Thanks to specially developed software, which allows three participants, like conductors manage the color of lighting and the channels playing music. So, the colors chosen by each participant, mix in a unique color, and change music channels, like musicians in an ensemble.

Art Lebedev Studio has designed a new traffic light for Istanbul. Even the shape of traffic light looks like an exclamation mark it is still instantly recognizable and so it is giving bigger meaning to whole device. Istanbul has tens of thousands traffic lights today and by replacing classical technology with PHOLED used in the new product they can drastically reduce usage of electricity. Vase made out of technical glass in variety different surface treatments is work of Czech designer Jan Padrnos. Three “U” shaped glass tubes connected together forms interesting unusual vase which is inspired by improvised water level tool.

Designers of mmcité brand, Radek Hegmon a David Karásek showed their skills in designing street furniture for cities around the globe. With motto „we make cities beautiful“ they created bench which inspire many lovers of intelligent details. They have a showroom in Prague in Pobřežní 66, Praha 8 Karlín, especially this bench can be seen also in newly opened space czechdesign.cz in Vojtěšská 3, Prague 1, or you can visit their headquarters – centre of city furniture mmcité, Bílovice 519, Bílovice u Uherského Hradiště.

Конкурс проводится каждые два года и по традиции стартует в Лондоне в рамках международной
выставки 100% Design при поддержке BСD (Центр дизайна в Барселоне). Jump the Gap даёт
возможность профессионалам и студентам в области архитектуры и дизайна в возрасте до 35
лет представить свои инновационные решения, связанные с пространством ванных комнат. Эта
инициатива стала хорошей платформой для молодых талантов в области дизайна и исследований
и в данный момент проводится уже в четвертый раз.

Приз в сумме 5000 евро будет присужден проекту-победителю, о котором официально объявят в
сентябре 2011 года на выставке 100% Design.
