Hi. I've had the same problem with Ricoh Nashuatec DSm415 and Windows7 x64. All workstations with Windows 7 had no problem with installing network printer and with saving changes except one. The workaround mentioned above didn't worked.

With a little help from the Sysinternals Tools I have found the registry key responsible for keeping network printer preferences is under HKCU\Printers\Connections\”Printer name” . That key contains binary value named DevMode .

On other workstation with Win 7 OS and printer already installed I’ve changed user code for one assigned to machine with saving failure, exported the registry key and execute it on the workstation with saving failure. Although the user code did not apear in user code box in preferences, network printing and accounting is working.

I crossed your website by chance because I was looking up a quote, "Never let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game." I was impressed with your site, as a graphic designer, and commend you for some of the posts I've read. I am fascinated by your story and with you luck with your future.

"A union between a male and female produces life, children. And its been the definition of marriage."

Who says they all have the ability to pro-create? What if men are fixed or the women doesn't have a womb that can support another being. They would have to adopt, correct? So they would, in a way, be bringing another life into this world.
Therefore, what is the difference if two men adopt or two women. They are still "bringing life into this world."

Am I wrong?

Three plus years later and there are two things that I should report.

1 - Major annoyance - Rust seems to _grow_ out of the area under the water catch tray/basin (under the dispenser). We try really hard to keep the basin clean and dry and even went to an extreme for a few months to run without the tray in place so we always knew it was dry. The area underneath that is always rusting, so much so that the rust literally grows out of the seam. My best guess is that water is getting into the middle of the door and rusting out the seam below. This is really unfortunate and annoying.

2. Minor for us - The ice maker is constantly stuck on cubed or crushed. It probably started a year ago. For a while we could only get crushed, regardless of the mode it was set to. Then it would only give us cubed for a while and it has since been stuck on crushed. I'm not talking about how long it takes to change from one mode to another, that seems to be another issue altogether, but ours is literally stuck in crushed mode even if left in cubed mode for months on end.

We have had our RFG297AARS for over three years. Brought it at Lowes in Florida and shipped it to Bermuda. It works wonderfully. Ice is a little slow but it makes plenty. only problem is that it collects water under the bottom pull out tray which has to be vacuumed out. A little bothersome but not a major problem. Would like a fix though.
