Effective immediately, I have made the decision to wind SavyGamer down. This means that from this point onward there will not be any more video game deals posted to this site.

For just shy of 13 years, I’ve worked tirelessly to present you wonderful people with the best prices for all your gaming needs, and it wouldn’t have been worth a damn if you hadn’t all put your faith in me to do so to the best of my ability.

It’s been a genuine honour and privilege to serve you all during this time. By using this site, sharing it with friends, and supporting me in many other ways, you’ve all made it possible for SavyGamer to last as long as it has. 13 years is ancient in internet terms. Thank you for everything, you’ll never know how much it has meant to me.

As to why I’ve reached this decision? For some time now I’ve been keen to take on new challenges, and to push myself to try something different. I’ve not been creatively fulfilled by just maintaining the same routine for quite a while, and soon I will be moving into something more like a regular job, where I get to work as part of a team.

I need to give a big thanks to Will and Tony for helping run the site at times when I was unavailable. I also want to thank the publications Rock Paper Shotgun, VG247, Eurogamer, and Kotaku UK who let me write articles for them that also directed people to SavyGamer. Finally, I need to give a huge thanks to everyone involved in making any of the games featured here, without them I’d have nothing to post about.

My intention is to leave the site up for the time being, as an archive of all the information and text shown here, but for the foreseeable future this will be a dormant website, with nothing new posted to it.

If you want to find out what I’m going to be doing next, it is still game related, I’ll be giving updates on my twitter in due course.
