Cristiano Ronaldo scored another hat trick  last night in Real Madrid’s stomp of Sevilla.  This is Cristiano’s 13th hat trick for Madrid since joining the team.

Cristiano’s skill and speed was very evident in last night’s game and should leave no doubt as to whom is the best all round player in the game today.

Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Xavi have been shortlisted for the 2011 Fifa Ballon d’Or.  The annoucement came earlier today from Fifa and France Football.

Jose Mourinho and Alex Ferguson are the two managers that have been shortlisted in their respective categories.

Winners will be announced in January of 2012.

Cristiano Ronaldo has rejoined his teammates on the training field and will be ready for this weekend’s game versus Gijon, according to Real Madrid’s official website.

After suffering a sprained ankle and contusion on his left ankle last Saturday versus City rivals Atletico Madrid, Cristiano was kept out of  Tuesday’s training session while he underwent physiotherapy to the affected ankle.

Reports coming out of the Real Madrid camp have Cristiano Ronaldo missing Today’s training session with the team due to an ankle injury that was suffered during Real Madrid’s last game versus Atletico.

Cristiano is listed as having a Grade I sprain and contusion on his left ankle.

Saturday’s game versus Atletico Madrid was a rough one that saw many unnecessary lunges from various Atletico players and could have easily resulted in many more injuries than the one to Cristiano.   Ronaldo’s injury came as a result of a lunge from  Luis Perea which left Cristiano wincing in pain.  He continued on and finished the game, but it was obvious that something was going on by the continuous grimace on Cristiano’s face.

Cristiano Ronaldo Scored two goals last night versus Atletico Madrid.  Both goals came from penalty shots.

Real Madrid beat Atletico Madrid 4-1 in a game that was rough and filled with fouls, red cards and yellow cards.  All cards were issued to Atletico Madrid with the exception of one yellow card that was issued to Real’s Xabi Alonso.
