When I'm not in jewelry-land I get to take my video camera, pen, and paper and head out to find stories of people, places, and events that I find interesting and want to share. Most recently, I headed over to the studio of Oregon artist-extraordinaire, Hilary Pfeifer, to learn about how she ended up publishing her first-ever book; an alphabet book of all things!

Colorful bangle bracelets

My bags are nearly packed for an early morning flight to DC for the Washington Craft Show this weekend. I'm looking forward to meeting fellow artists and clients on the "other" coast as I wrap up the 2011 show season. This show will also be my last until early summer since the hubby and I have our first kiddo due in February! So if you're in the area stop by and say hi - see some of the new, big brooches; try on a necklace or two; and find out what 7 months pregnant looks like in colorful felted wool and sterling jewelry.

I'm in Booth #52. While you're in the neighborhood you can also catch artist demonstrations, hear music, eat food, make art yourself. And be sure to stop by the Museum of Contemporary Craft - the Gallery has my work featured all month.
