The thieves stole the lifting harness, and strap, and loosened the lines on the lifting crane. A report was made to the marina and Customs authorities ashore.

Incident Details: The crew of a yacht in Trellis Bay awoke and saw their in-the-water and not locked center console tender (plus 2-3 others) being stolen, and towed away at 0100HRS. A police report was made.

UPDATE: the owner investigated a nearby area and was told a $600 USD ransom was required for the recovery of the 3 dinghies. The ransom was paid, and 2 engineless dinghies were reclaimed in East End Bay, Tortola. The second dinghy is now safely stored in Virgin Gorda Yacht Harbour, and can be claimed with proper proof of ownership. The police were informed of the ransom/recovery.
