What I choose to divulge in this blog and what I choose to keep to myself. Two things that used to seem as if they were separate. But in reality, there are things that I must keep to myself.

I’m trying to reason with myself as to why I would do this. But then, even something such as reasoning as to why I wouldn’t divulge every little detail about myself is really none of your business.

It’s … nobody’s business – if I make it that way.

I realize that this blog post will make little to no sense to anybody – but that’s not even the point. Honestly, I don’t think there is a point to this post. Other than survival. And the tools at our disposal for ensuring it.

Because of the circumstances that have been unfolding in the last 7 years, I have in my possession a single red trunk.  A box of things that have seen hours upon hours of bus rides, car trips and miles upon miles of open road.  This red box has been with me from Arkansas to Florida to Texas and back again.  And after all of these years, I’m still not ready to go through it all.

Through the pictures and photographs, the torn out loose-leaf pieces of paper with writing about events and information that is either irrelevant or no longer even memorable (at this point), receipts and trinkets and… memories.

It’s really hard to believe that it’s been 7 years.  The journey that started in the backseat of a friend’s car heading in the direction of the Arkansas River Bridge (connecting with North Little Rock) while heading away from my probation.  17 years old, going on 18.  No real direction other than that of the direction in which I allowed myself to be pushed.

Who are those faces, places, things, and items of interest long since forgotten?  And why, of all times, do they even resemble anything of significance now?  One day I think I’ll be able to crack the lock on my brain and rummage through it and make sense of it all.  I’m not holding my breath, tho.

I think my dissent started here – the acknowledgment of the developers inability to incorporate code that worked, their continued incompetence in regards to the basic understanding of what key game-play issues had gone so long un-noticed and unfixed, and the issues that were so long ignored that it seemed they were all but forgotten.

Let’s get one thing straight – I don’t pay $15 a month to log in to a game that is broken, and filled with evidence that its own creators don’t even give a damn about it anymore – that’s just not my style.  Hell, it’s own community is filled with whiners, exploiters, thieves, and cry-babies; a group of social rejects so unable to deal with anything on a grander scale that they resort to stroking each other off at the drop of a hat in regards to their ability to press buttons faster than the other.

And I’m just so… unimpressed.

For the problem lies not in the fact that claiming perfection in a game that is just so FUBAR is like claiming the gold at the Special Olympics – a round of golf clapping may be in order, but anything beyond that and you may as just be masturbating.

The game is beyond broken, and I’m beyond the point of giving a shit enough to deal with it.  ToR, hopefully, will not disappoint, and I will be migrating my former SWG subscription fee there when it is released.  Until then, I’ll just make do with console gaming – my long forgotten entertainment venue.

So long SWG – I’d say parting is such sweet sorrow, but then again – I don’t want to be a complete liar.

Nyquil works wonders sometimes – in the fact that you can sleep just about through anything without even realizing it. Then the morning after, waking up in a semi-fog wondering just when it was that you fell asleep.

Starting to clear up now – at least, enough to go back to work tomorrow. Pine Bluff Main Street. What a blast.

The most obvious solution to this would be to set aside a category for such postings (called something recognizable as being for the 18+ crowd, like +18 Only, or Adults Only), but you feel that that solution just isn’t enough.

So the first thing we are going to do is find your category ID. You can do this by click on Categories in the Posts box, and then finding your NSFW category. Mouse over the category and you’ll see a link at the bottom with a number. (cat_id=xxx). The xxx is your category ID and that’s the number we will be working with. Keep that number in your mind.

Now open up your single.php file in the theme editor, and in the loop, look for:

What the code is doing is one of 2 things. First, it’s inserting a div that will load as non-displayable when the page loads, and it will provide a link to open the div. It then closes the div below the content of the post. But we aren’t done yet. You’ll also need the javascript files that makes this effect actually work, which are combo.js, effects.js, and prototype.js. (Just right click each of those links and save them to your computer, then upload them to your theme template folder, preferably in a folder called “js”.)

You will then need to insert them into the header information of your header.php template file like so:
