After getting banned and looking at the other forums around.... i realized they all pretty much sucked.
Actually some decent ones, but just didnt have that old time PSD feel, you know before they started to suck the fun out of PSD.
So i decided that i was done being a backseat driver... no more bitching to an Admin about fixing something or upgrading the site, etc...

My problem with the Admin at PSD was that he would not take user and mod input/idea seriously, or at least he didnt have the power/technical ability to actually do pretty much anything.
Time for Ruven to put his money where his mouth is.

So i did.

No, the site is not nearly ready, its why i havent said anything to hardly anyone.
I have a main site that is in the preview stage and its already looking better than what PSD currently offers... at least aesthetically.
It just needs content of course, my time has been devoted on making everything work first, then ill deal with the content later.
Ive only put in about a weeks worth of double shifts :D

Anyhow, the forums are up live, they look krappy as its all default images at the moment.
I havent set up all the teams and havent set up any features.
Really am making sure that everything is ok on the back/tenchnical end of things.

Wrigley already knows.
Some people already found out and signed up, somebody must have told Wrigs.
Its ok, im not about witch hunts, whomever spilled the beans... its ok, it was bound to come out anyway.

Now to clear some stuff up.... NO we did not spam PSD.
I only told Tex to inform a couple of guys i asked them NOT to say anything to anyone.
I neededed some testers.

The guys i told Tex to contact are guys that have been previously banned/demoded for my "cause" or whatever.
Over AIM, not on PSD, and only a very small amount of guys.
I asked them not to tell people, but some told the PSD guys that they were close to i guess. People like to share... when i asked them and posted on the new site for them to NOT share.
These are guys that i dont need to "spam" to.
Guys that have supported me in the past, saying that im "Spamming" to them because they are also members of PSD, is pretty dumb.
PSD needs to remember that i brought and helped them maintain a small portion of their membership.
If some of that small portion decides they want to try out what i am doing, its not because im spamming them, its because they like what i have to say, they like how i deal with them, and and want to be a part of whatever is next as well.

I havent even told more than two or 3 of my fellow Laker and Dodger people, they gonna be pissed i didnt tell them sooner..... sorry guys :)
I wanted to keep a close circle on things, for exactly this reason.
I didnt want the PSD Admins to start throwing the "SPAM" card, which i know they have.

No one here has spammed PSD, on the contrary i have pleaded with them to STFU about stuff, i wasnt ready to launch anything yet, im still deep into testing stuff out and i just wanted a handfull of guys to help.
Someone jumped the gun.

This site having sucess or not, has NOTHING to do with PSD or any other site out there.
Something i tried to tell the PSD Admins time and time again.

We dont own the posters, we arent a pro sports team and they arent our players.
They can belong to as many forums as they want to, and hell they can make their own websites if they want to as well.
This idea that admins can control/force/dictate what their users do is just.... RETARDED!

I dont know how else to put it.
Maybe paranoid, insecure about your own product, or simply a megalomania... i dont know.

I just know that everyone is welcome to come check out the new site when its done.
But its not done yet, there isnt even many team forums (there will be by tomorrow morning, im going to work straight through the night).
[Not anymore, have to travel out of the country in a few hours, GRRR.]

Im being told Wrigs believes i have been working on this for months hehe.
I didnt even start right after i was banned, it took a few days, plus i went on vacation for a bit and got so sick i couldnt work another few days.

Ive put about 8 days of work into the main site, and a couple of hours work into the forums. Those have been 14-16 hour days, but still only about 8 or so days.
When i put my mind on something i dont easily let go, im sure folks in the mod forum can attest to that :)

So do i mind putting in full days in front of my keyboard, staying up all night coding this stuff up and trying to rememebr the stuff I WENT TO SCHOOL FOR 12 years ago... Nope, not one bit, im loving it actually. [Its a lot more rewarding than what i do for a living]
THATS why i have made decent progress in a short amount of time.
I have had some help, i did hire a guy to help me out with some small issues had been holding me back, he did quick work and i was back in the saddle.

Hopefully for those of you people that are going to stick with PSD....
This new site will hopefully soon be much better than your current version PSD, and that will most likely spur the new owners to invest and finally make all those changes i have been telling the Admins to do for the past few years.
Easy changes that wouldnt take a lot of money or a lot of technical expertise.
Changes that i and others have asked to be allowed to do for free, but never given the opportunity.

I was originally hoping to ask Andrew for some tips, specially since he was selling the business.
We have never had any problems and i always thought him to be a classy guy, a good Admin and leader for PSD.
It was a bit disappointing not receiving any sort of notice from him when i was demoded and then banned.
I have no link to the current leadership on PSD at all, so no feel or need to give them any sort of heads up to what i was doing.
Hell im a banned member, im considered an enemy of PSD in their eyes, why on earth would they expect me or anyone associated with the new site to give them a "heads up".
They believe its shady that i did this... well i believe its shady that they banned me for krap reasons.
Fair ?

PSD is a large mountain to climb, it was once a great site that is getting bigger, but not better.
The sports fan market on the internet is HUGE, and if our site is just a small piece of that market, i will be fine with that.

I dont need to topple PSD or whatever, i dont need to be bigger than them.
I do strive to be better, and if better turns out to be bigger too, then great.
This isnt me trying to be vindictive and out to hurt PSD, thats also ridiculous.
Do you guys know how many sites that are basically the same thing as PSD and DSP?
Tons... we are just going to be another mouth eating at the giant pie known as sports fandom.

I was at PSD for years and did all that i could to help it.
I have put my stamp on nearly every part of that site.
From pushing for Moderator Accountability, Village of the Banned/Infraction and other punishment control systems, the TM system, the need for more Mods/TM's than the Admins wanted to carry, Rulesets used in the Mock Offseason games in all sports, Team Colors/Icons and other visual improvements, More than just the Core Four sports being represented, tougher/higher standards of posting quality for users and mods, better main site, Idea for a PSD Logo, + many other things i just cant remember anymore.

I was dumped and blacklisted even before i was banned.
When a HoF area was being talked about for ex mods... the only stipulation the Admin had was that I could not be included.
I some how did not meet the HoF quota that some other mods met?
I wasnt sweating that, but when i then got banned.... i felt like i needed it was time to start my own website.

Fail or Succeed i had to try out my own ideas.

What else was i supposed to do,go to RealGM?

Oh and PS.... the best and only person who has all the facts on this is me.
Tex knows some of whats going on, he has helped me a bit since i dont really enjoy getting on AIM much (it keeps me from getting stuff done), and Ala has been in University Land so much that we havent really connected on this much since i last saw him a few weeks ago. (when he came to LA to visit his sister)

Ala is foreign so he sometimes comes off a little strange, and Tex is drunk half the time :D
One is very diplomatic, the other brash... im in between.
(weird when IM the normal one) :D

They both might say things that dont exactly jive with what im saying, doesnt mean we are in disagreement, just that we arent on the same page at any given moment.

I havent been ignoring your comments guys, just decided to take a little mini vacation for a couple of days.

Went down to Baja for some fun in the sun, came back home to find that its even hotter here than in Mexico.
Damn heat wave is making the AC work extra hard.
Guess there is no Labor Day for the AC :)

So whats new with the day to day of PSD... anyone else get banned/demoded/quit/runoff/scapegoated/etc.... ?

Andrew.... right.
He has been in the mod forum probably twice so far this calendar year.
Truth is that the dude got PAID!
With the amount of money he got for selling the PSD userbase to a sports betting company... its no wonder he doesnt really have much to do with the forums anymore.
Andrew came in and made a quick one line post basically saying "My name is Andrew, and i approve of this message".... after Wrigs said i had been demoded.

Now to the reasons given as to why i was demoded.

1. PM Complaints
Im a mod, i give people infractions, i ban people, etc... folks dont like that, duh!
Those PM complaints are normal... and par for the course.
If they even ever existed, none was ever posted in the mod forum as proof even though some mods asked... i know, i went back and read those threads :D

2. Calling people the word "fag".
Ok please... get over that word seriously.
If you are offended by it.... then you are retarded, and if you are offended by retarded, then you are a moron too.
I called one of my own laker fans who i often kid around with a Fag.
I used the word ONCE, not multiple times as he says.
It was kidding around, its not a word thats even banned on PSD, although i assume the word "ruven" will soon be.
I hear people are getting their posts deleted if they say my name.
Im not Beetlejuice.... its ok to say my name.

3.Participating in threads that should be closed down.
He never explained that one all the way, im guessing he might be talking about the two or three weeks towards before i got demoded when i stopped deleting spam all the time.
I would go in the spam thread and make fun of the spammer, i did that a few times without deleting the thread. I closed them sometimes.
Before that, my entire time as a PSD Mod i was always quick to delete spam.
I took a couple of weeks off from "being a mod"... others have taken a year off and get rewarded.
I took 3 weeks off and that was enough to demod me.
BTW, i was in Mexico for part of it.... everyone takes vacations, its about time i took one in 4-5 years.
During that time i posted less frequently, i did very little moderating, etc...
Summer was in full bloom and i decided to actually spend time with my GF for a change.

4.Being in threads with Plagiarism
Basically he means talking about torrents.
OMG someone mentioned torrents.... the FBI will be at our doors.
No they wont.
You can talk about them all you want, you can even do more than that.
But to think that having a conversation about a torrent is something that will get you in trouble.... is RETARDED.
You are allowed to talk about stuff, nobody was linking to any material or hosting the links on PSD or even posting links to perfectly legal torrent search engine sites.
Sites that HOST torrent files use Google Ads and all the other advertising systems, the same ones that PSD uses, and the same ones that Wrigs says will pull their ads if we talk about torrents.
That isnt anything remotely related to plagiarism...
He isnt stupid, but he pretends to be for good effect.
Its called lying now to get what you want, because nobody will be there to call you on your lie later... and if someone does you can easily just say "oops", but then claim that its too late now, "whats done is done".
Like with banning me when it was first thought i had "hacked" PSD.
BTW, word of advice, if you really dont want to get hacked in the future, i would consider upgrading the forum software to its latest patch from a while back... PSD is running a patch behind, just FYI.

5.A-Hole Award.
Truth is Wrigs was pissed about the Awards thing from the start.
Pissed that i did it without his consent.
Then even more pissed when he and the rest of his inner circle went on to bash the idea and laugh it off as something that nobody would care about and would die in a couple of hours.
It became one of the heaviest trafficked part of the forums for the entire time it was running... it would have continued roaring at a high pace if i wasnt demoded in the middle of it and could not continue moderating it.
The fact that people liked one of my ideas AGAIN.... probably pissed him off more than anything. Dont think he takes very well to being shown to be wrong.
I had ended my little "vacation" from being a mod that week.
Its why i was working really hard with the Awards forums.
I was back at work making Wrigs money.
I know Wrigs, i know the mod forum... NOTHING gets done in any sort of reasonable timeframe.
I didnt want 6 months to pass... Wrigs to say "Hey why dont we have Awards", and then pretend like my idea never existed.
Thats why i did them on my own, with Nozz's help and without the mod forums permission.
Sure they were a little ridiculous... but that was the point, i played them up for the campy nature that awards generally are.
They werent meant to be taken uber seriously.
He sent a brand new mod to delete the A-Hole award.
I thought he had deleted it because of the name, so i brought it back and starred out the name of hte title thinking that it would be enough for the award to stand.
Nope... that "undeleting what another mod deleted" was a big reason for my demotion.
BTW, D-Phins had just been added to to the GD forum for one reason only, to combat spam at night.
Yet one of his first acts there was to delete a thread by a seasoned mod?
Yeah... Wrigs didnt put him up to that at all ;)

Nearly every improvement done to PSD before this past year was either an idea that Sandman, Ari, or myself came up with.
And we came up with many more, but Wrigs would not allow them.
Sandman finally started to take my ideas and implementing them without Wrigs "ok".
That lead to Wrigs going to Andrew and asking for Sandman to be fired.
At the time Sandman and Wrigs were Co-Admins.
He made up some BS list of excuses and Sandman was dropped, making Wrigley the sole Admin and PSD losing one of its best mods in Sandman.
Ari has recently stepped down from all but one of his mod duties, i believe he kept his Knicks... he said it was school, but i think it might have been more than just that.
Lots of other long time mods have stepped down over the past few months, most have done so due to their disgust with the way Wrigley controls the forum and shapes the truth.
They are just too classy to make a big deal out of it....
I try to be classy, just not always succesful :D

6.You admittedly don't agree with the policies a mod has to follow....
Yeah... i dont, i tried hard to implement some of those policies, but Wrigs implemented them incorrectly.
We have way too much over moderation for certain stupid stupid things.
And not nearly enough moderation for hte stuff the truly matters to the health of a forum.
The priorities are not having the most healthy forum.
The priorities is having as many people come through PSD and click on those stupid Akon ads as possible.
Thats the bottom line.
We all know this is a business and folks gotta make money, but there has to be point where a smart person understands that future growth will only be hampered by the lowering the health of the site and the quality of its posters.
The system for moderating is so overdone... that most mods end up just not doing much at all. Its way too much of a hassle.
Things like Usernotes backfire on you when every time you discipline someone you need to a)Posta Usernote, b)Send a PM, c)Actually perform the ban/infraction, d)post in the mod forum saying what you did. e)Post in the Village of the Banned... did you guys get all that? (i think there is one more step too)
Its counterproductive to make it that much of a process in order to ban someone or give them an infraction.
We have to leave a usernote and make a post in the Mod forum each time we WARN you guys even.
By the time i finish with all of that... i forget what the person did in the first place to warrant discipline!

I also dont believe PSD needs to be blocking out RealGM.com, that we need to be forcing people that have their own sites outside of PSD to close them down or get banned.
A few posters that started their own website have been banned or told to delete their site if they want to come back.
Posters who went over to those sites and posted over there all got banned for hte most part... some got let back in eventually.

Its retarded to me that PSD still acts like some little site hosted on geocities.com or something.
PSD is the big boys, stop eating the little boys lunches.
Do you think RealGM.com cares if people post on PSD?
I doubt they or any other PROFESSIONAL SPORTS SITE would do something so tacky as to ban the names of their competitors. Do you ?

Ha... The moment i read that, i knew my days were numbered.
I could see the wagons circling and the drums making noise.
That was Wrigley letting me know that i was going to suffer the same fate as Bob.
I dont know the true story about BobSac, i was a new mod that mostly just staid in the Lakers and Dodgers forums at the time.
So i hadnt experienced any of the "horrible" crimes that Wrigs and others had put on Bob.
I had no opinion on the matter, and the only information i had was the "official" story as given in the mod forum thread that is still there to this day concerning BobSac.
I had no reason to doubt it.
Until know.
I dont know if all thats in there about Bob was true or not anymore.
I see the same tactics used on BobSac being used on me now.
It might put the whole BobSac thing in question... if i only knew enough about the guy to care.

Thats a load of BS.
I told Andrew in the past that if Wrigs problems with me became too much of a distraction that he could let me know and i would step down.
The last thing i wanted was to be a hindrance in PSD moving forward.
Those were my words to Andrew, the Owner at the time.
That doesnt count as me asking to be demoded.

I did say publicly in the mod forum ONCE that i would be turning in my mod card.
But that was for a specific reason.
TSF was fed up with Wrigs unfair treatment of others and himself, he wanted to quit.
I urged him not to quit and that if he quit i would quit too, so dont quit.
The next morning i log on and he had quit.
He IM'ed me and said "Now your turn".
So i said... "screw it, i did say i would".
So then i posted that since Tex was demoded they could go ahead and demod me as well.
Within the next few minutes i had talked sense into Tex and he took back his banned request and therefore so did I.

Again... that that does not mean i asked to be demoded "many" times or really any times at all.

Its just more of his spin/lies.
And the sad part is that a lot of mods get fooled by what he says.
Since if you speak up against one of Wrigs views you are automatically labled, tarred and feathered in the mod forum.

I fully expect the mod forum to be purged in the next coming day/weeks.
More mods getting banned, and more mods resigning.

It will soon be a forum full of only yes men and mole hunters trying to find out who is spilling out juicy information.

BTW, there has been leaks in the mod forum for a long time, everyone knows this.
Folks get accused and found out to not be the mole, and the search continues.
Folks get fingered and it turns out to be someone who the Admin actually likes... so that gets quickly buried as if nothing ever happened.

One thing, before Wrigley became the PSD Admin there was no moles.
There was no problems in the mod forum.
There was disagreement, but people worked things out, they knew that Andrew would listen to everyone equally and be fair.
I never once had a problem with the owner Andrew nor did he have one with me, prior to Wrigley being made sole Admin.

The problems all started when he was made sole Admin.
The mood of the mod forum changed, and having a view other than that of the Admin was seen as dissent.
Mods became afraid to speak up, mods stopped coming to the mod forum, and there was fighting all the time.
A lot of that was me always pushing the mods and the admins to do things to make the site better, easy and cheap things that required little or no money to do.
I would get angry when i saw the mod forum being used as a place to belittle and make fun of the users.
Nozz in particular who i did not even know at the time.

There was threads saying the guy looked like an apeman, a cro magnon, missing link, and worse.

All the time new threads would be made by a small group of mods with the simple point of making as much fun and talking as much shit about them as possible.

A few of us mods could not stand it anymore and we told them how much they all looked like 12 year old schoolgirls talking all this shit about people behind their back, then being "cool" with them in public.

And i guess that all comes back to why i used Mrkx's login to go read who was saying krap about me in the mod forum.

If a person is able to know who is saying krap about them and is given the ability... he is going to take it, i dont care who you are.
Its human nature to want to know who you can trust.

Wow this one wasnt supposed to be nearly this long.
If you read it all you should get a medal, or at least an Award for really liking drama :)

The Facts

More than likely Mrkx got banned due to my previous post in here.
I didnt throw him under the bus though.
I left him off the initial post because i was not going to name him without his knowledge.
I waited till he got on AIM, and i told him that i preferred if everyone just told the truth about everything.
It would help everyone involved move forward, including PSD... they needed a little help with their witch hunt anyway.
Mrkx agreed and so i went ahead and made that last post.

Here are the basic facts.

1. I did not hack into PSD, that rumor was thrown out by the Admin in order to continue slandering my name, now a good percentage of users actually believe i hacked the site.

2. Mrkx gave me his login info, i didnt steal it from him or use it without his consent. People that had been cool with me in public and via PM/AIM, had been talking lots of krap about me in the mod forum, he felt i had the right to know.
Obviously i agreed... wouldnt you, honestly?
I believed to be on good terms with some of these guys, ive seen the Admin personally instruct mods to try and "butter" people up in order to get information out of them
I wanted to make sure these people talking to me all nice... werent really doing it just to mock me or to somehow get me to spill some secret they think i have?
Its human nature to want to confront those types of things.

3. I went into the mod forum on July 18th, i read for 3 or 4 days, then started to post here and there. Im sure the Admin wants to know how long his "leak" was active... and im glad to help :D

4. I knew full well what i was doing, i didnt hide my obvious posting style, i used words Mrkx would never use, i posted in forums he never would about things he never would, i didnt try to use a proxy or any number of other ways to hide my identity.
Each mod has the ability to click on a little icon that shows a users IP on every post... it should not have taken them this long to figure it all out, i made it way too easy for them.
I even posted with one account saying one thing, then got on the other account and said the same thing in the same thread seconds later... i was sure that one would get me found out... but nope.

5. I did not make any alternate accounts.
If i didnt try to hide myself in the mod forum, im not going to start now?
I love PSD, my way too large post count proves it :D
But im not going to be making accounts just to try and still be a part of it.

6. I am not apologizing for what happened, not at all, i just dont think its that big a deal on my end.
Folks talking shit, i wanted to see why, end of story....

Im ok with getting banned, i knew it was coming one way or another and was ready for it for a while.
I only apologize to those i who feel that i betrayed their trust by logging into the mod forum.
Well those who had trust with me to begin with.
If you were in there talking trash... then there was no trust at all, just you being fake with me, so no love lost.
The rest of you, im sorry if you feel slighted, but it wasnt my aim.
I know a few feel like i crossed a line, and i have to accept that.

I would like to hear why you think my actions are bad/malicious though.
What exactly did i do (or even could have done) in the mod forum that was malicious?
If you sincerely believe that i went into the mod forum with some sort of malice behind my actions, then i cant take issue with that.

So anyone know of any good sports forum sites?

The Entire Truth

Mrkx did not have his password hacked, stolen, or used without his consent.
I would never do that.

He told me that people who i had always known to be upfront and sincere with me, had been making bad comments about me in the mod forum.
They had been swayed by the lies that Wrigs and his group had said.
I did not believe it, and i asked him to tell me what they had said exactly.
Instead he gave me his password and told me to see for myself.

I was dismayed with what i read.
But i didnt want to get Mrkx in trouble, so i just read and didnt post.
I myself knew that if i posted it would get found out right away by someone like YF4L (he is good with IP's).
So i didnt post at first.
I brought it up with Mrkx in a PM, and he said... "fuck it, post if you want".

So i did.
I tried not to make it sound like me at first, to buy some time.
I tried doing what i had done in the past.... post constructive criticism.
My last post i think was asking for more moderators in the General forum to take care of all the spam during the night time.

Someone said that i got banned on purpose because i wanted pity... thats dumb.
People that know me and agree with me and what i tried to do for PSD dont need me to throw a pity party.
And the people who dont agree with me and thought i was more harm than good, well i wasnt about to change their minds in any way... they made their minds up a long time ago.

I knew i was going to get banned, yes, did i want to get banned... no, but i was prepared for it.
The same way i was prepared for Wrigley to demod me as soon as the sale of PSD was completed, he was given more power and made a salaried employee of SportsDirectInc.
I was ready for that and its why i didnt make a big deal about it.

Wrigley is doing the whole tar and feather act... the same one that he orquestrated after Bob Sacamento got demoded and banned.
Now i dont personally know much about Bob Sac, other than what the official word was.
But it looks a lot like what he is doing now.
Makes me think.... could it be possible that Bob Sac really wasnt as bad as he was made out to be?
I mean we all have been lead to believe the dude was the devil incarnate or something... by the same people i read having a similar opinion about me in the mod forum.

I guess its fitting for them to paint me with the same brush, Wrigs did say that he was demoding me because i had become like Bob Sacamento when he sent me my "you are demoded" PM.

So it looks like he is making his own prophecy come true, by making me the new BobSacamento.

There is a rumor going around that i hacked PSD.
No, that is not the case.
You all know me for a long time, i have posted detailed information about where i lived, pictures of my house in google maps, etc..
My myspace profile sits in the PSD friends list right at the top, it has my pictures and all sorts of info about me.
How crazy would i be to commit a criminal act on PSD by hacking it?

What a hacker would do to PSD is, delete the database of members, delete the Admins and take control of the site, delete the site all together, delete all the posts,
Does anyone here even think that i would do that to PSD?

Then theres the whole idea of me having leet hacking skillz :)
Trust me folks, im not really that smart with technology.... im ok, but that takes a whole nother skillset that i do not have.

Its one thing to throw the usual dirt at me, fine im used to it... but to say that im trying to take down PSD or whatever, thats just a little too much, therefore why we have this post.
