A friend asked, “Half of year 2009 have passed, what have you accomplished?” This question really gave my brain some work to do.

Well, for starters, my career is SO MUCH MORE STABLE already. I can shout loudly, I earn a living now! Haha. Other then making money, I still love my job very much. Achieved quite a number of challenges that the company offered, and am glad that I make it. Thank god that I chose a right path, I know.

Enough said about my career. For my social circle, it has grown bigger, and much more meaningful to me and my job. From strangers, many have turned into friends, a few turned into good friends, one that could share your ups and downs. You know, its easier to differentiate people whom are trustworthy and sincere, and which of them are not. So yeah I no more care about those friends who only takes advantage on people, to hell you go.

My size now? It’s growing to L size already! I suspect my body is fond of XL size you know……. *CRY*

Life have been great.

Ordered a BlackBerry Storm with Celcom Corporate package, but it’s still not yet delivered to me. ANTICIPATING ON THAT BB PHONE! Took advantage of AirAsia’s cheap airfare, going on a vacation end of October. Hopefully the AHEENEE subside by that time la, and most importantly, my wallet can be full of cash when I go on vacation. Good friends are there when I needed them most. CLIENTS ARE HAPPY WITH MY SERVICE!! (I think this is the most important part in my career ba hahaha)

So that’s it. End reporting my doings. I don’t know when my next post will be, but you are welcome to anticipate it.

Anyways, it’s another week (fastest) until I can get my car. Sweats. Shaking legs again at home for another week I guess?

This post is actually to share some joy with you. In my first year of insurance career, finally, I made a claim. It was my brother actually.

Like many people, he didn’t trust insurance, but sadly I as his brother, he was “forced” to buy one from me. I got him a comprehensive cover, which has Death, Disability, 36 Critical Illnesses, Medical Reserve, Accident, and also savings.

3 months after he bought the insurance, he got admitted to the hospital. A total of 7 days stay in the hospital due to some viral infection in his intestine. According to the doctor, it all started with a flu. Phew never know that flu can be so dangerous.

To wrap things up, he claimed an amount of RM5k for his hospital bills. Besides the hospital bill, Prudential compensated him an additional hospital income of RM1,500.00 for his 6 nights stay (RM250.00 per night) separately. Yepp this is one of the feature that Prudential Medical Card has.

Yes. Instead of buying a stack of paper (That’s what people say of buying insurance, it’s like buying papers only), he now can SEE his insurance benefits already. I’m proud to say, luckily he bought this policy with me, if not he would really have to bear the hospital bill alone.

Anyway, everytime when I wanna blog, things kept happening. Excuses ya. At first was my Annual Dinner – themed Wild Wild West, and on that night my manager somehow poured wine INTO my PSP.

My button wasn’t functioning, and trust me I was real DOWN cos it’s almost the most expensive asset I have now, excluding my laptop of course.

I don’t know what to do. Maybe my PSP felt my pain, it was functioning normal 4 days later, and ever since then I was busy playing it. Then the big thing came.

I met with an accident. And here are some interesting picture I think you might be interested.

If you are thinking of of starting to lecture me about driving skills, or say that it’s my fault, get lost. You are not welcomed. =]

It all happened like that. It was a straight highway road, with speed limit of 80km/hr. As usual people driving in the most outer lane would drive at 80km/hr cause Penang people are kiasu, they seldom speed. Even if you wanna speed, the cars in front will drive at onle 80km/hr. So there goes your speeding dream.

I was one of the outer lane driver, on my way to the office.

ALL OF A SUDDEN, the carOne (Kancil) break, emergency break. Then carTwo (Persona) still managed to forsee carOne so she breaks too. Unfortunately, me, the carThree when saw carTwo breaking, there was no time for me to response. All I can do is only break.

The minute I see my car not slowing down fast enough, I knew I was going to bang, and POMM! Yah. Luckily I was with my seatbelt on. Nothing happened to me, at all but for my car, it’s a totally different case. I needn’t have to explain la, it’s all shown in the pictures above.

I thought only me and my carTwo was involved but when I got down, I realise there are also four cars behind me got involved.

Basically, carFour (Honda Civic) managed to stop before banging me, but poor thing, carFive, carSix, and carSeven (ALL LOCAL CARS) didn’t manage to stop, and bang on to carFour. OBVIOUSLY, local made stuffs still have a lot of improving space to catch up.

You see it was actually at the outer lane of the highway, so there is actually no reason to break. I actually blame this to carOne. Unfortunately, he/she went off after all the accident happened. I think all of us would really like to have his/her head twist DOWN!

By the way, my car suffers the most serious “injury”, the rest of the cars just got dented in the front or the back, or both but they can still move except for mine. -.-

One thing I was glad is that, nobody was hurt physically. None. And also, nobody did quarrel of fight, or anything. It’s as if everybody knew that they are going to face an accident. They, or we just calmly took some notepad to copy down the driver’s numberplate, and have some small chat. No blaming or whatsoever. Peaceful ending.

I wasn’t the one to take care of my car’s insurance, basically because it was all the while under my mum’s posession and my car’s renewal date is this June, which I haven’t  took after the INSURANCE part myself, I didn’t know what insurance company my car is insured under.

Gladly I saw the Kurnia sticker on my windscreen with a Toll-Free-Line. I called la requesting a tow truck. Minutes after that, Kurnia called back, saying that my car is NO MORE insured under Kurnia.

FTW!

That’s where problem starts. I called mum, and she also didn’t know what’s the insurance company of my car!! She direct me to the insurance agent. Called her, and finally get a number from her, it was from Jerneh Insurance. Logde a report, and wait for the tow truck came.

In the mean time, many kaypo’s drove so so so slow just to see what happened, which caused a massive jam on the highway. Half an hour later, police started to move our cars to one side where it won’t obstruct the traffic. Then it was all waiting for the tow truck.

Then I remember, as far as I know, mum said she wants to add my name into the car’s insurance but finally did she did that, I don’t know. Which means I need to pay a penalty of RM400 shall my name is not in the car’s name. So to avoid this, I can actually ask my brother (the owner of the car) to lodge the report instead of me.

I called mum asking whether is my name in the insurance, she didn’t know! Directing me to the agent again. I tried calling the agent, but the phone just couldn’t get through. Now I finally understand those people who have trouble to locate their insurance agent. IT’S JUST DISASTROUS.

In the end, tow truck came, and I decided not to lodge report, yet, until I have my insurance matters solved.

Anyways, this accident happened on 18th March, which is 5 days ago already. My car is now safely in the workshop, and I was slapped with a summon valued RM300. I am now car-less, and cash-less. GAWD! Anyone knows anybody that could offer me some discounts?!?!?!! PLEASE HELP ME THIS MISERABLE SOUL.

The next day, I woke up with a stiff neck, because my neck had a minor sprain when I bang with the car in front of me. With the impact of the car, I was supposed to FLY off my car through the front windscreen but luckily, my safety belt saved me. But also because of that, my neck got sprained in the process when my head swing outward but my body was strapped together with the belt.

Again, I am fine now.

Very moody now, so let me rant abit.

First I wanna screw the weather. Siok siok the sun is so flaming hot like the sunlights are drilling holes on my skin. It’s tortureous you know! Then I have to wear my long sleeve formal shirt with tie. OMFG this is a malaysian weather, and I am fat! (yes i admit it) so from now onwards, don’t expect me to be so formal unless I’m meeting some CEO or formal agencies. Siok siok it rained. Sometimes it drizzles a few drops and that’s it, MAKING THE WEATHER EVEN HOTTER! Sometimes it rained so heavily. Not that I want to complain the heavy downpour, but please not ONLY rain when I am about to leave my home or places. I get partially wet and maybe that’s how I am sick now.

GRRRR!

Then I wanna blame the economy. Why of all at this time you have crisis?? Why not when I’m studying ar?! You know because of the economy my job is now turned from hard to harder! With the current situation, I got to have some of my plans changed, like having a new car by year 2010. *CRY*! Then people working in fear of paycut or retrenchement, people become jobless, it’s so pitiful okay. Nobody deserve this kind of treatment. So next time the who who who who manages the finance, please plan properly. We don’t want recession in our economy cycle!

then I want to blame myself. LOL. I am just being so lazy I don’t know why. If I wasn’t this lazy, my blog will be updated in a higher frequency, my pay will be more (as i work more), my room won’t be this dusty, my parents will be happier, my fishes will grow faster, my manager will be happier, my hair will be more dense, my bedsheet would be changed, and I myself won’t have this post to rant already because I am very happy.

Actually in order for me to practive Life insurance like Hospitalisation, Critical Illness, Education plans, Retirement plans, etc AND General Insurance like vehicle insurance, travel insurance, accident insurance, etc, I am required to register a company, or become a sole proprietor.

Owning a company only looks good. Just because of owning this company, I now have to declare tax. OMFG. Never expect myself to declare my income tax this early stage of my life. But anyways, lucky for me, there are quite a few accountants around me, so I ASSUME when I have to declare my tax, I have somebody to look for lo.

Oh ya, I would like to take this opportunity to compliment on the SSM, for their speed in the whole process. I took not more then 30 minutes to complete from process A-Z, which I think their staffs are well trained.

Well done SSM, you guys are getting out from the typical “government” services. YOU GUYS ARE SO MUCH BETTER!!

My KL trip was so tiring! Rushing from one place to another, changing from one public transport to another, walking from one malls to another, my feet almost dissolve into pieces. Trust me, you will be much more exhausted when your time is so rush, the weather is raining, and the schedule is disrupted.

Despite being tired, I basically enjoyed my trip. I get to try some really good food in KL, get to meet with Damin (my colleague who obviously is doing very well in insurance), and also knowing a few new friends.

Wow.

Although my this business trip wasn’t really as successful as I could have imagined, but let’s put it in another way. I am still happy to go around KL to shop and eat round.

A lot of good food to share with my readers, but for the time being, let me just rest alright. It’s such a long time since I rest at home from morning to night lol.

Anyway, got myself a cat with love from Kinokuniya, KLCC. Love it.

I went to consult my doctor, he says it’s inflammation. Kanneh. So I had medicines from him, hoping that I wake up tomorrow my eyes will be as pretty as ever. Right..

Not only that, I bought this 4 bottles of the 3 legged rhino brand water, so called the cooling water to drink. Finished 2 bottles already, BUT I DON’T SEE ANY EFFECT LA!!

Seriously, the water tasted like my normal drinking water. Can anyone verify with me, does the water really has the cooling effect??

What’s worse, I’m going to KL tomorrow, which leaves me no time to rest this pair of pathetic eyes.

I still don’t have the chance to try any of them out, but I think they should taste good as I have confidence in Amos, the chef/baker.
