It is supposedly haunted by the ghosts from some of the Native American tribes that lived in the area around the time of the Gold Rush (Coloma is a few miles away). According to some, there is a strange mist that will hover around the drive, no matter what time of day or night it is and no matter the climate. When grinding stones were unearthed by a construction crew, residents of the area reported hearing a faint drumbeat early in the morning or late at night. Apparitions of Native American warriors have been seen walking in and out of the mist, and residents of La Casa also claim to have seen the apparition of a mountain lion (uncommon in the area). When one paranormal team investigated, leaving a sound-activated tape recorder at a site on the street, they recorded what sounded like footsteps and growls

Although several variations exist, the basic story tells of a beautiful woman by the name of Maria killing her children by drowning them, in order to be with the man that she loved. When the man rejects her, she kills herself. Challenged at the gates of heaven as to the whereabouts of her children, she is not permitted to enter the afterlife until she has found them. Maria is forced to wander the Earth for all eternity, searching in vain for her drowned offspring, with her constant weeping giving her the name “La Llorona”.

In some versions of the tale, La Llorona kidnaps wandering children, or children who disobey their parents. People who claim to see her say she comes out at nights or in the late evenings from rivers or oceans in Mexico. Some believe that those who hear the wails of La Llorona are marked for death, similar to the Gaelic banshee legend. She is said to cry “Ay, mis hijos!” which translates to “Oh, my children!”

A “Spaceball” if you will. People first think its an alien ball but it looks welded together out of manmade metal. Most people dont realize theres such a thing as space trash or space debris made of up rocket engines, old satellites, other crap. It all orbits the earth and sometimes it crashes into eachother and creates smaller debris that turns into dust. The dust scrapes onto satellites and other orbiting things and wears them down like a sand blaster does on metal. This ball apparently fell on other continents too. But the chances of being an alien ball are slim. Something probably crashed into eachother and maybe knocked out of orbit. Speaking of, Stephen Hawking has a series on Netflix. The first one is about aliens, watch it…
