Today, the repairman from the appliance repair center came in to fix the unit and I’m glad that it’s finally back to normal.

Yehey! I can now wash our clothes.

Speaking of which, I gotta go.

Same is true with taking care of aging parents, it doesn’t come with a manual too. As with the parenting, there are also various groups and organizations that provide information and help on how one can take care of their aging parents.

An example of a group that can provide valuable resources to caregivers is ParentGiving.com. It prides itself as being the ultimate senior care resource. The site discusses topics such as the Alzheimer’s disease (including the activities for seniors with the disease, everyday aids, personal safety and safety alarms), bath safety, beddings and daily living aids. They also share information on mobility devices, skin care and incontinence.

The site also provides a one-stop shop for those who are looking for diabetic supplies or for other products too in the http://www.parentgiving.com/shop/. Among the products that you can shop (and even save on) are diabetes organizers, food for diabetic patients, socks, skin care treatments and glucose blood monitors and test strips.

If you are looking for medical supplies for your aging parents, you can also get those from this site. From medical scrubs to pain medications, from disinfectant wipes and surface cleaners to urinary catheters, from compression and support socks to ointments and cleansers, just name it and they probably have it.

If you have time, you can check out ParentGiving.com to learn more about it and the services they offer. You can even find the perfect gifts and products for seniors on this site.

Having a hobby helps ease my boredom sometimes. Music is such an awesome hobby.
I have been playing ukulele and guitar proficiently. That’s one of my favorite pastimes. Lately, I’ve become interested also in learning how to play a mandolin. The body of this instrument is typically pear shaped with four pairs of steel strings which is being plucked by a plectrum (or pick).

I am so excited to learn how to play the basic chords on the mandolin. Is it really going to be terribly difficult than strumming a guitar or a ukulele? I am into folk novelty, classical and a little of folk rock. Surely, I foresee that learning to play this instrument is never hard for someone like me who has the skill of strumming guitar and ukulele.
Maybe playing mandolin may become my “cup of tea” soon. Of course, I have to acquire first a mandolin at musicians friend and it must be now.

Do you know that you spend roughly one-third of your life in bed? Because you spend so much time in your bedroom, it is important to make this space stylish and restful. Upgrading your bedroom lifts your mood and helps you sleep better. Simple additions, such as a canopy bed or wall sconces, make a big difference. Here are five easy steps for transforming your sleeping space from drab to dreamy.

The first step towards renovation is to update your bed. A bed with a canopy and curtains is the best choice for a peaceful night’s sleep because it blocks out light and distractions. A canopy water bed provides a sleeping oasis for adults, while children’s rooms and guest rooms call for a canopy bunk bed to maximize space.

The second step is to choose a bedding set that is comfortable and durable.

The third step is coordinating window dressings and bed curtains with your bedding set. Choose items that complement each other without matching.

The fourth thing to consider is decor. Keep most of your decor items on the walls to minimize clutter. Wall sconces are a great way to add color, texture and light to your bedroom.

The final step is removing clutter from your bedroom. Keep everything organized with storage bins and closet organizers.

Now that your bedroom is stylishly updated, lie down on your new bed and enjoy a nap.
