Искам да кажа, че аз харесвам Софи Маринова. Това не означава, че харесвам музиката ѝ, защото истината е, че знам точно една нейна песен. Обаче харесвам нея самата.

Харесвам я защото винаги когато я видя на сцена, тя е щастлива. Видимо обича работата си и се раздава без значение дали пее пред цигани, българи или азербайджанци. Харесвам я, защото за разлика от други родни звезди, Софи никога не се държи все едно е неразбрана и света ѝ дължи нещо.

Всъщност Софка е пич.

И какъв е проблемът, че Софка ни представя на Евровизия? Че е циганка? Че от това България автоматично става циганска държава?  България е циганска държава със и без Софка на Евровизия. И не заради циганите и гетата, а защото повечето хора тук живеят безотговорно и без да мислят за утре. Повечето хора в тази държава живеят, все едно утре таборът им ще политне към небето, но в крайна сметка точно тези, които най-малко мислят, най-рядко заминават за някъде.

Аз лично съм абсолютно ок, че циганката Софи Маринова ме представи на Евровизия. Доста по-неок съм от това, че българите Димитър Стоянов и Слави Бинев ме представят в Европейския парламент.

I think the photos from Thessaloniki are somewhat average. They were taken in between TEDx and the hotel and mostly in the hottest hours of the day when the sun is the worst and you can tell. Still they are not necessary really bad.

The city looks pretty good but you can tell things are not so great. There are too many closed shops and abandoned buildings. And some of the abandoned buildings are absolutely gorgeous. You can see they have stories to tell and might look beautiful if restored properly. I hope they do restore them instead of take them down as we do in Bulgaria.

I love cities that have tangerines on the streets.

В отглеждането и възпитанието на куче, научаваш много неща. Търпение, постоянство, повече спокойствие.

Сред по-”дребните” неща е, че няма нищо страшно в дъжда.

Научаваш се да обичаш, това което другите наричат “лошо време”.

Ако, за да са двама души заедно, стигаше желанието само на едната страна, много малко хора щяха да са сами.

И още по-малко щяха да са с правилния човек.

Ще му кажа, че искам Вихър да обича хората, да им се радва, да не го е страх, да не ги лае, да ги харесва.

И после се усетих. Вихър трудно ще харесва хората.

По много причини, но една е, че аз не харесвам хората по принцип.  Харесвам конкретни хора. Харесва ми да прекарвам време с тях, да са в живота ми, дори и да ги няма на близо физически. Харесва ми да говоря с тях, да се смеем, с някои – да си мълчим. Харесва ми да се грижат за мен и аз да правя неща за тях – харесва ми да им правя палачинки. Харесва ми да знам какво им хареса и какво ги усмихва. Харесва ми да ги познавам, не само като контакти. Всъщност дори бичам конкретни хора.

Но всъщност аз не харесвам хората по принцип. Някои конкретни дори бих ги заличила от земята. Повечето време хората по принцип не ми трябват и не ми липсват. Да, харесва ми да намирам нови и интересни сред тях, но хората като маса не са моето нещо.

Не смятам да се насилвам за повече.

This one will be in English. Maybe I should start blogging more in English in general.

We were in Thessaloniki over the weekend as TEDx organizers and watched TEDxThessaloniki. TEDxThess, I have misspelled the # about a thousand time in Twitter by the way, took place for the third time this year under the theme “The Courage To Create”. It had 18 speakers and over 600 people in the audience. The choice of speakers was interesting.

Gazmend Kapllani opened TEDxThessalonki  аnd talked about history and change. “Only statues and cemeteries don’t change, those who don’t change don’t get exposed and they don’t create” he said. Elpida Rouka tuned in with her urge for people to listen and give a different narrative. Tomás Sedlácek  gave a smart and fun talk about the financial crisis and debt.

It was Edi Rama, Ilias Poulias  and Angelos Patsias that had the most talked about presentations. Rama is an Albanian opposition leader and former mayor of Tirana who has done miracles there. Actually he has done what every single mayor of Sofia refuses to do and even worst – understand. He demolished some buildings, built parks and painted the town. Rama understood that when you change a town, you also change the people who live in it. Angelos Patsias  is a humble teacher from a small village that seems to be making some sort of revolution in his school. I missed the lecture but met him afterwards – a genuinely nice person.

I just loved Katerina Vrana! That girl is amazing, she kinda stole the show. I strongly recommend you check her out . We heard some bold choices of music too. Yannis Aggelakas and his band are not an usual choice for a TED(x) event but proved such music can actually work. Leon and his band were also great (a really bad video). They sounded a bit like Greek Mumford & Sons or Beirut to me but I say this in a very good way. Great guys that had the room on their feet by the end.

If you now expect me to tell you TEDxThessaloniki was far better than the TEDx events in Bulgaria I have been part of, I will not. Not because I suffer from any form of patriotism, I did not like the event or because I am involved with TEDxNBU. I will not tell you that because having seen it I am now even more convinced TEDxBG and TEDxNBU are pretty good and well organized.

As for TEDxThessaloniki I think it was fun, inspirational, emotional and insightful in the right amounts – a truly TEDx day and atmosphere. The best thing about it was it had translation available. As big and brave as TEDx ideas are they still haven’t managed to resolve the Tower of Babel issue and it is an issue. I am convinced that TEDx tourism is a magnificent idea and one I plan working on. However it is difficult since all events in the region are in different languages and my grasp of Serbian, Turkish or Albanian is minimal to lacking.

So if you have to take one thing from this text, take this – go to more TEDx events. The spirit, the inspiration, the chance to meet new interesting, motivated for change people are always worth it and that is what TEDx is all about.

Ок, съгласна съм. Планирайте и поствайте редовно и на равни интервали – 2 или 3 поста на седмица. Така не омръзвате на абонираните и трафикът ви ще е стабилен. Не задължително висок, но със сигурност стабилен. Съгласна съм и все пак.

Правила съм го и знам колко време и енергия отнема. И си мисля, че няма нужда чак от толкова много планове, когато опира до личния ви блог. Не сте длъжни. Хората знаят, че ходите на работа, че имате и други интереси, хобита и занимания или просто предпочитате да мързелувате и да пиете бира през лятото. И вероятно точно всичко това прави вас и блога ви интересни. Така че, relax & take it easy!
