AFMC 2012

Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) Pune, MBBS Entrance examination will be conducted on 06 May 2012 for entry into MBBS course commencing from 01 Aug 2012. 130 candidates (including maximum of 25 girls) will be selected for admission.
THIS YEAR THE APPLICATION PROCESS WILL BE COMPLETELY ONLINE.
Prospectus including application form will ONLY be available online and the prospective candidates must have a valid e-mail id. Detailed modalities for the application process will be available on the website

The decision to postpone the date was taken as some state universities including that of Maharashtra, Kerala and Rajasthan scrapped their own management admission tests and agreed to accept CMAT scores for admission to MBA programmes. AICTE is also in talks with other state universities for acceptance of CMAT scores.

SS Mantha, Chairman, AICTE, had earlier claimed that the regulatory body wished to give students ample chance to register for the exam, which is why the registration date was postponed.

The colleges taking cmat score are still not finalized.

Scorecards will be issued to candidates who secure minimum qualifying marks and above in each test of the examination. It should, however, be noted that successful candidates in the CWE who have been issued scorecards and who meet the stipulated eligibility criteria are then required to apply to any of the participating banks they wish to as and when individual banks call for applications for the Specialist Officers’ posts for which a Common written Examination has been conducted, quoting their personal details and their CWE scores. Each bank will then individually shortlist candidates and carry out their own selection processes such as Interviews etc. for final selection. Each participating Public Sector Bank will independently issue a separate recruitment notification, specifying their vacancies and stipulating the eligibility criteria in terms of age, educational qualification, apenence (if any), minimum required level of IBPS score in each test and on Total Score (if any) etc.
