Two slight downsides, the first is the lack of a cooker in the kitchen, a microwave is very limiting, and the water which isn't very palatable. Of course the food is good enough not to have to cook, and bottled water answers the other slight problem.

There is very little doubt that for an affordable Bahamas Vacation, in a place really close to paradise where you can really escape the 21st century, you could do a whole lot worse that have a cheap Bahamas vacation on Cat Island staying on the most beautiful private beach at Sammy T's Beach Resort.

My wife and I had an incredible honeymoon throughout southeast Asia. Here are some great romantic honeymoon getaways- as well as several to avoid- that you and your loved one can enjoy for fifty dollars a day.

Siem Reap, Cambodia. Home to Angkor Wat, the legendary lost cities of the ancient Khmer civilization, this is truly a world class destination that rivals Machu Pichu. The ruins are amazing, and require two to three days to fully explore. In order to save some money, pay for the three day pass ($40) and hire a tuk tuk driver to give you a day tour of the smaller sites on the first day. The going rate for a driver is about $15 per day, but you may be able to haggle them down.

On the second day, rent bicycles and ride to the major attractions of Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom. They are only about 7km away from the city center of Siem Reap, and it's a beautiful ride among shaded groves and along the river.

Siem Reap is a a town with a distinctly European flavor. Make sure to visit the aptly named Bar St (or Pub St. depending on who you ask) between four and six in the afternoon for fifty cents draft beers. You can find great dinners around this area for around five dollars a person, or hit up the street vendors and eat like a champ for $1.50.

Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. OK, it's a big city, but this wonderful town has a lot to offer and explore. At nighttime, head down towards the Saigon River, where the streets are lit up with an amazing of array of colours, sights and smells. I recommend starting your day with the national dish, pho. This is a steaming bowl of noodles, herbs and beef (vegetarian is also possible) that the two of you can enjoy for less than a dollar. Ho Chi Minh is a great place to live it up, so treat yourselves to a gourmet Vietnamese dinner in District 1 for less than ten dollars.

Ko Phi Phi, Thailand. Unfortunately, this naturally gorgeous island in Southern Thailand is yet another victim of Thailand's over development. However, if you can handle the crowds, the beaches here will surpass any that even Hawaii has to offer. The name of budget accommodation is a beach bungalow. The amenities are sparse- a bathroom is considered "upscale"- and the price in proportion to how close you are to the water. In my opinion, the extra five dollars a night is well worth it.

Ko Chang, Thailand. An alternative to Ko Phi Phi, and a good choice if you're headed towards Cambodia. Ko Chang didn't have roads ten years ago, and has undergone an amazing amount of development since then. You can actually watch small shanty bars constructed overnight. If you sit tight here and enjoy the small but gorgeous beach, you can live very comfortably for $30 per day for the two of you. I highly recommend staying at the Paradise Cottages, as their lounge area overlooks the water, and provides great views of the local fisherman at sunset. Sit in a hammock, sip a pineapple shake for a dollar, and watch your problems melt away...

It is not good to see an area with wonderful winter snow or colorful fall leaves if you are planning to visit in the spring. So try to find a website that will give you a good idea of what the entire environment is like.

3. Purchase a local State Map

If you can find somewhere that sells a detailed WV state map. This map will include rural roads as well as all the national and state parks. This gives you a very comprehensive guide to the area and can really help you if you are lost. In addition to a state map I do highly recommend the purchase and use of a GPS system. This can save you time and gas money when searching for your favorite state park which often is very remote.

Where you can get the best log cabin package for the money

This guide is by no means a price guide to log cabins but we do want to help you understand where the best deals are and how you can get a great price and have the amenities you need.

Often, folks think that if you are staying in a log cabin that it has to be primitive with no running water, no heating or air conditioning and no TV or telephone. While this can be true for certain cabins it is not true for all cabins.

The West Virginia park system offers vacation cabins that are primitive and cabins that have amenities. Of course the cabins which have the most conveniences of home will cost more but in order to weigh out the cost of your cabin you must first decide how much you want to "rough it"!

In my humble opinion I believe the privately owned log cabins are much nicer and much more comfortable as modern cabins than the state operated and owned cabins. Private Jacuzzi's and hot tubs make a log cabin vacation rental very nice. When someone else has designed the cabin layout, not just for commercial purposes but added a touch of coziness and home; you tend to enjoy the stay much more than you would if it is just a commercial replica of every other cabin throughout the state.

You will find that the state owned and operated cabins will be a little less expensive than the privately owned cabins. Regardless of primitive or modern the cost will be a little less with the state cabins. There is however, steep competition between vacation cabin rental companies and other tourist lodging providers. Most privately owned cabin rental companies will allow you to make reservations online and provide detailed photographs of the outside and inside of the cabins. If the cabins are very nice outside and inside they will be proud and will display the images on their site. Usually, if the pictures do not show very much of the cabin or accompanying yard and surroundings then they are trying to hide something.

The prices for the cabins are almost always posted online and vary from season to season, as I mentioned previously. However, in a slow season a renter may tend to be negotiable with the renters fee. So it does not hurt to call the renter up and haggle a little on the price. You may find that you can save what it will cost you in gas for your trip.

In conclusion make certain that you research and plan your trip as far in advance as possible. This will allow you to make the most of your precious vacation time. A lot of us only get 2 or 3 weeks of vacation time each year and how many of us actually take vacation? I hope you enjoy your trip to West Virginia.
