<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #ffff00;">I&#8217;d assume that most of our readers have some very basic understanding of how the music industry works, am I right? At least enough to understand that the usual story goes: Work crazy hard till your hair falls out (ladies included) and maybe then one day you might get somewhere. Well thankfully I&#8217;m not actually that bitter, it&#8217;s hard get that way when you see  dope artists getting theirs which brings me to the whole point of the post, Scatterblog favorites the </span><a href="http://www.myspace.com/madkidsmusic" target="_blank"><span style="color: #00ff00;">Mad Kids</span></a><span style="color: #00ff00;">.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #ffff00;">We first started receiving their tracks through our inbox a while back and since then they&#8217;ve continued to step up their game massively with every promo. Now they&#8217;ve really making waves, attracting the attention on industry heavyweights such as <a href="http://www.myspace.com/mowglimusik" target="_blank"><span style="color: #00ff00;">Mowgli</span></a> and <a href="http://www.myspace.com/graemesinden" target="_blank"><span style="color: #00ff00;">Sinden</span></a> so if you&#8217;ve been sleeping then it&#8217;s really time to get your learn on. They have a new ep out on <a href="http://www.myspace.com/ittizz" target="_blank"><span style="color: #00ff00;">It_Tizz records</span></a> titled Trans-Euro Express and it&#8217;s a damn fine representation of their sound. We&#8217;re not giving you the tracks though, go to the store </span><a href="https://www.beatport.com/en-US/html/content/release/detail/224745/Trans-Euro%20Express%20EP" target="_blank"><span style="color: #00ff00;">(buy)</span></a><span style="color: #ffff00;"> and give them a little bit of support. (before you sigh with frustration remember how expensive it was when you had to buy 12&#8217;s?). What we can give you here though is something else from their back catalog, a dope little tropical house number named Mumboi. Enjoy that 808 cowbell! </span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><a href="http://www.scatterblog.com/tracks/Mumboi%20(Original%20Mix).mp3" target="_blank"><span style="color: #33cccc;">Mad Kids &#8211; Mumboi</span></a><span style="color: #33cccc;"> </span></p>

<p>The EP is soooo ready to drop, we&#8217;re just waiting on the distro turnaround. (For the <a href="http://www.scatterblog.com/blog/dirtybeats/" target="_self">full blurb and tracklist click here</a>, or on the image at the side of the blog). There&#8217;s definitely a level of excitement that has been floating around the Scatterblog camp surrounding this release. Every remix and original has really surprised and amazed us, and we feel like we&#8217;ve really raised the bar another step higher. From <em><strong><a href="http://www.myspace.com/freakydirtybeats" target="_blank">DirtyBeats&#8217;</a></strong></em> percussive, enormous House tunes to the <em><strong><a href="http://www.myspace.com/mrfrenchfries" target="_blank">French Fries</a></strong></em> Minimal journey, the hype as fuck <em><strong><a href="http://www.myspace.com/djtompiper" target="_blank">Tom Piper</a></strong></em> mix, the Tropical party vibes of <a href="http://www.myspace.com/iareswick" target="_blank"><em><strong>Swick&#8217;s</strong></em></a> remix or the Ghetto Hip Hop bang that is <a href="http://soundcloud.com/slapanddash" target="_blank"><em><strong>Slap &amp; Dash&#8217;s</strong></em></a> remix.</p>
<p>Before all that happens tho, check some tunes they&#8217;ve made recently&#8230;</p>
<p>The first tune is their remix of <em><strong>Crimen&#8217;s</strong></em> &#8220;Bass &amp; Diamonds&#8221; featuring <em><strong>Fresh Girls </strong></em>which is a more on a sorta 80s Miami Bass remixed 2010 kinda tip than their usual style. However the sound is still all there &#8211; the big bass, the blips the percussion, the dirty beats&#8230;</p>
<p><a href="http://scatterblog.com/tracks/Crimen%20-%20Bass%20&amp;%20Diamonds%20Ft.%20Fresh%20Girls%20(DirtyBeats%20Remix).mp3"><strong>Crimen &#8211; Bass &amp; Diamonds Ft. Fresh Girls (DirtyBeats Remix)</strong></a></p>
<p>The other tune is a lil bit older, their remix of <em><strong>Kohlbecker &amp; Eilmes&#8217;</strong></em> &#8220;Tabasco&#8221;, which samples the Godfather theme and has been flipped to house you.</p>
<p><a href="http://scatterblog.com/tracks/Kohlbecker%20&amp;%20Eilmes%20-%20Tabasco%20(DirtyBeats%20Remix).mp3"><strong>Kohlbecker &amp; Eilmes &#8211; Tabasco (DirtyBeats Remix)</strong></a></p>

<p><span style="color: #ffff00;">I&#8217;ve never done this before but hey, 2010 just seems to be kickin&#8217; off in mad fashion so I feel the need. Here is the official Lewis CanCut January chart presented in a top 5, Hi Fidelity style. Maybe the reason I&#8217;m so exited is that it&#8217;s local tracks that seem to be killin&#8217; it best right now. Makes sense, who better to produce for a Melbourne dance floor besides a Melbourne dj right? Anyway making it brief, the <a href="http://www.myspace.com/slapanddash"><span style="color: #00ff00;">Slap n Dash</span></a> drum dub of Ja&#8217; Maan! by <a href="http://www.myspace.com/edukfrenetiko"><span style="color: #00ff00;">Edu K</span></a> is doing wonders for me right now. It&#8217;s as if they&#8217;ve bottled up a little bit of the insane energy from their show and given it over for others to use. Also, recent Scattermusic addition <a href="http://www.myspace.com/iareswick" target="_blank"><span style="color: #00ff00;">Swick</span></a> has created a monster with his remix for the upcoming <a href="http://www.myspace.com/freakydirtybeats" target="_blank"><span style="color: #00ff00;">Dirty Beats</span></a> release, believe me it&#8217;ll be big. Whenever I play it people come to the decks asking &#8220;what kind of music is this&#8221;. </span></p>
<p><span style="color: #ffff00;"><br />
</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #ffff00;">Anyhow here it is, a January chart in strict order.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #33cccc;"><a href="http://www.scatterblog.com/blog/dirtybeats/" target="_blank"><span style="color: #33cccc;">1 &#8211; Dirty Beats &#8211; Alone In The Jungle (Swick remix)</span></a></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #33cccc;"><a href="http://scatterblog.com/tracks/Edu%20K%20-%20Ja%20Mann%20(Slap%20&amp;%20Dash%20Drum%20Dub).mp3" target="_blank"><span style="color: #33cccc;">2 &#8211; Edu K &#8211; Ja, Maan! (Slap n Dash drum dub)</span></a></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #33cccc;">3 &#8211; Dj Mouse &#8211; Amantes Del La Waracha</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #33cccc;"><a href="http://www.scatterblog.com/blog/2009/12/scm-003/" target="_blank"><span style="color: #33cccc;">4 &#8211; Edu K &#8211; Jumpin&#8217; n Pumpin (Wildlife remix)</span></a></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #33cccc;">5 &#8211; Lewis CanCut &#8211; Get Low (Spin Laden remix) </span></p>
<p><span style="color: #ffff00;">Of course I have to give a little something away so here&#8217;s the link for the Dj Mouse track. Take a good listen, this sound will be huge this year.</span></p>
<p><a href="http://www.mediafire.com/?tmyykhdjzmn" target="_blank"><span style="color: #33cccc;">Dj Mouse &#8211; Amantes Del La Waracha</span></a><a href="https://www.yousendit.com/download/RmNBclVNNDJ6NE9Ga1E9PQ" target="_blank"><span style="color: #33cccc;"> (ysi) </span></a></p>

<p><span style="color: #00ff00;">Well we just produced our own festival last week with the full help and support of the Espy. Now its time to rock someone elses. So chuffed about this one. Scatterblog Soundsytem has just been asked to headline the dj&#8217;s on the sat night at pretty much our favourite music festival in the country. For those of you not familiar <span style="color: #3366ff;"><a href="http://2010.goldenplains.com.au/">Golden Planes</a></span> is the little bro to <span style="color: #3366ff;"><a href="http://www.mmf.com.au/">Meredith Music Fest</a></span>. Both share the same venue and orginisational team, and both are always at the forefront of music culture. I did the same set in &#8216;07 for MMF and had pretty much the time of my life cant wait to share the stage this time with my boys. Im not sure what the deal is with tix for this one but it sells out every year to the point where u need to get on a ballot the year before. Check this years line-up <span style="color: #3366ff;"><a href="http://2010.goldenplains.com.au/whos-playing/">here</a></span>.<br />
</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #00ff00;">We will be rocking a crazy show with all 5 of the Scatterblog acts (Slap &amp; Dash, Scattermish, Mu-Gen, Mat Cant &amp; Lewis Cancut) playing together for 3 hrs. We have many a surprise up our sleeves including props, dancers, sets and all sorts of bat shit crazy stuff&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;.. Can u say EPIC!!!!!</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #00ff00;">I was going through some pics on my computer today and found the stage plot we sent through to the festival. Its piss funny, it looks like my 8yo niece drew it or som&#8217;n, spelling mistakes and all, but you can blame me for that one. As you can see we will be pumping some heavy duty sonic sound with all that gear on the night. </span></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-2018" title="scatterblog stage plot" src="http://www.scatterblog.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/scatterblog-stage-plot.jpg" alt="scatterblog stage plot" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p><span style="color: #00ff00;">Just thought I would share the pic along with a cheeky edit of the new Hollertronix Party Squad &#8220;Pull Up&#8221; <span style="color: #3366ff;"><a href="vhttps://www.beatport.com/en-US/html/content/release/detail/210934/hollertronix_10">(buy here)</a></span> I did a few months back. Not much done to the original except some more hype added and a few cut ups in the second drop. Plus I also attached the<a href="http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=0f6782dda49c74c45a3d773badf21430e04e75f6e8ebb871"> <span style="color: #3366ff;">Shaun D &#8220;Mad Drums&#8221;</span></a> joint on the tail of it for shows, you know, so i can bump straight into another blend.. It was made in like an hour so no hating on the lameness aight!</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #00ff00;"><span style="color: #000000;">.</span><br />

<p>The other two international guests to be featured tomorrow at Scatterfest are NASA and Mowgli &#8211; 1 has featured at an Scatterblog party earlier in the year, and the other has been a Scatterblog favourite since close to when we started out.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.myspace.com/nasa" target="_blank"><em><strong>NASA&#8217;s</strong></em></a> debut album &#8220;The Spirit Of Apollo&#8221; got all kindsa heads turning (i think they were also most talked about act of 2009 on <a href="http://hypem.com" target="_blank">hypem</a>?), featuring a whole range of big name vocalists. Their live show is filled with cut up and remashed music and visuals, some space costumes and accessories and a whole lotta hype &#8211; producing a huge individualistic and exciting show.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.facebook.com/pages/MOWGLI/26305874315" target="_blank"><em><strong>Mowgli</strong></em></a> on the other hand has been some1 who&#8217;s music Scatterblog has been in love with since <a href="http://www.scatterblog.com/blog/2007/07/fnd-a-btr-plce-4-rng/" target="_self">way</a> <a href="http://www.scatterblog.com/blog/2008/01/guest-spot-10-mowgli/" target="_self">back when</a>. His style has been ever evolving and he now really leads the market with his label <em>Deadfish</em> and their midget house sound.</p>
<p>Both of their shows will be explosive for totally different reasons. TONITE YO!</p>
<p><em>So there&#8217;s a last minute double double ticket giveaway! So i&#8217;ll make em easy.<br />
For one double pass, just answer what Mowgli&#8217;s alias is.<br />
For another, name 6 people that featured on NASA&#8217;s Spirit Of Apollo album.<br />
