Planned to run longer than this but felt tired and had slight pain in my right foot which cleared up. Dont think I’ll bother running in thick snow again, too hard - will do some treadmill runs if I do anything else before Christmas.

Went out for my long run today and did just over 14km in 1hour 37 - not bothered about the time, I’ve done a lot of running this week, probably the most Ive done ever - around 60km. My legs felt a bit sore and my sciattica gave me a small problem with some pain in my left leg but nothing too bad that I couldn’t handle.

I enjoyed todays run - the ground had quite a bit of ice and snow on it and towards the end of the run it really started snowing so by the end everything was covered in snow - I’m really enjoying running in this cold weather; I dont have to worry about sweating too much so I dont have a drink with me - I wrapped up today with a shirt, sweatshirt with hood up, waterproof running jacket, beanie hat, gloves and tracksuit bottoms.

Looking forward to giving my legs a well deserved rest tommorow and possibly monday (but probably not!).

Just went for a nice easy jog today as things are a bit sore, my back was aching a bit as well - probaby because I’ve upped the mileage quite a bit this week. Will see how I feel in the morning to decide whether or not I do my long run, I probably will though!

Nike+ recorded it today and I ran for 41mins at 11km/hour on the treadmill with a 3min walk break. Nike+ is showing an average pace of 5.35mins per km - thats great, If I knock off the walk break its probably about 5mins per km which means a 10km in 50mins - 5 mins short of my target.

Will have to force myself not to run tommorow and do some weights instead.

Giving up smoking has really helped my cardio, no way could I have kept going at that pace before. My aim is to do a 10k in 45minutes so I need to up that treadmill to 13km/hour to achieve that buts its definately looking do-able now. Anoying thing is, my Nike+ didnt work again today so i dont have a record of it - looks like I need to get a new one.

Did a long slow run outside of 11.4km in 1 hour 14mins, Im warming to my new trainers as well. At first I thought they didn’t have enough cusioning but even though they feel harder - Im not getting as many aches and pains as I did with the Kayanos. Going to stick with them and see how it goes.
