EFCC Arrest Student For Defrauding A Briton Of N20m Internet Love Scam

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC have apprehended a 21-year-old student, Obiechina Chikeluba, for allegedly defrauding a Briton of N20 million in an internet romance scam.

Myschoolboard Team gathered that, Chikeluba, is a student of Federal Science and Technical College, Yaba, Lagos.

Our correspondent learnt that Chikeluba was said to have met his victim, Kieran Oakes, on Facebook.

It was reported that the suspect, assuming the profile of an American, Lisa Jackson, entered into a relationship with Oakes, with the pair agreeing to get married. The American lady who believed she had found love in the arms of the Nigerian student would by now, be ruing her gullibility when the student fleeced her of the sum of £54,000 (N20 millon), money she transferred to him to ensure he moves to the UK to join her.

In a release by the Media and Publicity Unit of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, through the head of the unit, Wilson Uwujaren, said the victim, after endless wait for her supposed fiancé, it dawned on her that she may have been duped, and reportediy sent petitioned to the anti-graft agency and they swung into action and apprehend the suspect while he was attempting to collect a parcel sent to him.

“He will appear in court as soon as investigation is concluded,” he stated.

Date Of JAMB UTME CBT 2015 Examination

THE Joint Admission and Matriculation board (JAMB) and the Unified Tertiary and Matriculation Examinations (UTME) board, has officially address and release the date for the 2015 jamb cbt Examination.

According to information on our educational news publishing desk, the board wishes to notify all candidates that would be partaking in the 2015/2016 Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination (UTME) that the date for the examination is out, and that this time around, the Management board of JAMB has officially announced the 2015 JAMB UTME examination date.

A press release by the Registrar of JAMB, Professor Dibu Ojerinde, disclosed that the previous paper-pencil test (PPT) and dual based test (DBT) have been canceled, and that the 2015 JAMB UTME would be purely computer Base test (CBT).

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) authorities also wish to use the myschoolboard news platform, to reach out to all the 1.4 Million students participating in the examination, that the re-printing of their registration slip to access their examination dates and centres has already commence since on Monday, the 2nd of March, 2015.

All candidates who registered for the examination can get the slip with any of the two documents:
Registration Numbers,
Scratch card PIN.
