The SCCLL SIS Grants Committee is very pleased to announce that the recipient of this year's Equal Justice Grant is Joan Bellistri, Law Librarian at the Anne Arundel County Public Law Library in Annapolis, Maryland. Joan is a past president of the Law Library Association of Maryland (LLAM) and is currently serving as a member of the SCCLL Executive Board and as AALL's Representative to the National Center for State Courts.

As Douglas Hofstedt, Court Administrator for the Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County, stated in his letter of recommendation for Joan, "Our law librarian, Joan Bellistri, has been instrumental in expanding the court's ability to provide service to self represented litigants. ... I can recommend that Joan Bellistri receive the SCCLL grant to attend the EJC because I know that she will continue to contribute to court programs and to the law library profession and AALL in the area of service to the self represented and the support of pro bono programs."

Congratulations Joan!<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/sccll_updates/~4/Uz51NxG-zSE" height="1" width="1"/>
