The AMC is intended for [...] Continue Reading »]]> The American Mathematics Competition (AMC) is dedicated to the goal of strengthening the mathematical capabilities of all secondary students.   For over 50 years, students have participated in these problem solving contests. The AMC is intended for everyone from the average student at a typical school who enjoys mathematics to the very best student at the most specialized school.

Earlier this semester, nine Saint Paul students participated in these exams.  Four 11th grade students took the AMC 12 exam, and five younger high school students participated in the AMC 10 exam.  Jason Lee was the SPPS winner of the AMC 12, and Kevin Baek was the winner of the AMC 10.

It should also be noted that Jungmin (Leo) Lee also took the AMC 8 and finished in the top 1% of all students who took the exam.
