Budget hotel chain Travelodge is to build a new 145 bed hotel on Trafford Wharf Road, directly opposite the Media City UK site, next to the Imperial War Museum North.

Just last year two new hotels opened in the Salford Quays area, the £32 a room Etap and the slightly more expensive Ramada, both on Trafford Road.
