not consider any late, lost, misdirected, illegible or incomplete applications.

All information contained in the application must be complete, true and verifiable
and otherwise meet all eligibility requirements of the Program. Any application
containing false or intentionally or materially misleading information shall be
                    disqualified.

Upon submission, all entries become the property of the Scholarship Partners and
will not be returned to the applicant.

To the extent the application contains an essay; such essay must have been written
solely by the applicant. Furthermore, the essay cannot defame or invade the publicity
rights or the privacy of any person, living or dead, or otherwise infringe upon
any person’s personal or proprietary rights. The essay may not be offensive or inappropriate,
as determined by the judges in their sole and absolute discretion. The Program Sponsor
reserves, in its sole and absolute discretion, the right to disqualify any application
it deems to be inappropriate, offensive or is not in keeping with the Program Sponsor’s
                    image.

By submitting an application, the applicant (or, if the applicant is a Minor then,
the Minor’s parent or legal guardian) acknowledges and agrees that the Program Sponsor
shall own the submitted application (and all information contained in the application)
and that the Scholarship Partners may use, including as part of scholarship publicity
campaigns, at their sole and absolute discretion, the application (or any portion
of the application), including, without limitation, the names, ADHD diagnosis and
likenesses of the applicant, or the content of the essay, in any manner and in any
medium or form, whether now known or not currently known, throughout the world in
perpetuity without compensation, permission or notification to the applicant or
                    any third party.

A recipient may decline to participate in any publicity campaign related to being
awarded a Scholarship; in such a case, the recipient’s city and state will be used
to identify the recipient. However such a request shall have no effect on the Scholarship
Partners’ ownership of the scholarship applications as otherwise provided for in
                    these Rules and Regulations.

Any application which attempts to restrict or otherwise limit the Scholarship Partners’
right to use the application or any portion of the application shall be deemed to
                    have been withdrawn.
for 2012-2013: one to a journalist from the United States and one to a
non-U.S. citizen. During their Nieman year, the Global Health fellows
will be part of the Nieman Class of 2013 and will participate in weekly
activities at the Nieman Foundation. They will have the opportunity to
study at Harvard’s School of Public Health and will have access to faculty and courses across the university through the Harvard Initiative for Global Health.
At
the conclusion of their year at Harvard, the global health reporting
fellows will begin three four months of journalistic fieldwork in a
developing nation. The fieldwork is intended to provide an intensive
learning and reporting experience in countries where the most pressing
issues in global health exist. At the conclusion of the fieldwork, the
fellows will be expected to produce a body of work that might include
stories for publication, a case study focusing on the complex issues in
global health journalism or a handbook of best practices related to reporting on health in a developing nation.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR THE NIEMAN FELLOWSHIP IN GLOBAL HEALTH REPORTING?
Candidates nominate themselves by submitting an application and supporting materials. There is no age limit and no educational prerequisite for a Nieman Fellowship in Global Health Reporting.

One fellowship will be awarded to a citizen of the United States and
one to a non-U.S. citizen. If you have questions about eligibility,
please contact Stefanie Friedhoff by e-mail at
stefanie_friedhoff@harvard.edu

You must be fluent in speaking, reading and writing English.

You must have five or more years of full-time or freelance professional
journalism experience in the news media. Work you have done as a
university student or for a nongovernmental or governmental organization
will not count toward fulfilling this requirement.

Your
professional experience must be with the news or editorial departments
of newspapers, wire services, radio or television stations or networks,
online publications or magazines of general interest. We will not
consider candidates from public relations or organizations that do not produce general-interest news.

Your employer must grant you a leave of absence for the academic year
at Harvard and the three to four-month field work experience, a total of
13-14 months. Your employer also must state the intent of your news
organization to use, as much as practical, your skills and knowledge in
the coverage of global health when you return to work.

WHAT IS THE DEADLINE FOR APPLYING?
All of your application materials, including letters of recommendation,
must be sent to the address at the bottom of this page and must be
postmarked on or before January 31, 2012.
The Nieman Foundation cannot pay customs fees or other shipping charges for your application materials.
You can avoid these costs by using the online application. If you are
mailing your application from outside the United States, please consider
the length of time it takes mail from your country to reach the U.S.
If
any of the information related to your application changes after you
have submitted it, please notify us immediately by e-mail at
stefanie_friedhoff@harvard.edu
Send all application materials to:
Class of 2013 Global Health Fellowship
Nieman Foundation for Journalism at Harvard
One Francis Avenue
Cambridge MA 02138-2009
USA
WHAT WORK SAMPLES SHOULD I SEND WITH MY APPLICATION?
Send samples that best illustrate your interests and abilities. Your
samples must have been published or aired between Jan. 1, 2011, and Jan.
31, 2012. You may submit one sample from before Jan. 1, 2011, as a
substitute for one required sample. (Note the exception below for
documentary filmmakers.) If you routinely work in more than one medium,
you may submit samples from each as long as you follow the guidelines
below.
If your work samples are not in English, please include a
summary of their contents in English. Your supporting statements and
synopses must also be in English.
All printed samples, summaries
and synopses must be formatted to fit 8 1/2” x 11” (21.5 x 28
centimeters) sheets of paper. Write your name in the upper right corner
of every item you submit (or on the backs of photographs). Do not send
complete newspapers or magazines, books, scrapbooks, unpublished
manuscripts, works-in-progress, irreplaceable material, elaborate
presentations (for example, spiral bindings or report covers) or
“creative” displays such as video presentations of still photographs. We
will not accept work that does not meet these criteria.
Please
clearly date all your samples and do not send more than the requested
number. We cannot return any submitted material, so make copies of
everything you send.
Broadcast Journalists (Note: If in English, submit a DVD/CD totaling 30 minutes with a synopsis)

Radio and Television: Submit a written synopsis of five
stories that are representative of your work with a brief description
of your involvement in each story — for example, producing and editing.

Documentary:
Submit a written synopsis of your work samples and a brief description
of your involvement with the works — for example, writing the script and
directing. Your samples must have been broadcast or shown in a public
venue in the past two years.

Print Journalists

Writers:
Submit samples of five different published works. (Each byline counts
as one sample.) If you send stories from a series, include a brief
outline of the other stories in the series.

Editors:
Submit a statement describing your job. (This is in addition to your
two essays.) You may include copies of published work along with a
description of your role in these samples. For published work, follow
the instructions for writers.

Photographers:
Submit a portfolio with eight samples of your work: original prints,
tear sheets or a combination of both. Photographs must be 8” x 10” (20.5
x 25.5 centimeters) and may be black and white or color. Do not mount
your photos.

Online Journalists: Submit
samples equivalent to five print articles or 30 minutes of programming,
along with a statement describing your job, your involvement with each
sample and whether each was created for the Web or adapted from another
media format. (Your statement is in addition to your two essays.) Your
samples must be journalistic in nature and demonstrate that your job
involves news gathering, writing, editing or producing.
WHAT MUST MY APPLICATION INCLUDE?

Write your name in the upper right corner of all items you submit as part of your application.

Complete, date and sign pages 6 through 9 of this application form.

Include work samples as described on page 3 of this application.

Write two essays:

One personal statement of 1,000 words or less that describes your journalistic experience, career plans and aspirations

One proposal for study at Harvard of 1,000 words or less. Include in
this proposal your ideas for subjects or fields of concentration in
global health and how you anticipate using in your journalistic work the
knowledge you gain during your Nieman year and fourmonth practicum. You
do not need to list specific course titles and you also should not
submit a plan for the fieldwork phase of the fellowship. Global Health
reporting fellows will develop their plan during the Nieman year with
guidance from the Nieman Foundation.

These essays
are critical to your application. The Selection Committee will carefully
evaluate them to understand your accomplishments, your potential and
your commitment to covering global health. We are particularly
interested in examples and details that show you have a significant
capacity for growth and leadership
as a journalist. We also want to know specifically how an academic year
at Harvard and four months of fieldwork in a developing country will
improve your work as a journalist covering global health.
We also require four confidential letters of recommendation:

Two from people familiar with your work who can comment on your journalistic abilities and potential.

One from your immediate supervisor commenting on your qualifications for this fellowship.

One from your news organization’s publisher, editor, manager or
director supporting your application and granting you a 14-month leave
of absence if you are awarded a fellowship. Please tell the person who
writes this letter that it must include an expression of intent
to use, as much as practical, the skills and knowledge you develop in
covering global health issues when you return to work.

Freelance journalists should have four people familiar with their work write letters.
Please
ask the individuals who write letters to tell us specifically how your
abilities and experience make you an outstanding candidate for a Nieman
Fellowship in Global Health Reporting. Letters of recommendation should
be mailed directly to the Nieman Foundation at the address at the bottom of page 2 in time to receive a postmark on or before January 31, 2012.
FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR NIEMAN FELLOWS IN GLOBAL HEALTH REPORTING
Nieman Fellows in Global Health Reporting will receive a maximum
stipend of $78,000 over a period of 13 months (less if fieldwork is only
3 months), September 2012 through September 2013, at $6,000 per month.
The first nine months will be spent studying at Harvard and the last
three to four months will be spent doing fieldwork in a developing
country. During the nine-month period at Harvard, families are invited
to participate and a housing allowance and childcare supplement will be
provided. Costs for attending classes at Harvard are also covered for
fellows and affiliates.
through daily life in Japan. Consequently, the students can make their
best efforts in their respective fields so as to contribute to the
development of Indonesia after finishing their studies in Japan, calling
upon their experience of living and studying in Japan.

to Cambridge residents who wish to pursue post secondary education.
Through this program, the City has awarded thousands of dollars to
college-bound high school seniors and others who want to pursue higher
education. Scholarships are possible thanks to the generosity of
Cambridge residents, businesses and taxpayers who support the annual
fund. In FY2011, the City awarded 45 scholarships of $2,500 each. With
increasing costs of higher education and continued economic uncertainty,
the scholarships help ease financial burdens for many Cambridge
residents.
Applications may be obtained at Cambridge Public Schools,
Cambridge Public Library and all branches, and at Cambridge City Hall.
Interested residents may also download the application from the useful
links section of the City’s Website, www.cambridgema.gov.
The majority of the form can be completed online, although applicants
must print out the application to obtain appropriate signatures before
submitting it for consideration. The deadline for the FY12 scholarship
application, and all supporting documentation, is March 5, 2012.
Our mission to lead the investment profession globally by setting the

stewards of the world's investment markets.
CFA Program scholarships contribute to the vision of serving the
interests of investors and society by promoting awareness of CFA
Institute programs and by providing access to those programs to
individuals who would otherwise be unable to afford full price.

Upcoming Changes to the CFA Institute Scholarship Program
During 2012, CFA Institute will undergo a transition to a new
scholarship structure that offers two types of scholarships for
individuals pursuing the CFA Program: Awareness and Access.
Access Scholarships - Available for 2013 Exams
In January 2012, CFA Institute will be making a needs-based
scholarship opportunity available for those unable to afford the full
price of the CFA Program enrollment and registration fees. In
collaboration with our member societies around the world, Access
Scholarships will be awarded beginning with the 2013 exam cycle.

Applications for the 2013 exam cycle will be available on or before 1 February 2012.

Applications for the 2013 exam cycle will be accepted from the day they become available through June 2012.

Up to 2,500 scholarships will be awarded to CFA Program applicants each calendar year.

Access scholarship awards reduce CFA Program enrollment and exam
registration fees to $250, including the CFA Program eBook.
(Scholarship candidates are responsible for any additional costs for
substituting or adding the print option, including curriculum and shipping costs plus any applicable taxes and import duties.)

If you receive a scholarship, you must register and sit for the exam
in the relevant exam year awarded or you will be ineligible for future
Access Scholarships. In cases where a candidate's financial situation
changes, Access Scholarship applicants can withdraw their application
from consideration before 1 September of the year in which they submit
their application.
Access Scholarship Rules (PDF)

Awareness Scholarships

exam registration fees to $350, including the CFA Program eBook.

CFA Program College Faculty Scholarships: These scholarships will continue to be available for all full-time college or university finance professors.

CFA Program College Student Scholarships:

be awarded by finance faculty who hold the CFA charter. CFA Institute is

Truman Scholarship

What:
A scholarship for up to four years of graduate study in
public service fields. Established by Congress, the Harry S. Truman
Foundation's grants begin during senior year for students who intend
careers in government or public service. Additionally, the Foundation
provides assistance with career counseling, internship placement,
graduate school admissions, and professional development.

Who is eligible:
You must be a junior pursuing a bachelor's degree on a
full-time basis; have a B average and be in the upper fourth of your
class; be a U.S. citizen or a U.S. national; have selected a major that
will permit admission to a graduate program leading to a career in
government or public service at the federal, state, or municipal level;
and have demonstrated an interest in such a career.

           Selection Procedure:
Submit applications to the SOP, which will convene a faculty
screening panel to nominate up to four candidates. Semifinalists are
selected nationally from university nominations, and are interviewed by
Regional Review Panels composed of scholars and public officials.
Each Panel recommends two people per state, plus up to six candidates
for
Scholars-at-Large.

In 2012, the Foundation will select 60-65 Truman Scholars from among
over 600 applications forwarded by over 50 colleges and universities.
Winners were chosen by 15 selection panels on the basis of leadership
potential, intellectual ability, and the likelihood of "making a
difference." Each panel typically included a university president, a
federal judge, a distinguished public servant, and a past Truman
Scholarship winner.

Deadline: UCI 12/3/2012 (Optional Review - Projected)

Deadline: UCI 1/9/2012 (Due to SOP)

Who wins:
According to the Executive Director of the Truman Foundation,
applicants selected for interview "show a long history of
involvement in what the program seeks to reward (public
service and government activities), have exerted leadership,
have fine academic achievements, reveal some unique and
interesting (preferably memorable) aspects about themselves
and their experiences, provide a graduate school proposal
that makes sense, prepare a carefully thought out and
well-researched public policy analysis," write well, and
have strong letters of reference. The Director's detailed
description of the qualities that distinguish successful
applications and interviews are available in the SOP office.

Many winners major in economics, political science, or
history. However, students in a wide range of majors may
be strong candidates because a wide variety of disciplines
prepare students for careers in public service. Students
majoring in such fields as chemistry, engineering, environmental
studies, foreign languages, mathematics, and computer sciences
(among others) are encouraged to apply.

UCI student Mukul Kumar received a Truman Scholarship in 2006. In 2005,
Vanessa Zuabi was declared a finalist. In 2004, Jacqueline
Chattopadhyay received a Truman Scholarship. You may view their
applications - as well as those of previous UCI Truman Scholars - in the
SOP office.

Finances:
Up to $30,000: $3,000 for the senior year and up to $27,000 a year for three years of graduate study.

Comments:
An outstanding and highly prestigious scholarship for students who intend a career in public service.

The application includes an analysis of a public policy issue or problem
in the form of a memo to the officeholder you feel could do the most
to resolve the issue. It also includes a statement of interest in a
career in government or public service that shows how your educational
plans will prepare you for that career, and three letters of
recommendation.

A scholarship for one year's study or research abroad.
Scholarships are available in 140 countries. The award was established
by Congress after World War II to promote international understanding.

Awards are also available to teach English overseas. English Teaching
Assistantships (ETAs) exist in 69 countries, in all world regions. Here
is a complete list of countries where ETAs are available and statistics on the success rates of applications to these countries in the 2011-12 competition.

Please note that there are now 50 ETA positions in Malaysia and 20 in Bulgaria.

Who is eligible:
Undergraduates who are U.S. citizens. Begin the process
during the spring before your final year on campus by submitting a
Pre-Application. See SELECTION PROCEDURE section of page for more
information.

If you win the scholarship, you will travel shortly after having
graduated. (Fulbright states candidates must hold a bachelor's degree by
the time of travel. However, you do NOT need to have earned a
bachelor's degree by the time you apply.) Current seniors or recent UCI
alumni may also apply.

Applicants who apply to use Fulbright funds for study/research in a
country where English is not used should have enough proficiency in the
written and spoken language of the host country to carry out their
proposed study.

Preference is given to applicants who have received most of their high
school and college education in the U.S.

Selection Procedure:
The first step in applying is completing a Pre-Application.
To begin the campus process, submit your completed Pre-Application to
the SOP office by April 4, 2012. After SOP staff receives it, we will
meet with you to discuss the next steps. Also review the Application Process Overview that explains all steps in UCI's scholarship application process.

Subscribe to Fulbright's Student Applicant Blog.
It focuses on specific world region/country program issues and contains
articles written by Fulbright program managers and former and current
Fulbright students. The blog also includes all program updates and
provides tips for completing the application. Candidates can also
listen to podcasts.

After completing the Pre-App and meeting with SOP staff to discuss your
candidacy, you will work on the formal application. Your supporting
documents, including three faculty letters of recommendation will be due
this summer.

Letters should be written to the attention of the "Fulbright Scholarship
Selection Committee" and be specifically tailored toward your
application as a Fulbright Scholar. Students may hand deliver the
letters in signed, sealed envelopes or referees may submit them to the
SOP directly.

The Fulbright Program will NOT accept research grant-formatted reference
letters for ETA applicants; writers must submit the ETA-designated
reference form. Fulbright also requires that these ETA reference forms
be submitted in hard copy, after the recommender has filled them out
online, to the SOP office for inclusion in official, campus-sanctioned
application packages. Once your recommenders have completed the
reference form, they can print the PDF form and provide a copy to the
applicant in a sealed envelope.

The UCI Fulbright committee will interview candidates to determine
whether their applications have earned campus endorsement. The
University will endorse those candidates the Committee feels have the
potential to be Fulbright Scholars and will offer feedback for refining
the application.

SOP staff and the office of the Dean of the Division of Undergraduate
Education will write comprehensive nomination letters for each endorsed
candidate and will send your complete application materials (including
reference letters) and the nomination letter to the Institute of
International Education, which administers the awards.

Finalists will be notified early in 2013, and winners announced in late spring.

Deadline: Pre-Application 4/9/2012 (Due to SOP)

Who wins:
Winning seniors have strong academic records, good language
preparation for the country intended, and a feasible study project. They
make a persuasive case for why they would benefit from study in a
particular country and/or at a particular university. To make that case,
talk to a professor who has been there, and read catalogues of
appropriate universities (available in the library and the Center for
International Education). Odds are improved by applying to countries
with comparatively low ratios of applicants to slots; in particular, consider destinations other than the United Kingdom. Individuals who have spent a year abroad in a university program are considered to be desirable candidates.

Of the 5,442 undergraduate and graduate students who applied for
Fulbright Fellowships throughout the world during the 2010-2011
competition, approximately 1,061 received funding.

In 2010,
UCI's Andrea Bishop, Jason Molina, Mark Sueyoshi, and Michelle Tsai
received Fulbrights. Long-Co Nguyen was an alternate while Elaine Chou
and Shea Horgan were finalists. In 2011, Curtis Brown, Jenna Otter,
Emily Tsay, Liane Grant,
Kristine Fuangtharnthip, and Boris Wong were finalists for Fulbrights.

Finances:
These awards vary by country; they reflect both the cost of
living and the length of the academic year in the country. Grants
generally provide round-trip transportation, language or orientation
courses (where appropriate), tuition, books, maintenance for the
academic year based on living costs in the host country, and health and
accident insurance. Specific information concerning finances for each
country is included in the annual Fulbright booklet, available for
review in the Undergraduate and Graduate Studies offices.

Comments:
Fulbrights are prestigious, career-enhancing awards. They
also confer special status on winners during their year of foreign
study, as outstanding, officially recognized representatives of their
country. Famous Fulbright recipients include Thomas Pickering, John
Lithgow, and Renee Fleming. Most grantees plan their own programs.
Projects may include university coursework, independent library or field
research, classes in a music conservatory or art school, special
projects in the social or life sciences, or a combination of such plans.

highest standards of ethics, education, and professional excellence,
includes offering educational opportunities to current and future
stewards of the world's investment markets.
CFA Program scholarships contribute to the vision of serving the
interests of investors and society by promoting awareness of CFA
Institute programs and by providing access to those programs to
individuals who would otherwise be unable to afford full price.

CFA Program Scholarships for 2012
The current CFA Institute Scholarship Program remains in effect for the 2012 exam cycle.

The application deadline for the June 2012 exam scholarships is 1 February 2012.

2012 CFA Program College Faculty Scholarship

2012 CFA Program College Student Scholarship

2012 CFA Institute Member Society Scholarship

The December 2012 scholarship applications will be available on or before 1 March 2012.

Awareness scholarship awards will reduce CFA Program enrollment and
exam registration fees to $350, including the CFA Program eBook.
(Scholarship candidates are responsible for any additional costs for
substituting or adding the print option, including curriculum and shipping costs plus any applicable taxes and import duties.)

CFA Program College Faculty Scholarships: These scholarships will continue to be available for all full-time college or university finance professors.

CFA Program College Student Scholarships:
Through the June 2013 examination, these scholarships will continue to
be awarded by finance faculty who hold the CFA charter. CFA Institute is
also introducing a new recognition program for academic institutions
that align their curriculum with the CFA Program curriculum, and after
June 2013, all student scholarships will be awarded through CFA Program

This year, the Foreign Commonwealth Office is also offering Cambridge
Chevening Scholarships for study at the prestigious Cambridge
University, to find out more, please check below.
Introduction to Chevening Scholarships
The Chevening Scholarships programme started in
1984. It was originally called the Foreign and Commonwealth Office
Scholarships and Awards Scheme. A few years later the name was changed
to Chevening - after Chevening House in the Sevenoaks District of Kent, which is currently the joint official residence of the Foreign Secretary and the Deputy Prime Minister.
Chevening Scholarships are for talented people who have been
identified as potential future leaders across a wide range of fields
including politics, business, the media, civil society, and academia.
Most scholars undertake a one year master’s degree.
In the current academic year, there are over 500 Chevening scholars
at universities across the UK. The programme is mainly funded by the
Foreign and Commonwealth Office, with some contributions from Higher
Education Institutions and other partners in the UK.
Filipino, Marshallese, Micronesian and Palauan candidates are
selected by the British Embassy in Manila. The scheme is managed by the
British Council Philippines.

HO SHOULD APPLY?

Chevening Scholarships are for high calibre graduates with
the personal, intellectual and interpersonal qualities necessary for
leadership. Applicants should be:

Motivated to make a career that will take them to positions of
leadership in their own country within ten years of their scholarship

Able to use their studies and experience in the UK to benefit themselves, their countries and the UK

Natural influencers and talented communicators, with energy and ambition

People who value networking and who can demonstrate the value of
networks to their studies, and to bringing about change on a global
level

Intelligent, with demonstrable academic potential

Strong characters with integrity, drive, and the ability to work independently

The British Chevening Scholarship Award usually covers Master's
degree programmes at universities in the United Kingdom with a duration
of one year. Occassionally, the award is also given for shorter course
or for research attachments that lasts from three to six month. They are
not granted for more than a year of study.
There are Master's degree programmes that may last for more than one
year. In such cases, the scholarship programme will only cover the first
year of study.
Courses not covered by the programme

Secondary education

Undergraduate degree

Doctoral degree

National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ)

Military training

Part-time courses

Distance learning courses

Courses of less than three months or twelve weeks duration

Chevening scholarships are prestigious awards and highly sought after

demonstrate that they possess the personal, intellectual and
interpersonal attributes reflecting this potential.
European Commission within the Erasmus Mundus programme for its editions
2007-2009 until 2011-2013.

This period of financial support is now over. Therefore, the ME3
programme does not beneficiate from Erasmus Mundus scholarships for its
2012-2014 edition.

However, ME3 has been evaluated by the European Commission as a
programme of excellence, and therefore ME3 keeps the Erasmus Mundus label to attest this.
The ME3 consortium will offer a few excellence scholarships for the edition 2012-2014. These scholarships will be awarded to the best applicants (based on criteria presented here) who will have submitted their application before the 31st of January 2012.
31st of January is the deadline as date of receipt for your
application. The receipt is automatic when you submit online, while the
delay can be longer than expected by regular mail. So we encourage you
to submit your application online.
The results for the Excellence Scholarships will be
announced by email to all the applicants having submitted their
applications before the 31st of January 2012. The announcement will be
made by the end of March 2012.
The Excellence Scholarships are equivalent to a 50% discount on the tuition fees (i.e. 9000€).
For the applicants selected, this will be directly deducted from the
tuition fees to be paid. It does not cover the living expenses.
Be aware that the number of applications for ME3 is very large, while
the number of available excellence scholarships is, unfortunately,
quite small.
We strongly recommend that you look for possible alternate funding. (see more information here)
qualified students to participate in the MEME programme. The selection
procedure for these scholarships will be carried out by the Admission
and Examination Committee of the MEME programme. Each year, a maximum of
18 scholarships will be awarded to participating students; for instance
in 2011 there were 9 scholarships for category A students and 8 scholarships for category B students. Because of an EU initiative named “Western Balkans and Turkey Window”, we were able to award one additional scholarships
to students from the following countries: Albania, Bosnia and
Herzegovina, Croatia, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia,
Montenegro, Serbia, Kosovo, Croatia and Turkey. This scholarship was
awarded as a category A scholarships.
Scholarships for both categories of students will
cover all participation costs for the MEME programme, including tuition
fee, insurance, language courses and summer schools. In addition,
scholarships include the following:

Category A scholarships: A monthly allowance of € 1,000 and a yearly contribution to travel and installation costs of € 4,000.

Category B scholarships: A monthly allowance of € 500 and a yearly contribution to travel and installation costs of € 1,500.

The EU requires that we maintain a geographical balance of admitted
students that receive a scholarship: no more than two students from a
single country may receive a scholarship for the MEME programme.
Prospective students can apply for scholarships here

Please note the deadline: January 15th, 2012 at 12 am CET (Central
European Time). For more information about this Erasmus Mundus
scholarship, please go to this link.

Study Abroad in Japan: Bridging Scholarships

The Bridging Project offers scholarships to

opened APU in April 2000 as Japan’s first genuine international
university. The APU campus is a truly multicultural and multilingual
environment with nearly half of the student population made up of
international students from approximately 90 different countries around
the world and an equally diverse faculty. With a mission to develop
graduates who can shape the future of the Asia Pacific Region, the
University has developed colleges and graduate schools focusing on Asia
Pacific Studies with study options towards tackling the complex issues
facing the societies and environments of the Asia Pacific region, and
International Management providing study options focusing on the dynamic
and multinational world of international business. In this vibrant and
multicultural campus environment, students and academic staff work
together to overcome the barriers of race, religion and culture towards a
greater level of mutual understanding.

APU offers outstanding international students various scholarships that
can help to reduce the financial burden. These scholarships can be
applied for during the application process, and are Tuition Reduction
Scholarships. The Tuition Reduction Scholarships are awarded to students
for the purpose of supporting the idea of educating international youth
so as to promote peace and international understanding. This
scholarship lasts for the entire period of your study, as long as the
students follow the conditions of maintaining the scholarship. Even
after enrolling at APU, the APU Student Office will keep informing you
of other scholarships available in the case you would like to apply for
them.

The Tuition Reduction Scholarships range from 30% to 100% reduction. The
Tuition Reduction Scholarship is mainly based on the scholarship
application essay. Other factors that affect the admissions score can be
academic results, language proficiency and your interview results. The
results for what percentage of Tuition Reduction you will receive will
be announced together with your admissions results

PhD Scholarships in Cloud Computing and Service Computing

PhD Scholarships in Cloud Computing and Service Computing (with UNSW and
CSIRO ICT Center)
