SSPX return rumours addressed by Vatican The group which refused to accept Vatican II, including teachings on acceptance of other religions, may have taken back their previous stance

There have been speculative blogs by many people on this matter. An acquaintance in high school cut himself off from the world to join an SSPX monastery, so I really hope the group have forsaken their previous stance. The SSPX, or many of their members and sympathists believed that the Catholic Church had gone astray, inclusive within this was their general rejecting of the Vatican's stance that humanity and not the Jews were responsible for Jesus' Death. The current leader, has already stood out as seemingly opposed to those in his group who are antisemitic, hopefully he can lead them back from their less than ordinary ideas about the world.

The group has gained some empathy from Catholics who miss the aesthetics of the old Latin Mass, some of whom attend their services for love of the dead language, still the official language of the Church.

The papacy has yet to accept whatever statement the controversial group have made. Benedict XVI is hopefully smart enough to make the right choice, firstly for the mission of the church, and the people and image of the church and for the sake of the world. Secondly, that he makes the right decision, in relation to the group itself. One hopes the Vatican won't make a mistep, whether they accept or else reject the reply of the controversial group. When negotiations saw the excommunication of their leaders set aside, the Vatican had made a mistake, given one of the controversial SSPX group's Bishops /leaders had denied the holocaust had happened in World War II.

I hope the folks up North have a hearty wood supply for their fireplace warmth, and that those in the Southwest don’t mind sweltering in the summer heat. Air conditioning takes up an awful lot of electricity; and in Obama’s America, energy will be scarce. As Mark Levin has pointed out numerous times, Obama’s policies will ultimately de-industrialize America.

But we don’t have to look to the future to feel the pain of Obama’s energy policies. Look at our current gas prices. The Obama administration is locking up federal lands to drilling. The EIA reports that production and sale of fossil fuels on federal lands dropped by 6% last year under Obama. Other studies show a 12% decline. When you hear the president boast of all the “new” drilling going on, he’s talking about production on private and state land that was in the works long ago and is not under his control. He doesn’t tell you how his administration has done everything in its power to strangle resource development with regulatory red tape and foot dragging on the permitting and leasing process. We hear his endless claims that we only have “2% of the world’s oil”—sometimes he adds “reserves” to that—but know that the White House is playing games with semantics. The Obama administration is using a subset of “proved oil reserves” to make it sound like America is energy poor! They’re deliberately distorting the true picture of our massive recoverable oil resources—most of which is on federal land that the government has locked up to responsible development. In short, the president is deceiving the public. As I’ve said before, the energy production “facts” and numbers President Obama repeats are skewed, deceptive and downright Orwellian.

Ironically, President Obama likes to remind us that global factors outside of our control affect the price of oil, but he never seems to make the connection that this is precisely why we should increase our domestic supply of oil by drilling here where environmental and worker safety standards are stricter than any foreign country from which we purchase oil, and that our increased domestic supply would put downward pressure on the price of oil. If Obama doesn’t think increasing the supply on the market affects the price at the pump, then why did he ask the Saudis to increase their production? And Brazil? Why did he open our Strategic Reserves last year to lower prices at the pump? Common sense tells you that, of course, increasing the supply of something has an affect on the price.

President Obama refuses to acknowledge this obvious truth because he doesn’t want to do what needs to be done. He isn’t interested in drilling, fracking or mining for the resources we actually use to power our economy. His idea of an energy plan amounts to dumping more of our tax dollars into the bankrupt green energy companies that his campaign donors invested in. It’s crony capitalism on steroids. He’s also in favor of “investing” your tax dollars into algae because he believes pond scum is the wave of the future. He also tells you to deal with gas prices by merely inflating your tires; getting a tune up; and, despite your work needs or the size of your family, ditch your larger vehicle for one he deems acceptably small. But what about the $4 per gallon gas prices that are devastating the budgets of American families, crippling our small businesses, and increasing the transportation costs of all goods shipped in America and thereby increasing the prices of everything we buy? Barack Obama’s answer to your pain is basically, “give me some flexibility here…” because “change isn’t easy.” Well, actually it is. It starts with getting rid of this energy illiterate administration.

Today, on Tax Day, our big, wasteful, and largely useless centralized government is taking hard-earned money from 85 million Americans.
The Republican Study Committee reports: “According to the non-partisan Tax Foundation, the country will work 107 days this year just to pay for federal, state, and local taxes. By their calculations, a larger share of Americans’ income will go to taxes than food, clothing & housing combined!”'

#NOM (no, it's not about food), launched a Dump Starbucks campaign recently after it (Starbucks, not #NOM ) got involved in politics, when it (Starbucks, not#NOM ) had claimed to its non-American customers that it did no such thing.

According to the Dumpers in this relationship, that is: #NOM , Starbucks calls their employees partners, and has endorsed lifelong same sex partnerships, even demanding they be written into law. #NOM says Starbucks coffee is gay, and therefore should be dumped...

Gay, in modern American slang means pathetic... the exact opposite of that being what the word meant a few decades before, when it meant invigoratingly happy. Unfortunately Starbucks associating its coffee with gayness, is not the reason for the change in the word meaning.

It's been an unhappy bitter move, for Starbucks, in associating their coffee with the word gay, as they missed the generation gap, and are not up and about with the hippitihop lingo of this century. They also neglected to endorse polygamy... despite having more Partners than Jacob Zuma.

In their latest marketing blunder, the Starbucks CEo says that the best coffee is not only French but home brewed...

So be certain to um... dump Starbucks, not just because they (Starbucks, not similarly named Dump Starbucks) are more polygamous than a Fundamentalist Latter Day Saints church member on steroids, but because they (Starbucks and their CEO) say it's better for you... they don't need you and you don't need them ;)!~

'The chairman and CEO of Starbucks, has controversially admitted that the best way to make a cup of coffee - is not his brand's way.
Howard Schultz says he uses a Bodum French press - a coffee presser brand - which results in 'the best cup of coffee known to mankind.'
This means if Mr Schultz uses a 1lb bag of Starbucks coffee beans, it works out roughly 46 cents, compared to the $2.01 coffee drinkers in Manhattan pay for a small americano in store.
In an interview with Business Week, Mr Schultz explains that the French press brings out 'oils, flavor and essence of blends.'

'There are four reasons to make a bearish argument on SBUX right now:

First, I have some concerns about recent insider selling. Five company insiders -- CEO Howard Schultz, officer Paula Boggs, officer Clifford Burrows, director Mellody L. Hobson, and officer Troy Alstead -- have been recent heavy sellers on the open market in the $51 to $53 range. Schultz alone has sold more than $74 million worth of stock since March 13. The stock price is now about 15% higher than where these execs sold. If multiple insiders are nervous at these levels, shouldn't investors be as well?

Second, the technical indicators are overbought -- with a relative strength index (RSI) of around 70 (accounting for Monday's sell-off) and a stochastic of around 90. While overbought does not mean done, it does mean that investors who are long need to tighten their stops and those who are contemplating a purchase should consider waiting for a better opportunity.

Third, Starbucks has decided to expand its core business by taking on Green Mountain with single-serving coffee makers and Jamba Juice (JMBA 0.00%) with a new juice line. When a company begins to deviate from its main product line, it's taking on a greater risk. What happens if consumers don't like the coffee makers or the juice?

Fourth, right now, the price-earnings multiple of SBUX is about 36. While some companies can survive a high P/E for a while, it's not the best time to be chasing a stock.

Then there are the unknowns, such as high gasoline prices and a possible recession in Europe. While markets can climb a wall of worry, I don't want to own a company that sells a nonessential product while consumers figure out how to fill up their cars without busting their budgets.
So for me, Starbucks is a stock to admire -- but definitely not one to own at current levels. It wouldn't surprise me to see it go a little higher, and there are options plays to set up for a possible fall. However, for the moment, rather than assume SBUX can keep climbing, I'd rather sit back with a nice cup of coffee and peer through my charts for a better opportunity.'
