Eric Herrmann, his dad, and grandfather were a long-standing joy and love of their community. Eric was a large part of the RattlesnakeFestival and helped in writing a grant to restore the San Antonio Depot. He was a member of a great family that helped preserve our roots and history

This project will widen and realign SR 52 from Uradco Place to Fort King Highway in eastern Hillsborough County. 

• Between Uradco Place and Bayou Branch Canal the existing road will be widened to a four lane divided roadway. 
• East of Bayou Branch Canal, the new alignment of four lane divided SR 52 will be built south of the existing SR 52 tying into Clinton Avenue. 
• Clinton Avenue between CR 579 and Fort King Road will be widened to a four lane divided road as well.

Clinton Avenue between Pasadena Avenue and US 301 will also become the new SR 52. 

The section of existing SR 52 between Bayou Branch Canal and US 301 will be designated CR 52 after construction of the new SR 52 is complete.

Looks like they will thankfully  go around San Antonio. The project is currently in design. Construction is anticipated to begin in 2019.

 The Rotary Club of San Antonio, sponsor of the Market, is taking applications
from vendors of pet-related items and services. This includes pet stores, pet food and
clothes, pet groomers and sitters, adoption services, pet demonstrations, animal
hospitals and veterinarians, etc.

The Farmers Market is held from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00
p.m. the second Saturday of each month in the San Antonio City Park. Vendor fee is
$25. Non-profit agencies are eligible for complementary vendor spaces.

Even though at the beginning of Feb. 2017 the Rotary Club of San Antonio announced a discontinuation of the San Antonio’s annual Rattlesnake Festival and Run, the beginning of Mar. brings new hope for the event as a new organizer decided to take over the management of the festival.

The Thomas Promise Foundation has become the savior of the event of which tradition goes back to 1967, according to an article published in The Laker Lutz News on Mar. 1.

According to the Tampa Bay Times, the chairwoman and former Rotary president, Betty Burke, said that organizing the event has become difficult due to the growing popularity of competing events and the lack of sponsors, as well as volunteers. Burke indicated that the Rotary Club of San Antonio had just 15 members, and organizing the event has become to challenging for the organization.

Betty Burke said, “It’s kind of a bittersweet thing for us – a difficult moment for some of us,’

Epperson Ranch will have a new Park Place which will be the first community in the U.S. to feature Crystal Lagoon, a man-made 8-acre swimming pool with its own private beach. The project proposes to construct a 3,904 unit residential development with associated roads, sidewalks and stormwater ponds on the site. Project plans call for the construction of a total of 27 residential units, an internal road and stormwater pond.

A new attraction has arrived at St Joe’s in Pasco County. The  Scream-a-Geddon park has five separate horror attractions: Cursed Hayride, Dead Woods, Bedlam 3D, and pair to make your skin crawl – Pandemic and Infected. A Monster Midway will feature food, games, Tarot card readings, merchandise and beer.  Scream-a-Geddon covers dozens of acres west of Dade City in St Joe. The park has five separate horror attractions: Cursed Hayride, Dead Woods, Bedlam 3D, and Pandemic and Infected.
