The premise is simple, ugly pigs have stolen your flocks eggs, and you have declared all out war to get those eggs back! Using different kinds of birds in your flock, you must navigate through puzzle levels to advance on in the game. Now this title is a physics based game, and when we say puzzle, we don’t mean that you sit there an think through something. The puzzle is how to use the birds you have available to destroy the fortifications that the pigs are hiding in, and ultimately, the pigs themselves that are hiding behind them.

The gameplay is fun and fast paced. You have a slingshot that you use your finger to launch birds at the pig fort. You have different kinds of birds, a scatter shot bird, a battering ram, and a straight ol’ flying bird.

As far as any questionable content, there is none that we can see or find in the game. This is a safe game through and through, have fun playing with your birds!

We wanted to update you on the progress we have made on Final Fantasy 13.

We have played the the first disk of the game, of which there are 3. It took us about 9 hours or so to complete. Like we said before, this is a beautiful game, probably the most beautiful that we have played ever.

As far as content, there has been very little questionable gameplay at all. We have hit no languages issues, no violence issues and only mildly suggestive characters and dialogue. When we say mildly, we mean a person would have to insert a reference or idea into the characters speech or actions. There has been no innuendo or anything like that.

So! We have two discs to go. We will keep you updated, and of course write a final review when we are done!

Having played all the Civilization games in the franchise, when I saw that there was a port over to the iPod Touch, I had to grab it. I am happy to say that I was not disappointed, as it is a solid game that is family friendly.

It is one of those games that I can tell you to stop reading right now and go pick up on the App Market. If you are still not sold on it, read on!

The idea of Civ Rev is simple, be the biggest, best run country in the world. Whether you do this through diplomacy, war or science is up to you. The game itself is simple to learn, difficult to master, and a whole lot of fun.

You start the game choosing a famous world leader from history, such as Julius Ceasar, Ghandi, Cleopatra, Abraham Lincoln etc.. Each leader gives bonus and sometimes drawbacks to your game.

After picking your leader, the game is pretty straight forward. You have to expand your civilization from one city to a spanning empire, making sure your people remain happy and that your enemies or neighbors don’t step all over you.

The game turn lasts one “year”, in that year you make strategic moves to help you climb the global ladder. As far as questionable content, there has been none that we have seen in over 50 hours play. Your military units do fight other countries units, but there is no blood or gore. You do see men fall and disappear indicating victory, but there is nothing that we found to be offensive in this.

There is no foul language to report, there is no sexual content to speak of. This is a flat out clean, fun game that will give you many hours of enjoyment. There are two apps available for download for this game. A lite version that is free to try out the game, and a paid version costing $6.99. This is down from the $9.99 we paid at release, so it is a bargain at that price!

KaW is an Online MMORPG that is only playable by iPod Touch users with wifi access or iPhone users with at least Edge network, if not 3G, or wifi to play. There isn’t a lot of setup as to when or where you are in time and space but basically you’re a medieval king or queen building an empire: which is sweet. Start out by picking your type of kingdom, defense, offensive, or a balance of the two. You then go to your kingdom where you use your cash to explore land around you, strategically build on that land, and upgrade those buildings.

Now enter the MMO part. You battle random people that also have accounts. You can spy on them to see if you can win the battle, to steal money from them, or assassinate some soldiers to better your chances of a battle victory. You can “quest” which gives you gold, sometimes. All of this costs you soldiers and spies which replenish themselves every few minutes. You can hire allies and join a clan that have benefits as far as your spies, your attack power, defenses, and cash bonuses for plundering and battles. This comes about by either chatting in the forums, watching the “world chat” or using friend codes (everyone is given a code unique to them). Like many other MMORPG’s of its kind there is a marketplace where you can buy items (for free, except for your fake money you earn/steal in game) that benefit you in various ways. Also you can purchase, with real life money, nobility points which seem to really not be to your advantage to purchase for the casual KaW player but good for the hard core player.

While this game has good mechanics and is fun to play, we need to caution you because of the fact the game is Massively Multiplayer. When you have thousands of people playing a title, it is impossible to gauge what kind of language or talk content that you might encounter. As with all websites that allow you to interact with others, players can choose what kind of interactions you have with people. You can block certain individuals, and can avoid areas of concern since the forums are not necessary to playing the game.

One other thing to take note of is that while many of the in game items are free, there are “premium” items that you buy with real world money, and this can get a bit dangerous. Overall though, we see very little issue with this title, and can recommend it for play! Happy Kingdom building!

Our initial reaction to the game is that it is hands down the most beautiful game we have ever played. The graphics are just gorgeous, and for the first time we feel like we really are playing a true “next-gen” game.

We don’t have any content reviews for you yet on the game, but will hopefully soon!

Most honorable gamer, today you are reading about a game that is very much a cross between the classic Super Mario Bros and ninjas! You play as Iro, a ninja who is trying to round up ingredients to a magic potion that rescues the princess from Omikami-Kun’s spell and general mayhem. You encounter samurai (the Kosugi army), scorpions, cobras, spikey balls and much more that try to stop you from getting the ingredients you need. You open the occasional treasure chest, you hit random blocks with question marks on them, and you jump around collecting gold coins that give you an extra life for every 100 collected.

The controls are excellent for the iPhone/iTouch. No need to tilt the device, just tap where you want to run, where you want to jump/attack and sometimes a double tap is needed. This game gets increasingly difficult. This game is colorful and diverse with multiple backgrounds. Fun and unique graphics are used, not to mention the great design of the menus and soundtrack.

Drawbacks for this game are few. The old man that tells you where to go exclaims “Lord!” whenever something bad happens. Violence is minimal, but you are fighting people that look mean and sometimes some ugly skulls, and the idea that an arrow is sticking in you is troubling but not gory. Your ninja will use magic and potions too.

At $2.99, this game is a value buy, and there are some opportunities on the net to get a free license from the developer. Play this game with a clear mind about the content!

Now 20 years later, the franchise is HUGE and spans many games and many consoles, with the newest area of dominance being the iPhone App Store! Owners of the iPhone, iPod touch and soon to come iPad can buy and play the game right on their device. Read on to see the details!

Final Fantasy 1 is a faithful port to the mobile platform, remaining true to the original plot, storyline and play from the NES cart that you remember. If you are new to the Final Fantasy series, this game will be a great pickup for you to see where it all began. The graphics are a bit updated from the 8 bit renderings us old timers are used to, but the developers did not depart from the look and feel of the classic.

The gameplay takes a bit of getting used to, as your controls are right on the screen, as you can see in the bottom left hand corner of the screen shot to the left. The cool thing is that when you are in a town or a dungeon, you have a fast walk button that will allow you to crank through towns to get to what you need.

The level of difficulty in this game is just as I remember it, a bit of grind with a lot of random monster encounters, and challenging dungeons and puzzles. The messages from the different characters are mostly the same, with a little bit of clean up for the changes that HAVE been made in the game.

Probably the best thing about this game is that it came out when adult themes and language were not put into games, when video games were still meant for kids to play, so developers were marketing to a younger crowd. So you have no worries about any explicit content in this game, which is awesome!

The price of the App on the store is $8.95. A BIT steep, but you really are getting a large amount of content with this game. Considering the original was about $30, it’s not too bad. Of course, you could get a ROM with an emulator on your computer, but if you want a portable, legal version, this is the one for you! Download it TODAY!
