Man from Savage charged in Burnsville break-in

A 21-year-old man from Savage is charged with breaking into a Burnsville home through the kitchen window on Monday and caused a 9-month-old child to fall and hit her head, according to the St. Paul Pioneer Press.

The Dakota County Attorney's office charged Abdiaziz Bashir Abdikadir with first-degree burglary and terroristic threats, both felonies, and fifth-degree assault, a misdemeanor.

Three Savage residents are among 18 people in the Twin Cities area that face federal drug charges after a marijuana growing operation was busted by drug task forces, according to Twin Cities media outlets.

More than 3,300 marijuana plants were seized, according to the reports. The marijuana was valued at more than $6 million.

The night’s coming to a close and the kids are waiting for their bedtime story; but unless nightmares are the desired result, leaving Joel Arnold’s new book “Bedtime Stories for the Apocalypse” on the shelf is a good idea.

“The book is not for everybody,” Arnold said. “I wouldn’t consider it kid friendly.”

The Lakers will face Apple Valley on Wednesday, July 1 and then take on Eagan on Thursday, July 2. Both games start at 7 p.m. Prior Lake will play at Lakeville North on Tuesday, July 6 at 6 p.m.
