I have been going crazy for natural products that can help my skin because I have been breaking out so much lately (can’t blame anyone but myself…I’ve been eating stuff I know breaks me out). I discovered Rose Hip Seed Oil! It’s a plant that grows in South America and it is supposed to be muy bueno for your skin. Here are some of the benefits of Rose Hip Seed Oil for the skin.

1. It's high in vitamin C antioxidants so it helps stimulate collagen production

Turmeric facial mask

Turmeric Skin Benefits

Turmeric is high in antioxidants that slow down cell damage.

It’s widely used as a skin exfoliant and improves skin’s texture.

It helps with inflammatory skin conditions, such as acne, dry skin, psoriasis and eczema.

It helps reduce pigmentation and even out the skin tone.

It is also said to diminish wrinkles

Make your own turmeric face mask

1. Mix flour, turmeric, honey and milk to make a paste

Two tablespoons of flour. You can use regular flour, rice flour or ground oats if your

skin is dry.

One teaspoon turmeric

Three tablespoons of milk. You can also use yogurt to fight acne.

A few drops of honey

2. Apply a thin layer to your face and let it dry for 15 minutes

3. Rinse off with warm water...scrubbing gently to remove (I suggest wearing gloves so you do not stain your hands and finger nails).

4. Apply your usual facial moisturizer

P.S Make sure you have some type of oil handy (like almond, or coconut)so if your face gets a little stained you can put the oil on your face and wipe with a wet towel to removed the excess turmeric.

Best soap ever

I am into all natural everything from what I eat to what I put on my body. I love the brand “One with Nature” and their Dead Sea mineral soaps. They have about ten different fragrances/types that are all great and smell amazing. Every time I get a new soap I try a different one...this time I picked up lemon sage (It smells amazing). I purchased this brand from Fairway for $3.69 a bar….trust me it’s so worth it ...and it leaves your skin feeling clean, nourished, soft, and smelling great!

Raw vegan for a week

I’m on the quest to get healthier and lose about 20 pounds before summer is here. In February I was eating horribly…I mean pizza, Chinese food, and crap like that. I can’t believe I gained almost 10 pounds in one month!

The part that sucks the most is that my body is very sensitive to any junk food (I was meant to eat healthy) that it makes me break out. I’m suffering for my eating habits now with the break outs on my face but it’s beginning to clear up slowly. For the last month I cut out juice completely, nothing but water and green tea.

I finally went back to the gym after not going for several months, but I’m now going on a regular basis. This week two friends and I are eating like raw vegans in order to cleanse our bodies of toxins and to lose weight. I already lost 2 pounds in 3 days and I’m happy about that, so I might keep it up after the week is over.

I want to cut out most dairy completely because it makes me break out anyway. I also want to add more fruits and veggies with some organic meats into my diet. In the last month I have lost 7 pounds all together, so I am on my way to my dream body! I’ll keep you guys updated on my progress!

My bridesmaid dress and high heels for my friends wedding have finally arrived! I'm all prepared for her sunny July wedding....but there's just one thing I need to do. I bought my dress one size smaller on purpose so I would be forced to lose weight...so I'm on a 4 month weight lose journey! Wahoo...this is going to be interesting...(sarcasm).

Ology shampoo and conditioner

I love the Ology Moisturizing Shampoo and Volumizing Conditioner! I originally heard about them from one of the girls I watch on YouTube, and I wanted to try them for myself. They are sold at Walgreens for about $6 a piece and they contain no harsh chemicals like sulfate, mineral oil, paraben’s, and silicon’s. Since my hair is naturally curly I have to watch out for chemicals like those that can be very drying.

When I washed my hair using these products it felt so great afterward and left my hair smelling amazing too! The shampoo smells like fruit roll ups and the conditioner smells like peppermint, I want to smell my head right now lol! They are small in size but I feel they will last for a while, and they are really cheap to keep repurchasing. I so recommend everyone to go out and get them from Walgreens…What do you have to lose!?

D.I.Y: Almond and milk facial mask

This almond and milk facial mask is great for your face! It is so simply to make and it helps lighten the skin getting rid of dark spots and discoloration. It also leaves your skin feeling renewed and super soft. Obviously if you’re allergic to almonds or any other nut I would not use this facial mask, I don’t want you to puff up now!

All you need to make this mask is almond flour (grounded almonds), organic milk, and an extra is almond oil. Mix all the ingredients together to the consistancy you like and apply it to your face for 10 minutes. It might start to tingle a little, but if it starts to burn wash it off as soon as possible. I hope it works for you and you'll see results in a few weeks or less! Enjoy your almond and milk mask!

I’m so into chain belts now…I want to get a lot more! I got this chain belt from Dots. On the large circles it has rhinestones and they make it so pretty and sparkly (you can’t really see them in this picture). You can wear a chain belt with pants, jeans, skirts, and even dresses; they are so versatile. I bought this one for about $6, so if you want one check out any Dots store or their website.

L.A. Colors liquid makeup foundation makes a great concealer! I got this one from Family Dollar and it was only $2...I know right…that’s a crazy deal! If you want to try it out for yourself and your skin tone is similar to mine, just pick up the color in “Cocoa”. They also have lighter and darker shades for most skin tones…so I hope you find your color and it looks great on you!

Snow

So...my backyard where I do my “Look of the days” is filled with 12 feet of snow! Wahoo!? -_- …I don’t know where I'm going to do them while I'm waiting for the snow to melt (which seems like a while from now). I might try to go down there and still do them anyway but it will be difficult. We shall see...I don't want to sink down into the snow...you might never see me again...that wouldn't be cool lol.

Hair color

I re-did my kinky twist but this time around I wanted to add a little color. I added a light brown/blonde color hair and I love how it looks, just adds a little flavor (lol). The brown/blonde is on the bottom half of my hair and a little on top to make it look like high lights. I love it...what do you guys think!? Tell me below....

Epilator

I love this little gadget! But I have a love/hate relationship with my Epilator. For those of you who don’t know what an Epilator is, it is a hair remover that pulls the hair from the root. I know you’re thinking “Omg! That must be so painful!” and it is!

I’m not going to lie it hurts A LOT...the first time I teared up a little, but after each use it gets a little easier to handle. I only use it under my arms to remove hair because it removes any left over stubble, and leaves them feeling baby soft.

This Panasonic Epilator has two settings...medium and fast, and comes with a charger. You don't have to worry about buying batteries when the power gets low. It was about $50 at Target, but they have cheaper and more expensive ones that are sold online.

This part of the Epilator rotates very fast and pulls out the hair quickly so it’s only a moment of pain. When you first use it get your mind prepared because the pain of the first use is no joke.

I'm not trying to scare you...It actually might not even feel that painful to you! Please...please...please use it wet…you can add shaving cream or body soap and wet it and your under arms. When you use it wet it does not hurt as much as using it dry...you'll thank me!!
