Words are not enough to thank Aftabji’s efforts to share his invaluable collection with everyone. our music is greater than any one of us and by sharing it, enjoying it and talking about it , people can come together in friendship.
The entire website of sarangi.info is amazing. For music lovers its out of this world ! For those wanting to listen to the great masters of a bygone era and to connect with the MIJAZ of those times - its an opportunity just not to be missed!
We are fast losing that MIJAZ and the great standards of musicianship - we should
not let that happen.

Wow! This is a musical feast!! However, Sharafat Husain Khan sahab’s Chhayanat is not downloading properly. Downloadable data is only 1.45 M, plays for 2 minutes, but the file info says it is 24 minutes long. Probably the upload was interrupted and broken. Please have a look.

A great website; great recordings. Thank you very much for making the works of our great artistes available to all!

A small suggestion. People have uploaded great recordings, however they are not in appropriate folders. Can they be moved to the correct locations so that it is easier to search. For example - http://sarangi.info/2008/05/11/aftab-dattas-summer-collection/ should be ideally under the corresponding artiste folders under ‘vocal’, ’sarangi’ etc.

We are all happy to share these pieces.
If anybody has any problems downloading pieces please let Taimur or I know (and list the track)
I would like to thank the large group of fellow listeners for all of the music which has been circulating these days… rare and beautiful music-old and new from our collective archives!
I cant list them all but Dr. Ashfaq Khan has done a tremendous job of selflessly posing some of the rarest and beautiful gems here:
