Moving to a new apartment soon = MUST clear my wardrobe! Looks like I really needed a good friend's help to take such a decision, so this sunday my lovely Cécile and I will be at the Gran Balon, the biggest and oldest vintage fair in Turin, to sell our own clothes and accessories. There will be plenty of vintage wares in pretty much all sizes, Ferragamo Vara flats, cat eye sunglasses, Esther Williams bathing suites, leather purses, 1920s night gowns and lots of beautiful frocks and shoes from retro inspired designers like Orla Kiely, Lazzari, TBA, Miu Miu, Chie Mihara, Swedish Hasbeens, Dear Creatures, Max&co, Sessun, ModCloth and yes, even a few Rosaspina Handmade special pieces. Come and have a chat with us!

Trasloco all'orizzonte = Rosaspina mettiti una mano sul cuore (con l'altra tappati gli occhi) e svuota sti poveri armadi. Mi ci voleva decisamente l'aiuto di un'amica per fare un passo del genere e così, insieme alla mia Cécile, questa domenica saremo al Gran Balon, il mercato vintage più grande ed antico di Torino, per vendere i nostri abiti ed accessori. Ci saranno capi vintage di tutte le taglie, scarpette Ferragamo, occhiali da sole anni '60, costumi da bagno di Esther Williams, borsette da sera, sottovesti di seta anni '20 e tanti splendidi vestiti e calzature di designer di ispirazione retrò, come Orla Kiely, Lazzari, TBA, Miu Miu, Chie Mihara, Swedish Hasbeens, Dear Creatures, Max&co, Sessun, ModCloth e sì, anche qualche capo speciale Rosaspina Handmade. Happy summer everyone! I've been looking forward to writing this post for such a long time and today I'm very excited to finally share with you my new Rosaspina Vintage handmade collection. The past days have been gorgeously sunny and warm here in Italy, so it was pretty much the perfect excuse to pack my freshly sewn frocks and head towards the riviera. This season was inspired by a place where I used to spend my summers when I was little, a beautiful pastel hued town called Laigueglia, on the west coast of Liguria. While sketching, I just couldn't stop thinking of its pink houses, the striped wooden beach huts, the emerald water and the golden sand, and the color palette appeared before my eyes all by itself.

As always, all garments have been handmade with love using exclusively vintage fabrics from my grandmother's stash, and I know how sweet it is to twirl in your pretty number thinking that it's either part of a very small run or a super special one of a kind.

I was blown away by all the love you've shown with the past collections, and I hope you will enjoy this one as much. You can find all these summery frocks and more in the shop, so hop on over and do let me know which style is your favorite!

Buona estate a tutti! Non potete immaginare quanto abbia atteso questo momento e oggi sono felicissima di presentarvi la nuova collezione Rosaspina Vintage handmade. Le scorse settimane sono state così calde e soleggiate che ho pensato fosse l'occasione perfetta per mettere in valigia i miei vestitini freschi di macchina da cucire e fuggire al mare. L'ispirazione per questa collezione è nata da un luogo a me molto caro in cui ho trascorso gran parte delle mie estati da piccola, Laigueglia: un incantevole borgo color pastello nella riviera Ligure. Mentre disegnavo gli abiti, continuavo a pensare con nostalgia alle adorate casette rosa, le cabine di legno dipinte a righe, l'acqua color smeraldo e la sabbia dorata, e la palette di colori mi è apparsa davanti agli occhi come se fosse stata da sempre sulla mia tavolozza. Come da tradizione, ogni capo è stato confezionato a mano con cura utilizzando esclusivamente tessuti vintage dell'archivio della nonna, così quando indosserete il vostro vestitino, sarà ancora più bello pensare che faccia parte di una tiratura limitatissima, oppure che si tratti di un pezzo unico molto, molto speciale.

Spero che questa collezione vi piaccia quanto le precedenti, non finirò mai di ringraziarvi per tutto l'affetto che avete mostrato nelle ultime stagioni. Potete trovare questi abiti e molto altro nello shop online, date un'occhiata e fatemi sapere quali sono i vostri preferiti!

My Turin guide on Betty Magazine

It's always a happy moment when I come back home and I find a copy of Betty Magazine sitting pretty in my mail box, just waiting to be opened and browsed through. This time I was even more looking forward to it, as the current issue includes my own guide to Turin! It was such a honor for me to show off my beautiful town in one of my all time favorite magazines and I confess that it was a bit hard to narrow my most loved places down to just a few quick tips.
