The Dodgers, Red Sox and Pirates have agreed to a three-way deal that will send Bay to Boston and Manny to LA. The Pirates will receive Andy LaRoche and Bryan Morris from the Dodgers and Brandon Moss and Craig Hansen from the Red Sox. The Red Sox will pay of Manny's remaining salary....The A's have interest in trading for him, but the Pirates are not overly interested in trading him. The Pirates would jump at a perfect deal though if someone was willing to offer two top prospects. They had been asking for two more high-level prospects in addition for a total of four, but have since backed down. The Jays, Mets, Rays and Braves have also inquired. The Braves would have to move Brent Lillibridge, Brandon Jones, a pitcher and a low-level prospect to get him. A potential deal was rejected by the Pirates' ownership a week before the tradeline. The Rays consider the asking price too high, but talks are ongoing. They were willing to move Jeff Niemann, but Reid Brignac was made untouchable. The Red Sox have traded him to the Dodgers, according to NESN, Gordon Edes and Jon Heyman........ The Red Sox were working to trade him to the Marlins as part of a three-team deal with the Pirates, but the deal is dead. One possible deal had the Red Sox acquiring Jason Bay and John Grabow, the Marlins receiving Manny Ramirez, $9M from the Red Sox and a Red Sox prospect and the Pirates receiving Jeremy Hermida, Jed Lowrie, another Red Sox prospect and Mike Stanton/Ryan Tucker. The deal is highly complicated and if finished/when finished, still requires the approval of the commissioner's office. According to SI.com, Ramirez has already signed the paperwork necessary to waive his no-trade clause. Another variation has a straight up deal between the Marlins and Red Sox being discussed that would send Ramirez and cash to the Marlins for Mike Stanton, Ryan Tucker and Hermida. The Phillies, Diamondbacks and Angels have mild interest in Ramirez. The Dodgers deny interest, but apparently are still involved in talks and willing to trade Andre Ethier.
