today we started our very own 2012 Motorcycle season with the Launch of a new helmet:
The S2 is the successor of the famous S1Pro and a real Allrounder featuring very unique characteristics:
Built-in Sun-Visor, Built-in Antenna for Communication system and a very special ventilation system.

It´s 2012, it´s 47 days to the first race and our race mechancis are busy getting all the helmets ready. Today one of them stopped by and we made the final adjustments on his helmet. We´re glad he´s back in a regular driver seat this year: Nico Hülkenberg who will race with Sahara Force India in the 2012 season.

We hadn´t much time to shot the helmet properly, but here are the first shots of his 2012 design:

Felipe Massa in Interlagos: 100th GP for Scuderia Ferrari, 10th year F1

This weekend Felipe Massa will drive his 100th Grand Prix for Ferrari and his celebrate his 10th year in Formula-1.
For us this is a chance to honor him and celebrate with him: with a sepcial helmet design.

Not only since his accident in Hungary in 2009, Felipe and Schuberth have a very special partnership and as he received his new helmet this morning he promised to reserve a very special place for this helmet in his collection.

Some of you might have already seen it – we´re rebuilding our Global Website ! Since last week we continously publsih new and redesigned areas of our Website http://www.schuberth.com. We´re starting with the global website but will also rebuild our NorthAmerican Website soon, and you´ll be able to see more features, more content and interesting insights into the Schuberth company.

In the upcoming days we´d like to introduce some new Areas of the Website in-detail and today we start a mini-series on our Weblog with an Interview-Series about the SR1:

Shooting the SR1-Movie at the IDM

Last weekend at the last IDM-Race we attended Stefan Nebel and the KTM-Team to shoot some real Superbike-Racing-footage.

The footage is part of many videos and interviews and will be introduced on our new website, which will launch in following months.

Especially the 3 on-board cameras produced really amazing pictures !

Till then we wanted to give you an impression of two interesting days behind the scenes with this foto-set starring Stefan Nebel, Arie Voss and Filip Backlund !

Schuberth now official partner of FIA “Action for Road Safety”

We gladly announce that we became an official partner of the FIA’s Action for Road Safety campaign
The FIA’s Action for Road Safety is a global campaign, which focuses the federation’s resources on helping its member clubs around the globe to educate and advocate for safer roads, vehicles and behaviours. We will use our knowledge and expertise to support the FIA campaign.

At the FIA Formula 1 Grand Prix in Spa our CEO Marcel Lejeune presented the Formula 1 helmet SF1 featuring the campaign’s logo to the FIA president Jean Todt. During the next future Schuberth will present special designed FIA helmets of the Premium flip-up helmet C3 which will be used at major motorsports events.
Further more we will donate a replica of the commerative gold plated helmet, specially designed to mark seven time Formula 1 World Champion and Schuberth long-term partner to FIAS to be auctioned to raise funds for the Action for Road Safety campaign.

Filip Backlund and his new SR1 at Austria, Red Bull Ring

This weekend we vistited Filip Backlund at the IDM Race in Salzburg, Red Bull Ring. Filip is a very promising young driver from Sweden where he won the Swedish Superbike 2009 and now entered the IDM for several races. He did visit us earlier this year in Germany and had his helmet customized for him.

After finalizing the helmet with his personal design we took the helmet to Austria:

Alonsos Birthday Helmet 2011

This year we prepared a new helmet for Fernando Alonso´s 30th Birthday on 29th of July.

As he´s a real Motorbike and Ducati-Fan (he´s driving a custom-made Desmosedici RR) we provided him with a custom-made Schuberth SR1 at the Race in Hungary.

Here are the pictures of the red SR1 and we hope some more pictures on the track will follow ! Congratulations to making 3rd in Budapest and Happy Birthday !

Schuberth-Helme all around the world

We are very happy to see all the successful motorsports events of the last days.

First of all our warmest congratulations to our long-term partner Ralf Schumacher. After a podium rank in the DTM season’s opening race at Hockenheimring he finished the third race in Spielberg (Austria) on rank 2. Furthermore we are happy to be still on the top of the current championship with Mercedes driver Bruno Spengler.

A special highlight offered our Belgian driver Bertrand Baguette in the Indy 500 – the most legendary race worldwide in Indianapolis, USA. Starting from position 14 he passed the famous brick yard on an awesome 7th rank. Congratulations, Bertrand!

Not less spectacular and most glamorous is the annual Formula Grand Prix in Monaco. We are really happy to see Ferrari pilot Fernando Alonso on podium rank 2.
