Supervise the maintenance mechanics.
Responsible for the development and execution of a Preventive Maintenance Program.
Responsible for ensuring the correct chemicals are introduced into boilers, cooling towers, and closed water systems.
Operate and maintain mechanical equipment in the physical plant, including heating, ventilating, and air conditioning.
Responsible for ensuring that an appropriate inventory of tools and supplies is kept on hand to accomplish routine tasks.
Make periodic inspections of plant facilities and equipment for needed maintenance, repair and replacement.
Perform operations, maintenance, and repair of building systems and equipment as well as facility maintenance and repairs.
Train, instruct, and advise other Buildings and Grounds personnel in methods and procedures; assign and supervise work of support personnel.
Perform designated personnel functions for the Department, including promotion recommendations and disciplinary measures.
Provide assistance/support during events held at the College.
Provide assistance in the evacuation of personnel during emergency conditions.
Responsible for the department's Safety Program.
Ensure the campus well and sewer systems are operated and maintained in accordance with governing laws and regulations.
Act as the asbestos manager for the College.
Act as Director of Buildings and Grounds in the Director's absence.

				</feedburner:origLink></item><item><title>Director of Instructional Technology</title><description>Responsible for coordinating with and reporting to external agencies that impact instructional technology. Such agencies include the Illinois OnLine Network (ION), Illinois Community College Online (ICCB), the Illinois Virtual Campus (IVC), and the local high schools.
Responsible for supervising personnel supplying College-wide computer support including hardware and software help desk support.
Responsible for the Instructional Technology Department and the Teaching/Learning Center and its staff including staff training and support and integration of technology into the instructional process.
Responsible for traditional AV equipment, enhanced classrooms and compressed video equipment. This also includes support of high school compressed video through training high school technical support staff and faculty.
Responsible for making proposals to the Dean of Information Services regarding initiatives to enhance the instructional technologies available at the College. Integral duties include the definition and marketing of the use of technologies across the curriculum to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of learning.
Provide leadership and assistance in all areas of instructional technology (academic computing, multimedia, distance learning technology, and telecommunications).
Responsible for the Testing Center including staff and work-study students, securing testing material including, but not limited to GED, Compass, and others as needed.
Responsible for the administration of the current course management system including creating and removing classes and students, troubleshooting issues and coordinating with off-campus technical support.
Develop, in cooperation with the Dean, annual goals and objectives.
Prepare and submit to the Dean an annual report summarizing accomplishments of the previous year.
Serve as a member of the administrative team, including service on the Administrative Council and cooperate with all members of the administration in addressing issues that relate to both Instructional Technology and the overall mission of the College.
Submit and administer the budget for the Instructional Technology Department.

Facilitate the collection and analysis of institutional data, serve as a campus data steward to support effective decision-making and policy recommendations.
Assist in the development or selection of, administration, and analysis of appropriate measurement tools (i.e. employer surveys, CAAP, Compass, etc.). Make survey results available as appropriate.
Coordinate with the Assessment Committee on matters of organizing assessment and other sources of data into useful reports.
Coordinate the College’s program review and annual mini-review processes in accordance with ICCB requirements.
Coordinate institutional strategic and operational planning as a system of continuous improvement and make plans available on the SVCC website. Assure that all College departments, functions, and activities participate.
Chair the Organizational Planning and Improvement Committee (OPIC) with the President.
Prepare the institution’s annual report in cooperation with other administrators and departments.
Coordinate, author and submit major institutional reports to state, federal and accrediting agencies and make appropriate reports available on the SVCC website.
Serve as the College accreditation liaison officer for HLC accreditation and ICCB recognition.
Coordinate the College’s committee system and post meeting minutes on the SVCC website.
Represent the College in local and state organizations and meetings, and maintain contacts with outside agencies as appropriate.
Maintain professional contact through participation in necessary seminars and professional meetings.
Serve as a member of the administrative team, including service on the President’s Council and cooperate with all members of the administration in addressing research and planning issues and the overall mission of the College.
Prepare an annual budget request, manage and maintain the institutional research and planning budget.
Develop in cooperation with the President annual goals and objectives.
