Moscow’s queen of glamour Yana Rudkovskaya launches her first book. Yana comes in many guises – she’s a producer, a businesswoman, a fashion designer, an actress and a socialite. She celebrated the launch of her first book in Moscow with leading lights of Russian show business, editors of glossy magazines, and a very special guest – IMPERIA cocktails. The book launch took place at Bon restaurant, where guests were presented with their very own copy of the book, in which the glamorous socialite shares her life experience with readers, as well as revealing a few secrets about love and intrigue in the world of show business. Thousands of fans and journalists from Iceland to Azerbaijan flocked to the Olympic Stadium for the final to see Norway’s Alexander Rybak win a record number of points and take the Eurovision crown. It wasn’t just the show itself where the organisers excelled; all week guests to the capital were treated to wonderful hospitality, Russian style. The culmination came after the final finished, with the official afterpar ty kicking off at the late hour of 2am right next to Red Square in the hear t of the Russian capital. A 28-metre Russian Standard Platinum bar served up a stunning 9,000 mojitos and melon cocktails to thousands of visitors, including the winner himself, the cheeky-faced Belarus-born Rybak. The European Capital of Culture this year is Vilnius, the stunning capital of Lithuania, and one of the biggest events to mark the year-long festival was the Design Forum, held in May.
