Ye ye! As the title of this post says, I will be joining the 2nd Mindanao Blogger's Summit. The first one was held last year in Davao which I wasn't able to come. Sad really, since I'm in Davao most of my time now with school and all.

A remembrance to our class retreat last Jan. 21 - 22, 2008.

The Labyrinth is a winding maze-like path, often resembling a spiral. It is an ancient meditative art form, almost four thousand years old. Labyrinths are found in many ancient cultures and almost always have spiritual significance. In medieval times they were often laid o the floors of the Cathedrals. They were used as a sort of 'miniature pilgrimage'. By walking the Balay Euphrasie Labyrinth which is a replica of the Labyrinth found in the floor of Chartes Cathedral in France (around 1220 A.D.) we are rediscovering a long-forgotten mystical tradition.

The Labyrinth is a symbol that relates to wholeness. It combines the imagery of the circle and the spiral into a meandering but purposeful path. It can serve as a metaphor of one's life journey. The Labyrinth has only on path so there are no tricks to it and no dead ends. The path winds throughout and becomes a mirror for where one is in one's life. At its most basic level the labyrinth is a metaphor for the journey to the center of one's deepest self and back out into the world with a broadened understanding of who one is, and what one is called to be. It touches one's sorrows and releases one's joys. Walk it with an open mind and an open heart.

1. Purgation (Releasing). A releasing, a letting go of the details of your life. This is the act of shedding thoughts and distractions. A time to open the heart and quiet the mind.

2. Illumination (Receiving). When you reach the center, stay there as long as you like. It is a place of meditation and prayer. Receive what is there for you to receive.

1. Union (Returning). As you leave, following the same path out of the center as you came in, you enter the third stage, which is joining God, the Ground of your Being, or the healing forces at work in the world. Each time you walk the labyrinth you become more empowered to find and do the work you feel your soul reaching for.

I wish I could have tried this.

I mentioned something about featuring youtube videos here for a new category for my blog. Okey, I was kinda thinking to post for my first video of the category the very first video I saw in youtube. Which was the one where you see two Korean girls hilariously making faces and doing random, but amazingly choreographed dance moves while singing karaoke. haha.. I'd be surprised if you hadn't seen it. Just in case though, it's here. :z

But today, while blog-hopping, I got to Mr. André Calixto's site and did some poking around. I eventually figured he was an artist (the audio player in his site helped). I was too annoyed with the freezing audio player so I just clicked his youtube link.

He's really good and I think he deserves the attention. Here's one of his original songs and I guess his first music video. Great song. He's Filipino by the way, the song's in Tagalog (duhh.. *points at title :p). I wish him all the success he deserves.

I AM A YOUTUBE ADDICT.

I never actually had the guts to post videos of myself and what I do, but I really do enjoy some of the videos that I come across on my usual session of surfing youtube. I even saved some of the most interesting ones on my pc, but sadly, everything got deleted when my pc got reformatted. So yeah, I will be featuring videos. Yey! a new category for my blog! I'll just have to dig 'em up on my favourites list and see if they're not deleted yet. Let’s see…The usual ones that I’ve favoured are inclined to music, entertainment, humour, and people being stupid. I would also often venture into the world of “vlogging”, or video blogs. Like I said, I do not, and I guess will not make or force any video cam to face me. I prefer to be part of the audience and to limit my interaction in the form of comments.

So what’s up lately?

I am dying here. The pressure’s getting to me. I haven’t been doing personal projects, not even doodles for a while. GAH! More and more things need to be done: school work. It’s all too depressing to mention in detail. So why in the hell are you blogging instead of getting things done?!
