John Leslie scores the fastest ever international try in 1999

Wales face Scotland on Sunday so today we look back on a previous meeting between the two, going all the way back to 1999 and the last ever Five Nations tournament. On that day Scotland got off to a start that they could only have dreamed of.

Scotland's Kiwi player John Leslie scored within 10 seconds of kick-off at Murrayfield, the fastest ever try scored from kickoff. Leslie and his brother Martin both qualified to play for them thanks to a Scottish grandfather, and made their debuts just a year before he scored this historic try.

"You can't get a better start than that," said Jim Telfer, head coach at the time.

"It's so important in international rugby, especially if things haven't been going so well, to get ahead of the game. Wales were dangerous early on but very predictable towards the end," he added, after Scotland won the game 33-20 following a resilient comeback from the Welsh.

Leslie gave them the ideal start as he competed well for the ball from the kickoff and actually ended up snatching it right from the grasp of another New Zealander, Shane Howarth.

"It was just one of those things where the ball fell into my lap," Leslie said.

Scotland won the Championship that year, thanks in part to a memorable late try against England, scored by now legendary Wales and British & Irish Lions center, Scott Gibbs.

According to some, Leslie's feat is matched only by England's Bart Price, who scored against Wales in 1923. It's difficult to know how accurate the timing was back then, so it's safe to say that Leslie's record is safe, and most likely won't be beaten anytime soon.

England head to Rome this weekend to face a pumped up Italian side that still have a lot to prove in this Six Nations. In today's O2 Inside Line we catch up with some of the England players ahead of the game.

While Italy's loss to France last weekend looked fairly convincing on the scoreboard, it wasn't quite that way as the side now coached under Jacques Brunel showed plenty of promise.

It's a new regime, as with France, but Italy still have some familiar old faces that can give any side in the world a headache on their day. They've also recalled Marco Bortolami and Gonzalo Canale, adding to the experience in an already formiddable forward pack.

England on the other hand have left things exactly the same, with coach Stuart Lancaster naming an unchanged squad from the side that beat Scotland to win the Calcutta Cup last weekend.

"We have decided to leave the starting team the same to allow them more time to gel together and we are expecting our bench to come on and make an impact as they did last week," Lancaster said.

"Italy will be a very difficult challenge with nearly 700 caps in their starting line-up and it promises to be an outstanding occasion at the sold-out Stadio Olimpico."

On this week's O2 Inside Line Austin and Abi chat to Dylan Hartley and Phil Dowson, some of the players have a snowball fight, and Ben Youngs explains the difference between backs and forwards.

The Six Nations wasn't the only big thing taking place around the rugby world this past weekend as the Cape Town Tens Rugby Festival produced a fantastic once in a lifetime moment for one lucky individual.

Doug Mallett, son of former Springbok coach Nick, got the opportunity to kick for poles from the ten meter line after his name was drawn as part of a promotion for storage company, Stor-Age.

The competition was run throughout the weekend and Mallett junior was part of a handful of hopefuls who were randomly picked to take part in the contest. Another knockout round followed and then he and two other finalists took to the field during halftime of the main final.

They had one shot at it and as luck would have it, Mallett's kick hit the right spot, winning him a brand new Golf GTI valued at R365 000 (£30k).

The video has a viral look to it, but it's one hundred percent genuine, and Doug's reaction said it all.

"I cant put it into words. It's completely ridiculous," said Mallet, who plays rugby for the Ikeys Tigers. "It's stupidly lucky I mean.. I'll never hit that in one hundred thousand times ever again!"

To which the MC sharply replied, "As anyone who's seen you kick under pressure will know..."

Super Rugby kicks into gear again soon as the focus shifts down south, with rugby fans spoilt for choice over the next few months. Here's a look at one of Super Rugby's greatest ever players, in one of his best ever years.Â

This video was posted earlier today on the official Blues website and while it's got some questionable music and no original commentary unfortunately, it's still worth having a look at as it shows some of Spencer's most memorable moments in that famous blue jumper.

In 2003 the Auckland Blues won the Super 12 title, and their team was littered with talent, particularly in the backs. Joe Rokocoko had one of his best ever years, and as if that wasn't enough to deal with for opposition defenders, they also had a guy named Rupeni Caucau to contend with.

Doug Howlett, Rico Gear, and Mils Muliaina were also floating about, not to mention Spencer, who controlled the ship beautifully from ten and thanks to his formiddable forward pack, had a platform from which to launch their lethal back division.

Spencer ran circles around the opposition and had one of his best ever seasons, producing moments of magic that will never be forgotten by those who were privileged enough to watch him at play. Those who have followed his career will fondly remember him as one of the greatest entertainers the game has seen.

Nowadays King Carlos is giving back, and doing a great job, as backline coach at the Lions in Johannesburg. Enjoy the video, and check out the related posts for more Spencer magic.

Bradley Davies & Stephen Ferris controversial tackles discussed

Wales lock Bradley Davies and Ireland flanker Stephen Ferris have been cited following their yellow cards in the classic match between the two sides on Saturday. Here's another look at the incidents, as well as an interesting post-match discussion.

Davies and Ferris will face a discplinary hearing in London tomorrow, with Davies most likely to face further punishment, and Ferris possibly just going along as part of the process.

In the case of Welsh lock Davies, his tip-tackle, or spear as some are calling it, was by all accounts malicious, and deserving of a straight red card. Wales coach Warren Gatland concurred, and you can view a snippet from his post match interview in the video below.

Both Davies and Ferris could face suspensions as the IRB aim to stamp out these type of lifting tackles, however Ireland team manager Michael Kearney believes his man is innocent. He says that Ferris has played for his country 31 times and never received a yellow card, and for Ulster has never been on the wrong side of the law.

After the game BBC's pundits had an interesting discussion about both incidents, and brought up a few talking points that could make for good debate:

Sam Warburton tackle - There's an obvious comparison between the Davies tackle and the Warburton sending off in the RWC. Keith Wood says there was maliciousness in Davies' tip-tackle, not Warburton's, but later says that intent shouldn't come into the equation.

Warren Gatland - it was good to see a coach take responsibility for one of his player's actions, rather than just brush it under the carpet and defend him, as we've seen far too often in the past.

Rugby League - Jonathan Davies makes the point that in Rugby League, where the tackle laws are far more lenient, there aren't frequent issues. He also says rugby union is becoming soft.

Different laws - Davies also brings up the point that laws should be different at Club/Test level as schoolboys don't have the explosive power that full time professionals do.

Respect the whistle - It's easy to sit back and rip into the officials. Keith Wood makes the point that we need to remember the values taught as youngters though, and once a decision is made, we should respect it.

In this area of the game particularly, the instructions are coming from above and most of the time the referee's are simply following orders. Unfortunately Dave Pearson's decription of the tip-tackle, and the lenient showing of a yellow card by Wayne Barnes, has confused the issue completely.

Both incidents and the discussion are included below. As always, it's great to hear your feedback on these topics, so if you're not <a title="Register for free now.
Sonny Bill Williams has hit the headlines again following an altercation with his next boxing opponent, Clarence Tillman III. The scuffle broke out at their weigh-in ahead of Wednesday night's clash for the vacant New Zealand Heavyweight title.

Williams and Tillman faced off in Hamilton ahead of the fight that came about after Williams' planned opponent, Richard Tutaki, was scratched from the fight following an arrest on various charges.

The All Black center is looking to gain some respect following a string of questionable fights. This will be his fifth as a professional boxer, with his last fight being against 43 year old Alipate Liava'a.

Williams and Tillman came to blows after some verbal sparring sparked a shove, then quick right from the big American. Williams' brother John tackled him off to the side, squashing trainer Anthony Mundine in the process, as Liam Messam watched on.Â

"It’s pretty below the belt, but that’s all good," said Williams.

"He’s the one talking it up at the press conference. We should leave it all in the ring tomorrow, but obviously there is other things on his mind and he wants to bring the fight right now. If he’d wanted to, we could have got it on right now. Just adds a bit more spice to it, doesn’t it?

"I didn’t feel nothing man," Williams insisted, despite footage showing that the Tillman shot landed.

Was this a real altercation, or just another publicity stunt to hype up a fight?

Update: Watch what happened here

Leigh Halfpenny was the man of the hour for Wales on the weekend, slotting a last minute penalty to snatch a thrilling 23-21 win over Ireland in a dramatic Six Nations match in Dublin on Sunday.

In what was a passionate encounter, tempers were clearly at the fore for each side as the home team looked to avenge their defeat to the Welsh in the world cup last year.

Yet Wales played with an energy that Ireland failed to match, and two tries by centre Jonathon Davies and one from George North provided the platform for this impressive result.

Both sides exchanged scores in the first half, but Wales were made to rue fly-half Rhy Priestland’s wayward goal kicking as he missed several attempts at the sticks, allowing the Irish to go in at half time 10-3 up, courtesy of a try from hooker Rory Best and 5 points from Johnny Sexton.

Wales returned after the interval without their talismanic captain Sam Warburton - who picked up a dead leg – but showed strength and power in attack, typified through the impressive North who set-up another score for Davies.

However, Ireland found some spark of their own through Tommy Bowe who scored in the corner and at 21-15 with five minutes on the clock, looked to have the match; however, the Welsh had other plans and cut the lead to one-point with a try from North.

Stephen Ferris was then sin-binned for a dangerous tackle on Ian Evans and Halfpenny held his nerve to slot over the last-gasp penalty and condemn the Irish to their first defeat in the opening game of the Six Nations for eight years.

Following the match, Ireland Coach Declan Kidney was left to rue his side’s missed chances:

"It is extremely disappointing. We had a lead early in the second half but we did not build on it. When we do press ahead we have to go for the jugular. We are going to have to look at being more ruthless," he said.

It was a classic match with many talking points, so feel free to discuss below.

Eight points from debutant Owen Farrell and a Charlie Hodgson try proved to be the difference as England saw off a sloppy Scotland side 13-6 at Murrayfield this weekend. England were under the pump in the second half but escaped with the win.

In what was England’s first win in the Scottish capital since 2004, the visitors managed to keep an aggressive Scottish attack at bay, although were massively assisted by the abundance of errors from the home side.

The Scottish dominated the territory and possession stats but aimless kicking, repeat infringements and too many basic errors meant they were unable to convert their chances into points; as typified by clear blown scoring chances from Ross Rennie and Greig Laidlaw.

Meanwhile England captain Chris Robshaw led from the front for “the auld enemy”, putting his body on the line as Scotland threw everything but the kitchen sink at the red rose defence.

But the men in blue were unable to convert their chances into points and gifted England the perfect start to their 2012 Six Nations campaign.

Interim England coach Stuart Lancaster was pleased with his side’s strong defence and strict discipline: "[Murrayfield] is a tough place to come and win, so that was a great result," he said.

"We got a lot of things right, especially in defence where we showed great spirit and willingness to work. We always had an inner confidence in those new players and we're delighted to get off the mark but it's only step one."

Meanwhile, Scotland coach Andy Robinson stated that his side’s failure to convert chances into points cost them the win: "We created enough chances, but we’re not taking them," Robinson said.

"It's important that we stay together. Everybody is very frustrated by the loss."

With so much possesion in the second half but failing to score, what are Scotland doing wrong?

France opened their 2012 Six Nations campaign with a convincing 30-12 win over Italy at the Stade de France on Saturday. One of the highlights of the game was a fantastic try scored by winger Julien Malzieu, while debutant Wesley Fofana also crossed.

New France head coach Philippe Saint-André saw his side score four tries past their continental cousins, although the Italians performed valiantly in the tight – dominating possession and territory for most of the match.

The French backs proved too difficult for the Azzurri to contain, with tries scored by centres Fofana and Aurélien Rougerie, as well as wingers Malzieu and Vincent Clerc. Scrum-half Dimitri Yachvili added 10 points from the boot.

Whereas Les Bleus capitalised on all of their opportunities, the Italians were unable to finish off a series of promising attacks and will have to improve before next week’s fixture against Scotland.

Despite his side’s convincing performance, Saint-André said that there was room for improvement:

"It's good to win but there is a lot of room for improvement; the glass is half full and half-empty," the former France winger said.

"We should gain more possession, we lacked aggression, especially at the beginning. As a coach, you seek perfection but today you saw great defence, good discipline and we even scored four tries.

"Up front we could have performed better. We lacked aggressiveness at the start of match in clearing out and as for taking the game to them, we did some things of quality but we were often guilty of failing to finish them off well.

"But It's a first victory, so you have to have a smile," he said.

What, or who, impressed you most in this match? Leave a comment below to let us know.

As we head into Six Nations weekend O2 Inside returns with previews for tomorrow's Calcutta Cup match between England and Scotland, and a look behind the scenes with the England camp at Pennyhill Park.

During the Rugby World Cup Haskell Cam was a popular feature that gave us all a look at what goes on while on tour with the England team. This year O2 Inside Line is back with it's usualy variety, and no doubt a few others controlling that infamous handycam.

Austin Healey and Abi Griffiths are joined by debutant Owen Farrell, who it seems will take control of the kicking duties, and fullback Mike Brown. Farrell will be joined in midfield by Brad Barritt, another debutant who has come a long way since making his debut for the Sharks in Super Rugby aged 19 many moons ago.

"It’s what you play rugby for, to enjoy those moments," said Farrell, himself still only 20. "It doesn’t change for me whether I’m playing in front of 80,000 or 6,000. Once you step over that whitewash it is the same as every other game. I've heard bagpipes before."

Interim coach Stuart Lancaster has selected a changed side, handing debuts to three players in total, with Phil Dowson another who, at the age of 30, will get his first taste of Test rugby. Just six players remain from the World Cup quarter final defeat by France.

Kick off at Murrayfield is at 17:00 GMT

England team:
Ben Foden, Chris Ashton, Brad Barritt, Owen Farrell, David Strettle, Charlie Hodgson, Ben Youngs, Alex Corbisiero, Dylan Hartley, Dan Cole, Mouritz Botha, Tom Palmer, Tom Croft, Chris Robshaw (captain), Phil Dowson.
Replacements: Rob Webber, Matt Stevens, Geoff Parling, Ben Morgan, Lee Dickson, Jordan Turner-Hall, Mike Brown.

Scotland team: Rory Lamont, Lee Jones, Nick De Luca, Sean Lamont, Max Evans, Dan Parks, Chris Cusiter, David Denton, Ross Rennie, Alasdair Strokosch, Jim Hamilton, Richie Gray, Euan Murray, Ross Ford (captain), Allan Jacobsen.
Replacements: Scott Lawson, Geoff Cross, Alastair Kellock, John Barclay, Mike Blair, Greig Laidlaw, Graeme Morrison.

Below is the first episode of this years O2 Inside Line, where you can see behind the scenes footage of England in the gym, coaching junior rugby, and some of the players have a chat.

Friday Funnies - Stephen Donald low blow

All Black World Cup winner Stephen Donald played a large part in Bath's convincing win over a weakened Northampton Saints team in the LV= Cup on the weekend. He did however take a bit of a knock in the second half, which apparently needs to be shared.

As with in other sports, when a player takes a knock below the belt, it's usually absolutely hilarious for those around him. That sounds a bit sick and twisted, but we all know it's true.

It's definitely something to do with having experienced the pain oneself before, therefore finding amusement in someone else suffering from it, albeit temporarily. There were actually a few requests from RD users to see this again believe it or not, so here it is.

Saints flyhalf Stephen Myler booted the loose ball down field after the whistle, except that Donald and his groin area happened to be in the way. While it's difficult to be an expert on such matters, it appears as though it didn't hit him square in the jewels, luckily.

Ironically, as with the twisted nature of male sports, if it had been more damaging, we no doubt would have got a bigger laugh out of this. Karma is a tricky thing.

Check out the related video that features Stirling Mortlock taking a serious blow down under

Last chance to WIN Jonah Lomu Rugby Challenge

At the end of last year we ran a competition to give away two copies of the excellent Jonah Lomu Rugby Challenge game for Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC. Today we're extending the comp by another week, so you still have one last chance to enter.

The good people at Alternative Software sent a copy of the game RD's way and it's definitely a winner. While there are admittedly a few ares that could do with improving on in the future, there's no doubt that all the hype surrounding the game is justified.

If you haven't played it yet, there's a few things that might convince you to either enter the comp (why not?) or just go out at get it. For the first time in a rugby game there are a huge number of licenses for competitions all over the world.

Jonah Lomu Rugby Challenge is really content rich with some 98 teams and 31 stadia featured, including the official team and competition licenses for the Aviva Premiership, RaboDirect PRO12, the French Orange Top 14, all the Australian and NZ Super Rugby clubs, plus the All Blacks, and other international teams.

Whilst not every team in the World is included, allowance has been made for customising players & teams so that you get the most out of the experience. If you want to play a once off match between Leinster & the Crusaders, for example, you can. Customisation in this game is great.

The game also gives you the chance to create a player or an entire team so you and your club mates can appear in the game. You can also manage your own team and international squad throughout 13 full seasons. There are even 'Game Play Sliders' that allow you to further tweak the game, if you wish, to suit your particular style of game-play.

The competition aspect of it is one of the best features as you can take part in whatever is local to you, whether that's the Aviva Premiership, RaboDirect PRO12, ITM Cup, or French Top 14, etc.

Gameplay is smooth and accurate and there's a detailed tutorial that sets you on your way at the beginning. Single Match, Competition Mode, or Career Mode are also available.

One of the best draw cards for serious gamers is it's online multiplayer feature (4v4 is possible). Lifelike graphics, atmosphere, and commentary from Grant Nisbett and Justin Marshall add to the experience.

While we're all searching for the perfect rugby game due to some other sports being ahead of their time, there's no doubt that Jonah Lomu Rugby Challenge is setting the standard for Rugby, and will provide you with hours and hours of fun.

To enter the giveaway simply answer the following question:

Which country did Jonah Lomu make his Test debut against?

Send your answer to info@alternativesoftware.com. Entries must include your name, address, contact number and which format of the game you would like (Xbox, PS3, or PC).
The closing date for entries is Friday 10th February 2012.

Click here to view the full post

Highlights from Round Three of the Anglo-Welsh Cup

The LV Cup (also known as the Anglo-Welsh Cup) continued with round 3 of action this past weekend. Here's a quick look at official highlights from four of the matches, as well as all the results from the rest of the games.Â

Leciester Tigers 19-9 Harlequins
Despite mixing it up in terms of selection, Leicester managed to bounce back from their Heineken Cup exit and now have a realistic chance of reaching the semi finals of the LV Cup. A lovely effort from young Alex Lewington, and a second half try from Ben Pienaar contributed towards the win.

Scarlets 27-19 London Irish
Tongan speedster Viliame Iongi scored twice as Scarlets outplayed the Exiles in Llanelli. Deacan Manu came on as a replacement and also scored, while Dan Newton kicked three conversions and two penalties. A win over Sale next week will secure their semi final spot.

Bath 46-14 Northampton Saints
In the game that produced that sensational Anthony Perenise try, Bath turned it on in front of their home crowd to hammer Northampton Saints, scoring five tries in the process. It was their third successive win in the competition, putting them on course for a home semi final.

Exeter Chiefs 30-16 London Wasps
Exeter captain Gareth Steenson kicked 15 points as his side scored three tries against a badly out of form Wasps team. Tries were scored by Dave Ewers, Myles Dorrian and Ally Muldowney while a late consolation try for Waps from Mike Powell slightly flattered the scoreline.

Other results:
Ospreys 26 - 21 Newport Gwent Dragons
Gloucester 40 - 3 Cardiff Blues
Saracens 41 - 14 Worcester Warriors
Newcastle Falcons 37 - 7 Sale Sharks

Below are highlgihts from the four featured games in the form of a playlist (use the player controls to navigate). Highlights from the other games will be added to this post if/when possible.

Romain Poite enjoys the funny game, but Geordan Murphy disagrees

Leicester Tigers were frustrated by Ulster in round 5 of the Heineken Cup a few weeks back as they went down 41-7 at Ravenhill. Tempers boiled over in the second half, but referee Romain Poite maintained he was enjoying it.

Poite was criticised by Murphy after the game for his handling of various aspects, particularly the scrum, where the Tigers captain felt that everything went against them.

"The guys in the front row were frustrated with the way the scrum was refereed," Murphy said.

"But we kicked away too much ball when we had it and we let ourselves get frustrated while they were composed. It was a very disappointing performance by us. However, it was a great one by them and you can't say anything other than the better team on the night won the match.

"There is no point in crying over spilt milk," he added.

Referee Poite had sent prop Dan Cole off in the first few minutes of the game, and things went downhill for Leciester from there. When Ben Youngs threw a bit of a tantrum in the 60th minute, Poite, Murphy, and Ulster captain Johan Muller came together for this rather amusing exchange.Â

"It's a funny game. I enjoy, and I think you enjoy," said Poite, to which Murphy replied quite frankly, "No I don't."

Despite the language barrier, Poite did a good job of defusing the situation and calming everything down for a bit, as well as allowing Murphy to to provide his blunt, honest response.

You can view highlights of the game in the related posts below

Young hooker Christopher Tolofua demolishes fullback Juan Imoff

Toulouse have found an up and coming star in the form of 18 year old hooker Christopher Tolofua. He featured strongly in their 19-13 win over Racing Metro on the weekend, with two big carries in particular in what was his first Top 14 start.

The French giants suffered a hooker crisis recently as Gary Botha is out with a long term leg injury, while William Servat will be unavailable because of the Six Nations. Their cover, Georgian hooker Akvsenti Giorgadze then ruptured his groin, so he will sit out for 6 months.

They've since brought in another Georgian hooker, Jaba Bregvadze, but Guy Noves has turned to young Tolofua, and so far it's proved a success. He had a storming game against Racing Metro, including two big carries (one which was huge) and seems to be slotting in nicely.

"He's managed the last fortnight," Noves told a French newspaper. "He was looked after by the old guys, especially Johnston, who took him under his wing. But he's got physically enormous density.

"We knew he had potential. You hope for a performance like that but until they play, you never know. He's got a great future. That's why we're keeping him," he added.

Tolofua, who only turned 18 a month ago, is already part of the French academy and could possibly go on to be a permanent fixture for the national side in years to come. His standing start charge on unfortunate Argentinian fullback Juan Imoff is one of the biggest collisions we've seen this season.

Imoff left the field two minutes later. Tolofua had another impressive carry earlier in the game, as did Racing Metro center Francois Steyn, so those two have also been included in the clip below.

Montpellier scored some outstanding tries as they made a challenge for the Top 14 playoffs with their 38-6 demolition of Stade Francais on Friday. It took a while for them to get going but once they did, they did it in style.

Fijian winger Timoci Nagusa played a large part in the first try, a genuine contender for try of the season. He combined brilliantly with flyhalf Francois Trinh-Duc as they found some open space and counter-attacked from deep in their half.

While two forwards were up in support, it was Argentinian wing Martin Bustos Moyano that got on the end of the 80m effort. Moyano actually ended with a personal tally of 26 points as he scored two tries and kicked the points for the home side.

Nagusa and South African centre Paul Bosch also scored great tries on what was a brilliant night for the Montpellier backs overall. Monster Georgian forward Mamuke Gordgodze also deserves a mention though, as does dynamic Fijian number eight Masi Matadigo.

It was Montpellier's third successive win in the competition and they now sit in fifth place in the standings. Enjoy the highlights below that show Montpellier playing some unbelievable rugby.

Incredible try from Bath prop Anthony Perenise

Bath scored five tries as they thumped Northampton Saints 46-14 with a bonus point win in the LV= Cup, setting them up nicely for a home semi final. One of the tries of the game was this outstanding effort from prop Anthony Perenise.

If you've been visiting the site for a while you'll know that whenever a prop scores a great try, you'll usually be able to see it featured and archived here. This one is one of the better efforts and will no doubt be a popular inclusion.

Samoan Perenise, who played for his country at the Rugby World Cup in New Zealand recently, weighs in at close to 120kg so once he gathers a bit of speed, will always be tricky to bring down. On this occasion he stepped a defender and accelerated away for a wonderful try.

In fact in this game each member of the front row scored, with Ross Batty and Charlie Beech also crossing. Saints were missing 10 players to the England Saxons, so were weakened already and following their heavy Heineken Cup loss to Munster last weekend, proved no match for the home side.

World Cup winner Stephen Donald also scored and Olly Barkley kicked 21 points, but the moment of the game was no doubt this incredible try from the former Hurricanes and Hawkes Bay tank.

Munster and Simon Zebo dispatch Northampton Saints

A Simon Zebo hat-trick for Munster signalled the end of the Northampton Saints’ European journey as the Irish side beat them 51-36 at Stadium MK a week ago. Many of you requested highlights so here they are, in HD.

Munster’s win over Saints meant they completed their group campaign with six out of six wins for the first time in their history, moving to 25 points which takes them top of the quarter final seedings, one point ahead of champtions Leinster.

Captain Paul O’Connell feels they still have a long way to go, but was pleased with the performance considering the pressure they were under come scrumtime.

"That 10-minute period just after half-time gave us a real lift. To be under such pressure in the scrum and still come out on top is testament to the strength and heart of the team," he said.Â

"It was a very good performance. That has been coming for a while. We've been very close and it was very satisfying to see the back line finishing off a few moves. It's right up there because it came against a good side away from home at the business end of the Heineken Cup.

"Last year didn't go our way, but we've had a bit of luck along the way this season and worked very hard to go six from six. We've proved nothing yet though - we've just come out of our pool and won nothing. We've still got a bit of a way to go to get up to the standard of Toulouse and Leinster."

Munster face Ulster in the next round on the 8th April. Do you think Munster will go all the way?
