Giant Killing the anime has finally came to an end with 26 episodes.
I generally like this anime series a lot and had always been looking forwarding to watching the next episode next week. The story and concept is really very well done.
I would rate this anime series 8.5/10 stars.

I can't really remember clearly how the story flow, but here goes~
The story goes whereby the general manager and assistant of the soccer club called ETU, were looking for their former star player, Takeshi Tatsumi.

The general manager and assistant were in England watching a match between a strong and a weak team, the match ended with the weaker team winning. When they got to the street, they heard very loud cheers from their back and they saw Tatsumi being carried by the local fans. They had finally found him.

In the past with Tatsumi in the team, they are the top team of the league. However, one day he left and abandoned the team and the team have been experiencing a long streak of poor performances for several years since then.

Once again, Tatsumi returned back to ETU hired as manager and coach.
The fans considered him a bad choice and protested against him being the manager and coach. They hold a grudge against him because he was considered as a traitor for leaving ETU at the peak of his career in the past.

Tatsumi showed confidence during a football event that he may be able to bring glory back to his team again.
In the beginning to get to know his club better, he was in a losing streak and fans were protesting again. However, things gradually change as he proved himself capable. In the end they even won the big teams from the league.

I feel that the plots of the story were very realistic and sometimes moving. The characters were unique as well. The anime has ended, but the manga is still on-going :)

Mobile Suit Gundam 00 The Movie: Awakening of the Trailblazer

Had went for Gundam 00 the movie yesterday. It wasn't as great as I expected. They went for a fresh idea which any other Gundam series had never done before, but it wasn't very convincing. But still I would say that the movie was not bad.

I like the graphics and the background music a lot. The OP and ED theme were good too.
The OP theme is performed by THE BACK HORN titled "Tozasareta Sekai" (閉ざされた世界),
the ED theme is performed by UVERworld titled "Qualia" (クオリア),
and there's a Insert Song performed by Chiaki Ishikawa titled "Mou Nani mo Kowakunai, Kowaku wa Nai".

The new special moves of the new Gundams were very remarkable.

The movie OP, ED and OST has already been released. The Insert song will be release soon on 6th October, 2010.

How anime scaled figures were built from scratch

Here's a video from Japan showing how a figure were built from scratch. It shows the whole process from designing... to sculpting... to finishing it. There's no subtitles but by just watching what they are doing you should get a glimpse of what they are doing.

There's 9 parts to the video, each rounding 9 to 10 minutes. It's worth the time to watch it if you are really curious. It was really very interesting to see how it was built from nothing to something awesome. I'd never imagined that that's the way they did the sculpting, it's cool. There's a lot of work done. The artists were really skilled and professional. I'm really very impressed by their magic hands.

Ragnarok Online was once one of my favorite games. The graphics were cute, the music were great, it's pretty much one of the best MMORPG I've ever played.

Back to this product, she reminds me of Saber because of her hairstyle and eye color. This Nendoroid comes with 2 faces, 2 headdress, a staff and a Poring.
Although poses aren't very attractive, but I think the costume is very nice and overall cute. It's worth the money for it. Ragnarok Online fans should get one!

Although Mio is shy, yes, but I don't think I would buy a figure with that depressing expressions. However, her guitar Elizabeth, is very detailed. Look at the strings, and there's wire for the amplifier. The pose is not bad too.
I think she would look better if she wears Misaki's Maid Latte uniform (from 会長はメイド様！).
Overall it it's a good figure. Many people may like that expressions, I don't know ^^

Watch out for this scam mail, everybody.
They act like they're from Windows Live, but they are not.
I had just received this mail and I nearly got scammed.

Now the Windows Live Hotmail doesn't show the senders' email address if you don't click the drop-down bar and they took advantage of that. This scam mail links you to another site that asks you to log-in into your account to confirm your recent change in your personal details. That's bullshit lol. It is trying to steal your information. Just be careful.

This is actually a very good buy if u think that Nendoroid is too expensive. The Nendoroid Petite is about the same in height, but not in size. And you also can't play with it as much as the Nendoroid. But what's good is that u get to collection all the characters.

Although they claimed that "You cannot necessarily get all kinds of the items in one box", but you always end up with all kinds. It will actually look quite good if you can place the 12 of them in front of your monitor.

Oh and don't mistaken, the tanned Azu-nyan is not the secret! Good Smile always give their consumers a big surprise with their secret figure.

This is a game where you pilot a unit and play its story. The gameplay is excellent and really very exciting.. Watch the gameplay video below to see it for yourself.

Theme songs from respective anime/game were also used in the game.
Yup, not just from anime but from other games too. Like the Armored Core.

Heat Wave Experiment (Maya with After Effects)

This a heat wave test experiment using particles generated from Autodesk Maya and composited with Adobe After Effects.

There's been many question on how to do it, but it's actually pretty easy. You don't have to do everything in a single program. Here's how I do it.

For my case, the heat wave is generated by the thruster of the planes, so I will place an emitter on the thruster.
Set particle render type to sphere, and other attributes to your needs. Simply render it without any extra coloring, and import it to AE. Just create a "New Adjustment Layer", apply the effects "Displacement Map", attach the rendered images to the displacement map. And lastly hide the rendered images.

Final Year Project 2009

This was the final year project which I made last year, it was done alone in about 4 weeks.
The scene might be somewhat familiar as I referenced them from Ace Combat 6.
It was pretty nice working alone, however the time given was too little. I wanted to make something more meaningful instead of just some planes flying around, as well as more visual effects.

Overall it was a nice experience, and many experiments were done. Working alone makes you explore more than you can imagine. Never be afraid to work alone. You still can ask friends and families for critiques and comments. That will help you to improve a lot.
