I’m so glad that Ken is on his way to recovery. You are both in my thoughts. It always seemed like he was very supportive of you and this business and I liked sensing that. I look forward to noticing his presence in classes and chats when he is feeling up to it again. And thanks for the wake up call… a good reminder to keep living a healthy lifestyle. I’m sure it is making a difference in Ken’s recovery. Bless you and him.

I had no idea what was going on, but I am so happy for you both that you are overcoming this all. It takes a long time to heal (for both of you) and I wish you both from my heart the persistence to keep on going.
Thank you for sharing your story, and hang in there Renee and Kent! :)

I know that the road to recovery is a long one but it sounds like Kent has the right attitude to succeed. My sister suffered a stroke at the age of 39 about 15 years ago. She was not expected to live but she wasn’t about to let that happen. She’s here and doing well 15 years later. She needs to walk in a brace and has no use of her left arm yet she leads a full life. Take it one day at a time. Hoping for the best for both of you.

Here’s an awesome quote I love:
Elder Orson F. Whitney, who also served as a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles: “No pain that we suffer, no trial that we experience is wasted. It ministers to our education, to the development of such qualities as patience, faith, fortitude and humility. All that we suffer and all that we endure, especially when we endure patiently, builds up our characters, purifies our hearts, expands our souls, and makes us more tender and charitable, more worthy to be called the children of God … and it is through sorrow and suffering, toil and tribulation, that we gain the education that we come here to acquire” (quoted in Spencer W. Kimball, Faith Precedes the Miracle [1972], 98).

I don’t know you but I can tell you and Kent are good people.

Medical science can do great things today; you have family to comfort and help you; I will remember you all in my prayers and will ask Jesus to give you, Kent and your family comfort and to give you the strength to endure what comes your way.

Don’t worry about work, we’ll all be here when your lives get back to normal. I wish Kent a return to full health, I’m sure his health consciousness will be a big plus for him in his recovery. Bye, Kathy
