I am finally at that place.  :)  :)  :)

What you see now is the final outcome of what has been in the making since April 2011. Whew!

My incredibly talented designer, Ryan at Second Street Creative, was so patient with me. I brought a million and one ideas to the table and yet, somehow, he was able to refine and channel my thoughts. And later, bring my ideas to life!

I wanted something romantic and sophisticated, yet fun and light-hearted. Something that reflected who I am as a photographer and just as importantly, who I am as a person. And I think we achieved just that.

This video has been in the works for a YEAR. Yes, you read it correctly… a full 365 days. It was worth the wait, though, because it’s everything I wanted in a documentary piece and more. My hope is that you will watch it and have a better understanding of who I am and why I do what I do.

Overall, I am beyond thrilled and feel like everything couldn’t have come together any more perfectly and seamlessly. I hope you all enjoy the new look of Sarah Rominger Photography, please let me know what you think! I’d love to hear some feedback   :)

Much to the surprise of Ronna’s 12 year old self, Ronna and Jason are a military couple. After graduation, Jason felt the calling of his civic duty and decided to join the Navy. And Ronna, already head-over-heels for Jason, was gracious, understanding, and in full support of his decision.

Oh, sweet Ronna. I think her wedding date changed three times only three short months before her wedding.  I remember her saying, “I tend to call myself a chill A-type.  I get my stuff done, but I don’t freak out if it doesn’t go according to plan.” Thank goodness for her go-with-the-flow personality  :)

We met only days before the wedding and immediately hit it off. Mostly, because we all have a similar sense of humor – we’re all upfront and honest and enjoy a little playful banter  ;)

On July 3, 2011 at the beautiful Claxton Farm in Weaverville, NC, Ronna + Jason finally tied the knot!

Fun fact: This gorgeous veil is a family heirloom and was also worn by Ronna’s sister at her wedding this past October  :)

Introducing… Angie. Sweet, sweet Angie. She’s my 2012 Senior Model Representative for homeschoolers in the area and such a joy to be around!

From walking through thorn bushes to climbing into dirty old tires… it’s safe to say this girl will do anything for a good photo  =)

“I’m a little embarrassed to admit this but ______ (insert college roommate’s name here) and I have been known to shriek out loud together whenever we’re at the computer and see that you’ve posted something new. We scroll through your new photos and say, ‘I love this!’, ‘Oh my god, look at that one!’ ‘Ah, this one is so cute!’ We love everything that you do, Sarah!”

Um… seriously? Talk about a confidence booster  =)  I’ve asked this before and I’ll ask it again. How did I get so lucky?  <3

I absolutely love these two lovebirds. When I say they were laid back during our session, I mean, they were literally up for anything. Amy and Nathan, I can’t wait for your upcoming wedding at Biltmore. I know it’s going to be gorgeous!

Laura and Kirby are an awesome couple. It was evident how much every person that attended their wedding simply adored them. Weddings like these are my absolute favorite kind of weddings to photograph. The kind where I have to keep my camera pressed closely to my face so no one sees me tearing up  ;)

Laura and Kirby are both in the U.S. Army (coincidental that I’m posting this on Memorial Day? I think not!) and because Laura’s orders kept changing, we weren’t able to schedule her bridal session prior to the wedding. But, no worries! We were able to squeeze in a few bridal portraits before the ceremony and I am sooo glad we did because… well, simply put, Laura transformed. I know that sounds cheesy or cliche or whatever else you can think of to call it, but it’s true. Her bridal portraits took place at the Wyndham Union Station and the overall look and feel of them matches perfectly to that of her wedding! The most qualified candidates will be personable, stylish, energetic, hard-working, and LOVE having their photos taken  :)  Your senior pictures do not have to be the same boring photos that 95% of high school seniors have taken year after year. You are unique – your senior portraits should be, too.

Krista and Griff were married back in November of last year. We couldn’t have asked for more perfect weather on a day in mid November. And the leaves managed to cling on a little longer than usual and I know that thrilled sweet, adorable Krista to no end!
