Uggy and Auggie.
*Fall/Winter worldwide tour dates being scheduled as we speak/type/read.  (email, facebook, or stop by the crib in Brooklyn to let us know what cities/countries we should stop in)

This beat is being posted in honor of Ugly’s return to Brooklyn (coming tomorrow), and the beginning of a fantastic journey into our third album together. I made it around the time we started recording. It’s rough as hell around the edges, but to start rearranging it now seems silly. I’ll also include that this might have been the first beat I ever made as “August” (hence the title), but I can’t find any sources to confirm that. Anyways, I hope you folks enjoy- and a happy weekend to all the creeps.

Heatmakerz laying down a nice one here for one of BPB’s fav MCs of all time AZ.  Labelle’s track “Wild Horses” is also sampled (in a completely different way) on Atmosphere’s “Musical Chairs” off  the album “You Can’t Imagine How Much Fun We’re Having”.

Sampling vocals in this fashion is one of the most difficult tasks for a producer.  Most producers don’t even attempt it.  Hats off to RJ doing it to perfection with this one.  Also listen for the underlying baseline.
