Attention SCCLL Members! The Awards Committee is seeking nominations for the 2010 Law Library Advocate Award. This award is presented to a Law Library Supporter in recognition of his or her substantial contribution towards the advancement and improvement of a State, Court or County law library's service or visibility. Has someone, a judge, trustee, legislator, or other advocated on behalf of you library in this way and deserves recognition? Nominate them! The form is available on the SCCLL website and may be submitted to any member of the Awards Committee. The deadline for nominations is March 5, 2010.

The 2010 Connie E. Bolden Publications Award

Attention SCCLL Members! The Awards Committee is seeking nominations for the 2010 Connie E. Bolden Publications Award. This award is presented to a State, Court and County Law Libraries Special Interest Section member to recognize a scholarly publication produced sometime within the last two years. Has someone in your library or a colleague in another library written a work that you feel is outstanding and should be recognized? Nominate them! The form is available on the SCCLL website and may be submitted to any member of the Awards Committee. The deadline for nominations is March 5, 2010.

Call for Executive Board Nominees

SCCLL Silent Auction Raises $2026; Challenge Donations Accepted

We raised $2026 for our Grants Program in Sunday's Silent Auction. Thank you to everyone who donated items and everyone who bid on them. We are still accepting cash donations (made out to AALL and designated to SCCLL Silent Auction). Send your donation to AALL Headquarters indicating that it is for the SCCLL SIS Silent Auction. SCCLL-SIS Chair Anne Matthewman is challenging someone to match her $100 donation - she will double her donation when the challenge is met. Last year's spontaneous post-meeting donation challenge raised about $2,500. Can we top that?

SCCLL's unique newsletter archive now online

The SCCLL Newsletter archive is now complete back to 1974, which is the oldest newsletter available online of any SIS. Thanks to copies of the newsletters from the University of Washington and Stanislaus (CA) County Law Library, we now have 89 issues on our site giving us a complete history of our section back to the beginning.
