On Monday, a judge sentenced him to 32 years in prison.  As of now, none of the persons who had sex with the “Gangsta of Love” have been infected with HIV or AIDS.

Ohio law requires persons with HIV to inform any sexual partners that they have the virus.

Giordano has been held during the investigation of the disappearance and presumed death of Robyn Gardner.  Gardner disappeared on August 2, 2011 while vacationing with Giordano on the island of Aruba.  Giordano initially aided the Aruba authorities in the search for Gardner and claimed that she was lost at sea while they were snorkeling.  On August 5, 2011, Giordano attempted to leave the country on a commercial flight and was detained by the authorities in Aruba.  He has remained in jail since then.

Giordano and Gardner met on an adult matchmaking site called Adult Friend Finder which claims to be, “The World’s Largest Sex & Swinger Personals Community.”

Prosecutors in Aruba have indicated that they will appeal the order to release Giordano.

Jerry Sandusky, a former Penn State defensive coordinator, has been criminally charged with molesting 8 children over a period from 1994 though 2009.  It is alleged that Paterno knew of at least one of the molestations and merely turned the information over to his superiors at Penn State.  Paterno, however, never contacted authorities or notified the child’s family.

Paterno has announced his retirement which he says will be effective after this season ends.  It is still very possible that the Penn State Board of Trustees will not accept his retirement and dismiss Paterno as early as today.  To be continued…

Lohan surrendered to jail at 8:48pm on Sunday, November 6th.

By 1:30am on Monday, November 7th, she was back on the street due to jail overcrowding.

4 1/2 hours satisfied her 30 day requirement.

In trial, the defense argued that Jackson administered the drug to himself thereby causing his own death.

Dr. Murray faces up to four years in prison at his sentencing.  The sentencing is set for Tuesday, November 29, 2011.

The ruling by the High Court could send Assange back to Sweden to face questioning and trial over the rape of one woman and the molestation of another.  Assange’s lawyers have indicated that they intend to appeal to Britian’s Supreme Court.  An appeal will be allowed only if the appeals court’s ruling involved an issue of “real legal significance.”  If not, Assange could be extradited within 10 days.

Assange has continually denied the allegations.  He has said the the sexual encounters were consensual and has insisted that the false sexual charges have been politically motivated by one of the many enemies of WikiLeaks, his secret spilling organization.  WikiLeaks published over 250,000 of the United States’ secret diplomatic cables last year.

It all started back in March of 2010 when Robert Gray Powell, an Apple engineer, was celebrating his 27th birthday at Gourmet Haus Staudt, a German beer garden in Redwood City, California.  The beer garden was located approximately 30 minutes away from Apple’s headquarters in Cupertino, California.  Powell apparently had an iPhone 4 prototype in his possession for testing and accidentally left it at the beer garden.

Brian Hogan, (pictured) found the iPhone 4 prototype at the beer garden and took it home.  He then contacted his friend, Sage Wallower who helped Hogan try to sell the phone to different tech blog sites.  Both were formally charged with misdemeanor theft in August of 2011.

Today both Hogan and Wallower plead no contest to theft of lost property and each were sentenced to one year of probation, 40 hours of community service and $250 in restitution to Apple.  The district attorney had asked for jail time for the pair.  The presiding  judge opted for a lesser punishment in part because Wallower had served in the United States Navy and Hogan was taking classes at San Jose State.  Both defendants did not have any prior criminal records.

Steve Jobs, co-founder of Apple Computer, died today after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.  He will be missed by many.

Knox and Sollecito were led from the courtroom back to the jail to get their belongings and to be processed and released.  Reports say that she will return to the United States immediately… possibly by private jet.
