I seriously loved everything about my time with John and Tiffany! Their cute pups, their fun baseball outfits and shooting around the Nationals stadium, and location at Yards park we got to explore together! These guys have some serious chemistry and it made photographing them so easy and so fun. They were up for anything I asked, even if it was a little silly ? Thanks for being troopers, guys! I cannot wait for your 4th of July wedding next year!

Joe and Katlyn’s wedding was such a fun day filled with SO much love and laughter! I loved every minute of it! They truly made me feel like a guest at their wedding. The Islander was a perfect location for them to say “I do”. We had perfect weather too, which was the cherry on top of an amazing fall day.

Melissa & Anthony – Married! Charlottesville, VA Wedding

I loved everything about Anthony & Melissa’s wedding day at The Market at Grelen! From her gorgeous dress, to the beautiful mountain views, and their adorable dog making a fun appearance, it was definitely a day I will always be so thankful to be a part of! Her gorgeous florals were perfect for the fall with the pops of vibrant jewel tones. Her uncle grew the flowers on the cake and reception tables too! So many personal touches that were very unique! Anthony and Melissa are such a fun and loving couple, I loved hearing about their many travels and adventures and exploring the Market with them was so much fun! They even had a coordinated bridal party dance that had me smiling the whole time! The cake was gorgeous, delicious, and perfectly simple which fit the wedding day so well, but the cookies were amazing! The ones of the mountains plus their cute doggo were my favorite! Thank you so much for including me in your special day, guys!

Dan & Emily Swaim – MARRIED! // Washington DC Wedding

Dan and Emily are such a sweet and flirty couple! I loved spending my Saturday with them in the heart of Washington, right at our Nations Capitol! They first met on a uniquely named dating app called “Coffee Meets Bagel” and met at a local tapas bar where they laughed and talked the night away! Notice how they had coffee and bagels at their wedding, how cute! Emily had such a gorgeous, simple dress that was flirty and full of amazing lace details. The talented team at Best Face Artists did her timeless and romantic hair and makeup for her special day! I had so much fun photographing the neutral and classic details of the day! They said “I do” on the roof of a building located right outside of the Capitol, so we got amazing views! The venue, Capitol View at 400, was spectacular! I loved the views and we had amazing weather! Their colors were gorgeous hues of blue, green, and blush peachy pinks, some of my favorite combos! After they said “I do” we ventured out to the streets of DC where we were greeted with many honks and hollers, congratulating this beautiful couple! We didn’t have to explore long before we found an amazing cluster of Japanese Cherry Blossom trees, and it was perfect because we were right in the middle of peak blossom! Emily and Dan are naturals in front of my camera, and it was such a pleasure photographing them! Back on the rooftop, we heard heartwarming speeches from her recently deployed sister and friends, then we ate amazing food by Main Event Caterers, and danced the night away! Thank you so much, Emily & Dan, for trusting me with your big day! I cannot wait to watch you guys grow in your marriage! Here are some of my favorites from the day!

Andrew & Ashby – Married! Fredericksburg, va

I cannot wait to share these images from Andrew and Ashby’s big day! I knew their wedding would be great from the moment I met them at their engagement session! They literally smiled and laughed the entire day, it was super sweet! The wedding took place at a gorgeous historic home in downtown Fredericksburg. The home is called Federal Hill, and it’s a gorgeous place for a wedding! I loved the color combos of navy and pink, the greenery, and the historic Fredericksburg details throughout the reception. The rain stayed away the entire day and didn’t come until the evening! But that didn’t stop us from setting up the fun glow stick exit inside the tent, it was so fun! Thank you Andrew and Ashby for having me be a part of your big day! I’m honored!

Chase & Stephanie’s wedding was such a dream! Not only did we have great cool weather, but we got so lucky and just missed the rain! I loved all the little details Stephanie put into her big day, she incorporated many things from her culture and it was so refreshing and fun to see! The venue was a perfect backdrop, Shenandoah Valley Athletic Club really pulled everything together nicely, and the day went smoothly and was a blast! Andrew & Ashby – Engaged! // Alexandria, VA

Andrew and Ashby were seriously so fun to chat with and explore Old Town Alexandria with! We chatted about how they met, their wedding and honeymoon plans, and their jobs! It was so great getting to know them! They were naturals in front of my camera, and very easily fell into natural poses! We met at the Wilkes tunnel which was gorgeous, and so interesting to learn about, then we walked down through some neighborhoods on the water and explored the waterfront areas. It was refreshing to see some different areas of Alexandria!

I can’t wait for their September wedding! It’s going to gorgeous at a historical home in downtown Fredericksburg so make sure to keep your eyes open for the blog post then!

Cody & Halie – MARRIED – The Market at Grelen

Where do I even begin!! By the looks of these photos – you can’t even tell we had a rainy wedding day for Halie and Cody! They were so full of joy the entire day, their families traveling from all over to meet each other and witness them getting married, it was just beautiful! I am obsessed with all Halie’s details (she made the invites herself, that is talent!!) and her dress! That back! ? When Cody saw his bride he just couldn’t contain himself, she was so beautiful! It melted my heart when Bentlee, Cody’s son, ran up and hugged her, you can tell they are already such a sweet family! The best part of the whole day was seeing the families connect at the reception. It was like they were all old friends. The speeches made me cry, the first dance made me cry..I was just crying all night ? The Market at Grelen is really a gorgeous venue, and the cupcakes and cookies were AMAZING! Amanda Keeney with Signature Sweets has some serious talent ? Halie and Cody, thank you so much for including me in your special day. I will remember it forever!!

When Chase and Stephanie contacted me to shoot their September Shendandoah wedding I was so excited!! I love shooting in the mountains! Especially in the fall! Their engagement session got rescheduled once due to rain, and we almost had to move it again but the clouds parted and we had a few hours of glorious sunshine before the pouring rain started again! We met in old town Alexandria and wandered the streets, it was a beautiful night by the water! I had a lot of fun with these guys, and they were so great in front of my camera I can’t wait for their Sept. wedding!

Scott & Brittany – MARRIED! – The Market at Grelen

Scott & Brittany’s wedding was just perfect. The weather was not on our side, but their joy and love was so radiant, we didn’t need the sun! And as you can see by their portraits, the rain didn’t stop us from getting amazing photos! They got ready and had their first look at the Spotswood Lodge, which is owned by the Market! It is so gorgeous there, the willow trees, the gardens, the grassy fields, and the house itself. Brittany’s dress was like a dream. If I had another wedding, I would totally copycat her dress!! ? Then we headed over to the market and got ready for the ceremony to begin. The rain started to fall heavy, and I just have to say the vendors really pulled together and kept everything going smoothly and looking amazing still! Amanda Tyner and her team from Remembered Events get all the praise!! The rain brought a gorgeous fog over the mountain tops and made everything shine with green and vibrant colors. Then it cooled down and the breeze felt heavenly! The speeches made us all tear up, especially when her grandfather who couldn’t make it because of health reason, pre-recorded him singing her a song for her special day. ? The delicious food and cupcakes were provided by The Red Hub Food Co. and the blackberry cupcakes were aaaaahmazing. Brittany & Scott, I hope you have a blast in Jamacia!! Thank you so much for trusting me to be a part of your special day. I loved every minute!
