Following Wales’ disappointing 1-0 defeat away to Montenegro on Friday I guess all Welsh football fans will need some cheering up. What better way to do it than watching one of Wales greatest ever players doing in his garden what we all hope could be produced on the pitch.

Wales’ next MUST WIN UEFA Euro 2012 Qualifier against Bulgaria is on Friday the 8th of October so let’s support the Boys, and MAKE SOME NOISE!!!!!!!!!!!!

With Sonisphere festival being just over a week away (literally cannot wait) I decided to carry out some Spotify research on the line-up. Iron Maiden, Rammstein, Alice Cooper (We’re not worthy…. we’re not worthy!!!!), Pendulum and Motley Crue etc. should make for an awesome weekend but my research was solely based on the “randoms” and you don’t get much more random than Turisas. Not another Finnish folk metal band I hear you cry, I’m afraid so. Named after an ancient Finnish God of war Turisas have a unique sound, opting to play all of their solos on the electric violin, as opposed to traditional guitar solos. The song which has been selected for this weeks Tunesday is a cover of Boney M’s 70′s hit Rasputin, hope you enjoy.

Sbwriel is back with a bang after a month off for website development (or plain laziness). This weeks Welsh Word of the Week is inspired by the BBC’s current top 5 most shared news stories. The story is as follows:

When officials asked for the Welsh translation of a road sign, they thought the reply was what they needed.

Unfortunately, the e-mail response to Swansea council said in Welsh: “I am not in the office at the moment. Send any work to be translated”.

So that was what went up under the English version which barred lorries from a road near a supermarket.

Haha, in honour of this schoolboy error this weeks Welsh word of the Week is “Camsyniad” which means “Error” and is pronounced “cam-son-yad”.

My apologies once again for missing out both Friday and Saturday’s posts, I blame it on my new iPhone which may have some part to play improving the blog and my tweets over the coming weeks. I could have only dreamed about tweeting pictures on my Nokia e71. This weeks Thirsday choice see’s former ‘Men Behaving Badly’ star Neil Morrissey and chef Richard Fox ‘s (me neither) attempt at brewing Ales. I may have been swayed by the blonde factor but certainly regretted it after the first taste. Blonde gets 2/10 on the Sbwriel aleometer, didn’t enjoy it one bit.

This weeks (belated but topical) Welsh word of the Week is “Etholiad” which means “Election” and is pronounced “eth-oll-yad”. Voting time….

This week’s Tunesday is delving into the 2008 archives with an artist I have recently discovered called Seasick Steve. I first saw Seasick Steve on “Something for the Weekend” back in 2009 where he was asked to explain the reason behind his quality nickname, “I get sick on boats, that’s it” he replied. As good a reason as any haha. The song I have chosen this week is a classic blues / country song from the album of the same title “I Started Out with Nothin and I Still Got Most of It Left”. Not only a clever song title but also the current longest sbwriel post title of all time. Check out Seasick Steve performing this very song below on later with Jools Holland……quality!
