Below is my review of the workshop held last year.

Hi Lenny and the team, Two words from me to your team – Well Done! As a beginner, I learn a lot about Bazi from Master Ng during the 3 days workshop. The workshop contents, the humorous side of hardworking Master Ng, the dedication of your team and most importantly the way your team mingled with the students had make me feel good and comfortable throughout the 3 days. I am sure the rest will agree with what I have said.

Armed with the fundamentals given, I will definitely continue to look for more answers in the art of Bazi. With this, I hope to continuously engage with you and the team as well as the rest of my new friends in whatever ways we can. Oh yeah…I really never felt so ‘naked’ in public before. A very good experience for me… hahhaaa…. Anyway, I am still basking in the afterglow of a marvelous Bazi workshop. Once again, many thanks to you.

End of last year, I joined a reputable charity organization to help the homeless in Penang.

I came across the organization from one of my primary schoolmate. I was told about it before my trip to US. Upon my returned to Penang, I asked to join. I wanted to help because it’s a noble thing to do. I do not want to sit at home doing something only for myself. All I want is to have a more meaningful life which is to contribute in whatever ways I can to the society.

On my first day, which was on Wednesday night around 10.30pm my friend fetched me to the gathering place. I was excited to meet the volunteers. I even told myself they are good guys. I was happy to join them. After some prayers and briefing, we went around the town to distribute the foods and drinks donated by noblemen to the homeless.

I can see the homeless faces very close for the first time. The place they stay, the clothes they wear, their body odour and the way they speak to me was something that I have never come across before. Most of them just sleep along the corridor of shops around the town. Some sleep in their trishaw with dogs. They not only taking care of themselves but animals. Some are old, young and handicapped too.

I must admit I have a bit of fear during my first distribution. Fear that I may do it wrongly or scold by the homeless people. At that time, I didn’t know how the homeless people will react. Slowly and gradually, I find myself engaging with them without fear. In fact, I was happy to see them with the foods given.

From that day onwards, almost every week I follow my new friends going thru the same distribution route. We happily distributing the foods to the homeless until after midnight. It was a joy to hear the homeless people to say thanks every time we give them the foods and drink. However, right before the CNY, I stopped joining them as I was busy with my house renovation.

Little did I know that during my absent an incident happened that dampen the spirit of doing charity. I was told that some volunteers were asked to leave for not buying the organization T- Shirt. They were told to leave for fear the police will stop and catch them for distributing foods without any organization T Shirt. And the manner they were asked to buy the T-Shirt were incorrect. It sounded like a force rather than in a polite and correct way. I was dumbfounded upon hearing it. Speechless – that is what I have to say.

IN my mind I was thinking.

1) The volunteers are spending their time to help to distribute the foods and drinks. Moreover, it’s in late evening and they stay far away from town. They have even donated foods and drinks before. Why must chase away people who has heart to help due to small issue, in this case just a piece of t-shirt?

2) Why can’t compromise to settle the issue and give an opportunity to volunteers to serve?

3) Will police really catch those distributing foods without a valid organization? I have seen people distributing foods at night without proper attire. AND they have been doing that for quite some time.

4) Why there is no proper heart to heart talk in asking those who reluctant to buy the t-shirt? IS using force and chasing volunteers away will help?

IF what was told is true, I hope that person gets enlighten and aware of the mistake done. Repent and apologies. Be humble not arrogant. Be polite not harsh.

One has to remember that doing charity is not for showing off. It must comes from the heart. Not for yourself but for the deserving ones. Be it poor, homeless, sick, elders, children or handicapped.

Let’s pray.

After Hoover Dam, we were at Las Vegas Premium Outlets. It’s at South Grand Central Parkway. We used GPS to direct us to the place. You can get a set of GPS from the rental car company or bring yours along. You will never get lost with it in US.

There are plenty of store for you to shop. Be it designer fashions, children, shoes, fine leather, accessories, gift items and services.

I bought a number of items from here, most notably Nautica, Armani Exchange, Banana Rapublic, Columbia, GAP, Kenneth Cole, Levi’s, Tommy Hilfiger, Timberland and of course the branded bag- Coach. These are a few of the branded stuff that I bought. The list of store is HERE.

The prices are cheap compared to what you will get in Malaysia even after currency conversion. I bought a shirt of Nautica which costs me US25 after tax. It’s about RM80 which is still cheaper than in Malaysia.

DO remember to go to information counter to get booklet for discount for selected store with term and conditions attached. Once you are at the selected store, just checked on the discount offers in the booklet. If the discount suits you, shows the booklet to the counter before purchase. They will sign off on the booklet and provides the discount for you.

Occasionally, you will get standalone discount offers by selected stores. It’s an additional discount. Means its a discount on top of the original discount. Example :- 50% plus 10%. Sometimes, you will get discount coupon for the day. I had a 20% discount coupon for Coach Bag when I was there.

Once you are done with the shopping, you can rest at the food store for food and drink before depart. Las Vegas Premium Outlet is one my top choice of shopping outlets in US besides Cabazon Premium Outlets, Los Angeles and Anthem Factory Outlets, Phoenix.

Happy Shopping!
