SAT-7 ARABIC Planning First-Ever Daily Live Show

Now SAT-7 ARABIC is in the early stages of planning its first ever "daily-live" program. It will take the format of a “magazine” style show, with many kinds of segments—for women, youth, etc. The new program will take the place of several existing shows, enabling SAT-7 to both save money and provide an exciting new, interactive format for our viewers.

SAT-7 KIDS Provides Safe Haven

Rita, and the team working to create programs for SAT-7 KIDS, have always sought to create a safe media zone where children can learn more about God’s love for them. Many viewers have written to SAT-7 KIDS to say how glad they are to know that they can trust their children with SAT-7 KIDS. Recently Rita decided to begin using the slogan “Where Your Kids are Safe” as a way to attract new viewers to the channel.

SAT-7 Offers Condolences, Prayers for Families of Those Slain on Eastern Christmas Eve

“This is truly a horrific attack, one specifically targeting Christians on one of the holiest days of the year,” says David Harder, SAT-7’s Communications Manager. “Our prayers go out to the families of the victims. SAT-7 regularly receives prayer requests from Christians in Egypt, and in other Middle Eastern countries, asking for viewers to pray for peace in the communities. We broadcast these requests on our SAT-7 ARABIC channel and urge all our viewers to pray.”

SAT-7 TÜRK Launches with the New Year

New Worlds of Music on SAT-7 KIDS

This program helps to make different musical traditions, Eastern and Western, accessible and fun. During the show, the hosts describe the instruments, musical styles and artists. They also teach their young viewers more about how the songs are made.

In addition to this new musical program, during November and December 2009, the SAT-7 KIDS team will be working on a number of Christmas musical specials that will help children learn more about the story of Jesus’ birth and why certain songs are sung during the Christmas season.

Program producer Julianna Sfeir says the show is very needed, “We hope to educate women in the Middle East and North Africa as to what their basic rights are when they are the heads of a household. There is a lot of work that needs to be done to educate these women.”
