This scheme extends the provision of tuition fee scholarships beyond the Department of Innovation, Industry, Science and Research allocated International Postgraduate Research Scholarships1 (IPRS).&lt;br /&gt;

Austin Henry Alabaster, Esq, who died in 1920, bequested to the University of Canterbury an endowment for scholarships in classical literature in memory of his father, the Reverend Charles Alabaster.&lt;br /&gt;

Two scholarships are offered annually to matriculated and undergraduate students of the University of Canterbury or, under special conditions, a scholarship may be offered to a graduate.&lt;br /&gt;
