Maresh was born with an abnormal valve that went undiscovered until a routine physical exam the university requires of all incoming athletes discovered a heart murmur requiring further tests.

Commentary: Head coach Tim Brewster said Tuesday that Howell was let go for both academic and team violations.  It's a shame, because the 5-foot-8 speedster out of Jacksonville, Fla., averaged 23.1 yards on kick returns last season and was sure to improve on that average in the coming years....</description>
