This is one of my favourite bags of the moment. It’s one of those that instantly create a ‘wow’ factor for any outfit, no matter how boring. Charlotte Olympia is really on form at the moment and I simply adore this bold, quirky design.

Bank holidays were meant for reading books, drinking tea and unlocking secrets…

Some bank holidays become adventures in their own rights. A time to go and explore somewhere you have never been before, or to go home and see your family. But sometimes, just sometimes bank holidays become internal adventures, where you spend time reading old books, and decorating with gorgeous flowers.

Between friends coming for a spot of tea, this is exactly how I will be spending my weekend. This beautiful blue dress is just perfect for tea with friends. It would look brilliant with or without tights and I love the Peter Pan collar.

I will also be building the new Wonsuponatime website, as we launch next week. With ten new exciting designers, I think you’re going to just adore them.

Now it’s no secret that I love me a Mulberry, and I especially love my Mulberrys in pastel shades. I went crazy over the pink Lily bag last year that I missed out on.

It all started with the Alexa though. I loved Alexa for about four years, but alas Alexa was never to be mine. Then I grew bored with that idea and my eyes started roaming to Mulberrys anew.

I felt bad, like I had cheated. I wanted to say to Alexa, ‘it’s not you, it’s Lily…’ but I never even had the chance.

But now this blue beauty comes out, all scalloped edges and beautiful floral opening catch. Just taunting me with its soft leather and perfectly petite size.

This will be mine by Christmas…

Bloggers do Gatsby!

With the release of the film recently, everyone has gone a bit 20s mad, myself included. That’s why, when I was asked to host a blogger’s event for fabulous Sergio Giannasso salon in Convent Garden, I couldn’t think of a better theme.

We had bubbles, nibbles and a lot of laughter as the salon staff showed the girls how to do 20s makeup, and created beautiful flapper style hair.

One of the best parts of the night was sampling the amazing homemade Italian tiramisu. The recipe comes from Grandma Giannasso and Sergio lovingly makes it fresh every week for customers and staff.

I also loved meeting Sergio, who is the genius behind the salon as well as top stylist, colourist and make-up artist. Sergio has styled many fashion shoots and shows from the catwalks of Paris and Milan, to London fashion week.

The Millennium hotel in London Knightsbridge,is  located in the prestigious Sloane Street, Knightsbridge, is surrounded by designer boutiques and luxury shopping. This exclusive address provides convenient access to famous fashion retailers including Harrods and Harvey Nichols.

The hotel itself is perfect for staying in when coming down to visit London, and especially when on business. The rooms are well lit, and the beds are soooo comfy. We did a test lie down you see.

I was invited down to have afternoon tea at the Tangerine, located in the Hotel. Here we indulged in gorgeous cakes, little sandwiches and the most delicate little scones. The desserts included a a chocolate cup, chocolate éclair, a profiterole, a chocolate and cream sponge cake.

While we were eating, the lovely Christine from Minding Manners  talked to us about the history of afternoon tea and etiquette. For instance did you know?

• You cannot eat the scones first in afternoon tea, you must start with the sandwiches, then the cakes, and finally the scones.
• You should never use your knife to cut the scones, you should always use your fingers (no, I would have never guessed either).
• Afternoon Tea is traditionally served on low tables before dinner whereas High Tea is served at a dining table

You can enjoy afternoon tea for £20 pp, which includes. This includes your English breakfast tea, sandwiches, scones and chocolates/pastries, also jam and clotted cream.

I love dinosaurs, but mainly I like T Rexs. They were such powerful creatures, like NO ONE is going to mess with a T Rex. But then there are those arms, you know? Like really T Rex, whatcha going to do with those arms? Certainly not eat sushi, that is for sure.

This selection of t shirts are some of the best I have seen out there. And yes some of from PJ sets, but don’t judge me okay? People have been going out to the shops in their PJs for years and none judged them (hello Walmart?).

My favourite might have to be the I <3 T Rex one, as it’s super cute and would go with a lot of things. But to be honest, I might end up buying most of them. You really should check out Zazzle, they have lots of T Rex shirts,  you could lose a whole day looking for them!

In the fashion world, design houses and magazines use mood boards to inspire and predict their next collections, or issues. You can use your own version of a mood board to bring everything you want in life to you!

It’s so easy in this world to be negative and really let things get to you. It’s actually much easier to be negative than positive, which something I have found over the years.

I always thought of myself as quite a positive person, but sometimes things can really get to me. I am a sensitive type and so things really can have a bit of a crushing effect on me. Being sensitive, I am also a dreamer and boy do I have big dreams.

Some of which are: to go into space (Virgin Galactic anyone?), being wealthy enough to not rely on anyone for anything, have a best selling novel and a multi million pound business.

These are all huge dreams, many who would say are not obtainable. But I don’t want to listen to the many. The biggest step for me to achieve all this was to become self employed, and thanks for my vision board – I finally did!

I do think however that day to day living can become distracting from your dreams, so it is good to have a focus. That’s where the vision board comes in. Like a mood board, you compile a list of inspiring images and words, which point to each of your goals.

Where to start?

Well you need to know what you want from life first. And that can be the hardest bit. Have a talk with yourself and start writing down things you want from life. Once you start, it really does keep flowing.

I have four corners to mine: life, business, relationships and travel. But of course you could have whatever you wanted.

Like me, you’ll start to see things appearing in your life constantly, that are taking you towards your goals. Little signs you might not have seen otherwise.

By having a vision board it will help reprogram you to focus on your goals consciously and subconsciously. In other words, it will help keep you on track and help keep you focused on the end result.

The warmer months always throw up a whole host of events such as the Polo, weddings, birthdays and more. I always need a wardrobe of new dresses especially, because everything always looks so much nicer in the sunshine.

Here are my picks of the some of the girliest, lovliest dresses out there, so tomboys beware! I always think a dress is the best option, because it is versatile for most weather and events. You can make it formal by wearing with a jacket and heels, or tone it down with flats.

My favourite out of these gorgeous dresses is most is the cut out, white lace dress. I love the detailing of it, and if you click on the link you’ll see how beautiful the back of the dress is too.

Now if summer called for anything, it was this partnership. I love how they have turned denim into this gorgeous, girly look that really is just perfect for festivals. And it’s not too girly, like tomboys could wear this too. That’s the point right? To appeal to more than the girly girl, which is why these two brands coming together works so perfectly.
